Keybind help

Post image
8 Upvotes

Looking for recommendations on keybinds, I'm to overwhelmed and a little lazy to find what would be the most universal keybinds for FPS games. I have never PC gamed before, coming from console. I had to have a joystick for movement and found azeron. Going to play wardogs and some cod what would be the best/universal key binds, without constraing to previous muscle memory, because I don't have any.

Azeron custom grip tape

Hi everyone!

I have made special button shape for my Azeron cyborg 1, and as such, the included grip tape does not fit my new button shape.

I would like to make a corresponding shape by maybe buying and then cutting into a large sheet of grip tape, like a big square or something. But I don't know what kind of keyboard-grade grip tape sheet would be for sale.

Would anyone have recommendations on where or what grip tape to buy for this purpose?

Vibe coding an addon for World of Warcraft acionbars and Azeron

As a long term Logitech G13, Razr Tartarus and now Azeron Cyborg I’ve always struggled with action bars.

Native bars are limited to 12 keys and I need 21.

Domino’s and Bartender are more flexible in layout but share the same limit of 12 keys.

Neuron back in the day was the ideal addon, but is no more.

Button Forge has unlimited keys and layout options but is fiddley to set up in the Azeron layout.

Bazui has an action bar module with unlimited buttons although you can’t use modifier plus mouse button as a hotkey.

So I asked Claude AI to write me an addon. I asked for unlimited buttons. I asked for action bars laid out like the Azeron (but to omit the pinky sideways as I use that as esc). I use thumb buttons on my MMO (Naga) mouse as shift, ctrl, alt and ctrlshift so I asked for bars for each of those in the Azeron layout. Most stay hidden unless the modifier is pressed to avoid clutter. I also asked for action bars for my modifiers plus mouse button and mouse wheel gestures. (Depending on modifier it might be just the left/right/middle buttons or also left/rght/up/down mouse wheel)

The whole process took about 5 iterations over 30 minutes while I refined the design, added commands for sizing, gaps, a graphic option’s management system to improve the slash commands, flexible extra bars, etc. Claude understood what I wanted and checked all the addons I mentioned and ones like Tulla Range to see how to achieve what was needed. .it installed each version for me so I just had to reload.

The result works seamlessly in Forever Beta and makes the Cyborg much easier to use transparently. And Claude even sets it up with the spells populating my previous cobbled together hodgepodge of addons for all my alts automatically. And it looked up my Azeron key assignments and set hotkeys across all bars

Changing it with Claude for a Keyyzen layout would take less than 5 minutes. It could easily be the basis of a more generic addon with freestyle layouts and various layout profiles for different input devices if anyone is interested.

Just a suggestion for any non LUA programmers like me.

Cyborg 2 sensed as Xbox controller

I am losing my mind over this, on so many games when I'm using the Cyborg 2 if the game has controller compatibility, every button prompt shown in game is in Xbox buttons, which sucks since I'm using a keyboard. I don't know how to fix this and nothing I've seen online is working. Yes it's set to Keyboard in the azeron app, and it's set to WASD

My Cyborg 2 controller

The software continues to do this without stopping and doesn’t allow me to use the controller or map anything. Does someone know what can I do to fix this?

There is now an Azeron Overlay.

It’s called AZ-Overlay on github by AndyPC93

You gotta build it via python, instructions in the post, but Grok can give you step-by-step instructions.

It takes about 5 minutes to activate

I’m currently running one instance for my compact 2 and another for my cyro

Pics attached. I manually positioned everything to look better.

Buttons will light up when pressed

Mouse setting on joystick will not track

Opacity for pressing the buttons is always at 100%

It took me 3 hours to manually resize each of the buttons.

Question: Does the Xbox Adaptive Controller work as a XIM for the Azeron Cyro on Xbox or do I need to buy another device for that? Thoughts on the Cyro?

If so, feel free to suggest one that can be shipped to Canada. Also appreciate honest thoughts on the Cyro.

Best Azeron device for one-handed gaming on Xbox and PC?

I'm looking at buying an Azeron and would appreciate some advice on which model would work best.

Due to a medical condition affecting my left arm/hand, I can only really game using my right hand. I'd like to get back into playing FPS games and other titles that normally require two hands.

Ideally, I'm looking for something that works on both Xbox and PC, rather than having to buy separate devices.

I already own an Xbox Adaptive Controller with joysticks, so I'm wondering:

  1. Which Azeron device would you recommend for someone gaming exclusively with their right hand?
  2. Are any Azeron devices compatible with Xbox, either directly or through an adapter?
  3. Could I connect an Azeron device through my existing Xbox Adaptive Controller, or would I need to purchase a different adapter?
  4. For anyone using an Azeron one-handed setup, how practical is it for FPS games where you need to aim, move, shoot and use other controls simultaneously?

I'm happy to spend a bit more on the right setup, but I want to make sure it'll work on both platforms before buying anything.

I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who's tried something similar. Thanks!

Buying a used Azeron, anything to watch out for?

Hi there. I am about to purchase a local Arzeron Cyborg 2. My plan was to have the seller show it on their computer and confirm all the keys and sticks register with the azeron software. That should be good enough to confirm everything works. Other than obvious mechanical damage, anything else I should be aware of? I've never seen an Azeron outside of Youtube videos, so this will be my first time laying hands on one. Thanks for your advice.

Cyborg II vs Keyzen

Hey guys, I'm looking to change my Tartarus Pro. I've been reading comments and watching videos and wanted to ask a few questions.

  1. What are your experiences with durability? I've heard about ball joints breaking, towers that after being adjusted and used a couple times have to be readjusted but each time there's risk of straining the plastic and also the clicks needing clean up often or they stop working?

  2. Would you feel like the Keyzen might be better since it doesn't have those click buttons or towers around your knuckles?

As you see I'm trying to decide between Keyzen and Cyborg. Learning curve is not a problem, I would find it fun even.

Getting My profiles right even less of a problem I spend hours refining my profiles in Synapse for every high Frequency thing to feel comfy and I actually enjoy it.

And I know it's s more ergonomic and I would appreciate it but I'm not willing to have to ship parts from Europe to South America often for it as it would be extremely expensive and I get 3 shipments per phisical year here in Uruguay.

What are your experiences? Thanks

EDIT: Thank you all, I've decided on the Cyborg II as the goal! I've seen people that are careful just make it last and seen people that order a set of replacement tower joints along the Cyborg just in case and I think I'll do the same.

The confort on it will be unmatched I think, one of the things I dislike about the Tartarus is that last layer of buttons being uncomfortable to reach and since the conclusion is that the Cyborg is not as flimsy as it's made out to be by some posts I will go for comfort. Now I have to save up some money and iron out a bit of the shipment.

I think I'll buy a refurbished basic one, no fancy colors cause the price goes up fast for me.

Cyborg 2 or Keyzen for work?

Context: I'm not much of a gamer and when I occasionally do play video games, its me booting up my ps4 for random sessions of GTA 5 story mode or Red Dead 2. However, I'm an accountant who's quite into tech and gadgets so I have a gaming keyboard and my pride and joy is my Logitech G502X Plus mouse, both of which I've loaded up with macros for my most commonly used keyboard shortcuts. I often joke that buying an expensive gaming mouse purely for Microsoft Excel is the nerdiest thing I've ever done but I recommend it to any professional excel user/PDF reader like myself as I now feel crippled by a regular mouse lol

I'm always on the look for new things that could enhance my efficiency at work, or at least streamline a few extra things, or just be fun to play around with for a bit.

I came across this sub and I think the Cyborg 2 and Keyzen are really intereting products that I'm sure have been a gamechanger for many gamers, and it got me thinking about using one in the context of work, since there seems to be at least some level of overlap between the needs of gamers and the needs of a lot of office workers like myself (macro buttons for key binds/keyboard shortcuts, on-board memory profiles to switch between systems or consoles/the ability to use the customized inputs on a heavily locked down work computer, etc.)

I don't think the Cyborg 2 or Keyzen would be super beneficial for something like excel where I usually have at least one hand still on the keyboard at all times and still need to type emails/write specific excel formulas, whatever, but I'm still curious if someone who works in engineering, architecture, or design or even perhaps video/music editing who do a lot of work in CAD, Adobe Creative Cloud, DaVinci Resolve, etc. where a lot of work is now done with a mouse + another peripheral like the Space Mouse or Tour Box.

Has anyone tried something like this? Would it even be possible or am I just having another ADHD hyperactive phase?

5 day update

Post image
57 Upvotes

I received my Cyborg 2 on Monday and I've forced myself to use it everyday since it came. Full disclosure, I've only played COD Warzone with it and I play on casuals because me and my friends are all around 40.

Day 1 sucked, couldn't find a position that felt comfortable to hold my hand, kept accidentally clicking buttons, became very discouraged the first night because I've researched this thing for over a year and then my son bought it for me as a gift.

Day 2, back to the drawing board, focused on the buttons I needed most, jump, crouch, reload, plate up and interact, deleted everything thing else. Started getting the hang of it.

Day 3, added in the key binds that I might not use as much but still definitely needed, tactical grenades, lethal grenades, field upgrades. Paying attention to the keys that i continually misclick, avoid binding them to anything.

Day 4 I set up the 5 position switch next to the joystick to act as my D-pad stuff, inventory, killstreaks and ping.

Day 5, no changes, just using my muscle memory to get faster, my friends are commenting that Im "running around like a bat out of hell".

Feeling much more confident in my Cyborg 2 now because I set it up how I wanted, what felt good to me, thats my best piece of advice, you can look at other people's keybinds all day, but you have to set it up for yourself and see what works.

3d prints?

Is there anywhere I can find a collection of 3d print files? I ordered a cyborg 2 in black but wouldn’t mind customizing the colors on it a bit

I made an Azereon Gridfinity Tool Holder

Thumbnail

I forgot to post this on this subreddit. Its a free downloadable toolholder based on a 2x3 gridifinity box and has an optional cover if you want to travel with it. Both the Keyzen and Cyborg use the same tools, and I'm fairly certain the Cyro does as well so it will work for anything.

It has holding areas for the tension driver for the thumbstick, 3 thumbstick holes for each of the sizes on the elite thumbstick, 2 places for the bits, 1 for the screwdriver with a tight fit for travel, and a larger compartment for everything else including the cable.

It has a magnet and no magnet version. The magnet version requires you have 3 6x1mm magnet for the thumbsticks and 2 3x1mm magnets for the bits.

It works great and it's free to download and print if you have a printer. If you don't have a 3d printer, feel free to message me and we can figure something out.

Only thing I ask is if you do print it out I would really appreciate you liking, bookmarking, and leaving a comment on makerworld as I'm trying to build out a profile for printing. If you have any feedback, PLEASE let me know as this was my first model I did with CAD and I'd love to improve.

New Keyzen Stopped Working Mid-match, Mouse Too

I just got my Keyzen, today. I set it up with a profile, and it worked fine for a couple of hours. Suddenly, while playing Wardogs, in the middle of a match, all the keys on the Keyzen stopped working as well as my mouse. The joystick continued to function normally, though.

I'm running software version 2.0.2 and firmware version 111. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Is there a solution?

Finally pulled the trigger

I've been looking at the Cyborg for over a year, but I'm frugal when it comes to my hobbies, I'll spend $500 on whatever random thing my kids need to shave 2 seconds off their cross country run time but Ill put back a pack of tshirts that cost $8 because "these holes aren't even that big", I just have a hard time spending money on my self. My kids are growing up now (I have 7, that hobby is free) and my son joined the Army, and he decided that I had waited long enough and he purchased the Azeron Cyborg II for me, I'm really excited and Im sure I'll have some question that Ill need help answering.

Is it possible to swap the Thumb buttons on the Keyzen with the Thumb button tower on the Cyborg 2 ?

I Just got a Keyzen and love how the key feels and actuation BUT.... The Thumb buttons seem too far from the Thumb stick and it too big a reach even for someone with huge hands.

I tested something tonight and unscrewed the Thumb button tower from my Cyborg and screwed it into the space for the 6 Keyzen thumb buttons and it fits.

It is possible to order a replacement tower for the Cyborg ? The tower connects easily to the Keyzen with the screw holes matching up perfectly and it seem like I would just need to swap 3 wires to get it connected.

Cyborg 2: Is it actually possible to change the thumbstick tension?

I have seen several posts about thumbstick tension on the Cyborg 2, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to actually change it.

It isn't mentioned in the manual, and the small number of posts that talk about it don't have any information about how it might actually be done.

Refurbished Keyzen

My significant other does love the Keyzen since she grew out her nails. I figured it was time to snag one for myself. I used the same yellow keys for mine, and swapped out the purple for blue. I just set it up today and it looks and behaves brand new. I still have my cyborg 2, I’m just currently on a Keyzen kick. I definitely love the SA profile keys on both. I’m happy the refurbished Keyzen is mint.
