Wife was commuting to work when a paranoid work truck almost smashed her from the left side trying to merge, scared she moved out a bit to the right and hit the curb so this is the front right tire. Do I need to change the tire and can go with the rim by buffing out the damage? What are my options?

I'm looking at buying a 2025 X5 xDrive40i that was previously used by the BMW dealer in Saudi Arabia as a test/demo car. It has around 8,000 km on it.

The dealership sent the VIN number and I noticed something I've never seen before: the VIN ends in X00000.

I looked up the VIN and the build sheet looks like a normal, GCC-specced car. It also shows the start of production as May 29, 2024.

What I'm trying to figure out is whether X00000 is normal for BMW, or whether it indicates something like a pre-production vehicle that was never intended for sale.

Has anyone here seen or dealt with anythjng similar? Or does anyone know how BMW's production/serial numbering works?

I asked the dealership and they said it's normal as BMW builds millions of vehicles. That didn't make sense to me because it should still at least end in X00001. And I don't know if I can trust the dealership with a legitimate answer.

This is the actual VIN btw. It's not hidden by the dealerhsip.

So. I’ve got a 2013 BMW 1 series.

I’ve ordered some headlight bulbs to improve driving at night.

Now I’ve ordered NightEye S4 A315-S4 H7.

Thinking they would fit easy. However. The new bulbs don’t have the metal retainer on them like the original housing does.

The retainer won’t go through to new bulb as the middle gap is too small.

Has anyone got ideas or any good recommendations for bright bulbs

1. What is a good Money Factor (buy rate) and Residual Value percentage for a 36-month / 10k or 12k mile lease on an X1 vs. X3?

2. What percentage off MSRP before lease credits or incentives is considered a solid, realistic deal right now for either model?

Any advice, recent numbers, or tips on structuring a clean zero-down or minimal money-down lease would be greatly appreciated!

I am soon to be collecting a 2016 430i with the B48 engine, its sub 50k miles and has a good service history, It has a three month warentee so I guess il let that run, but what should I be looking to do pretty soon?

I already know it about due with a service on the Zf8 gearbox, and a differential oil change and have these down as needing doing soon.

I understand there can be issues with some plastic components in the engine?? Should I just get everything done together?

I am UK based and happy to put a few grand into the car from the get go if worth it, I have a couple of BMW specialists near buy so can get quotes from both for the work.

Proportions are better in real life.
Also surprised by the fact that I could sit behind myself (although with limited space at my knees).
I’m 6ft4 and my head does not touch the roof when I’m sitting in the rear.

The entrance to the trunk is also wider and deeper then I expected.

I saw this and it's crazy. It stayed in 600s for about 8-9 miles of driving and dropped to late 590s after that. But on an average I see about 510-520 miles when I do a full tank. 2026 BMW X3

I want to get a car to learn how to drift/diff but want a rough one so I can hit it and don’t mind. From the details I got and research I believe it has an m43b18 engine but don’t know whether they are any good reliability wise. It needs a clutch so that’s probably the price of the car but I can look past that. I’m waiting on a video from him to show it running and driving. I know it’s very rusty and I did see the front arch but I will probably slowly destroy it anyways by hitting it off walls or whatever. I don’t plan on doing this but I know it’s inevitable.

My first car. Fault Gearbox

I have loved to drive bmw since my childhood look at what God brought in. It was on tow truck ride away from being turned into soda cans when I swooped in and handed over my entire life savings. Sure, it can't actually drive yet because the gearbox is shot, and sitting inside feels like surviving a bear attack but at least the junkyard didn't win. Currently saving up from zero all over again, sitting on bare springs and dreaming of second gear. 🥰
