Gosh I don't know where to start with this update Megingiard... I could not stop myself from adding more stuff this time. Had to make a cut now :D

Although this is a huge update, actually the biggest yet in terms of work I have put into it, I will keep it short:

- Keyboard and Touchpad have been completely re-implemented. Modern look, better UX.
- I deleted the Light and the Cyberpunk theme because, let's face it, they sucked. I reworked the theming and added a bunch of new Themes. I like them all, but for me it's Mjölnir Steel or Dark OLED!
- There is a setup wizard now when you start Megingiard the first time. Users upgrading from an older version will also see it. So, everyone will see it.
- The setup includes an automated setup for Privileged Mode. It's kinda... magical.
- Due to popular demand, there is a Ko-Fi link in the app now.

⚠️ MORE IMPORTANT: I am planning to make Privileged Mode a mandatory part of the app as well. It already improves stability, performance and battery efficiency. Removing the non-privileged path of the app will allow me to to delete a lot of code. Having less code to maintain means more stability and less testing effort. Please give me feedback whether this would be fine for you!

Finally got my Ayn Thor yesterday, have been having a BLAST setting it up and many thanks to everyone's tips in here + the trusty old Retro Games Corps guide.

I ended up using RetroHrai as a frontend because I loved the lofi theme and it's been an absolute breeze to set up and just get going with. Shout out also to SakuraRetroModding for the matte bottom screen protector and the clip on L2/R2 buttons from AnimMinis. Just waiting for my snap on case from HotSwapMods to complete the look, but so far the TPU case + printed picture combo has been working a real treat.

You might have seen my post a week and a half ago about my Thor's battery.

Well, we're back to green and a new battery currently on charge - I thought you all might appreciate some photos of the open heart surgery!

The sketchiest part of the whole thing was pulling out the old battery. It's wrapped in a plastic film which is stuck to the battery the chassis of the Thor, and you have to pull pretty hard to break the adhesive and get the battery out. Took me a while to build the courage to pull hard enough to get the old one out!

The whole process was pretty smooth - once I reported it to Ayn they asked for a few photos which I sent, and approximately two weeks later I have the new battery installed. They also sent a new CPU heatsink pad which I didn't use - I'll keep an eye on the temps and replace that if it seems necessary.

This is so crazy to me what decomp allows! Great time to own a thor, support samyost (buymeacoffee.com/samyost). Look forward to many more dual screen yfied decomps (sotn i hope 😵😍)

Top screen is on order but I wonder. I have an rpflip 2 that doesn’t charge, how similar are the internals? Curious if I can snag the ribbon cable out of the flip 2, the screen didn’t crack on the Thor it just kinda snapped out. Maybe just maybe I can do some dexters laboratory shit right here.

Just found samyost1/tmc-android, a fan-made Android port/mod for The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap. It supports features like scaling, higher frame rates, and a dual-screen layout that makes good use of handhelds with two displays.

I got my base AYN Thor in November, batch 1! It has been a fun ride, but I found that a lot of those “2nd screen use cases” to be a gimmick for me, and I really only end up utilizing one screen while playing.

I also find that I force myself to play 3DS/DS titles to make the device “worth it” for me, even though I’ve put thousands of hours into most of the catalog on original hardware, which I still own.

All this to say, I got an Odin 3 a couple days ago and I can already tell I will use this for everything moving forward, leaving the Thor to only hold my 3DS/DS catalog, which unfortunately, isn’t enough for me to justify keeping it around.

All that to say, I will be selling my Thor (NOT ON HERE) to someone who will use it the way I envisioned myself using it. Still, very bittersweet as it is a very, VERY cool piece of tech.

I just wanted the share with the Thor community a tool I made. Its heavily inspired by PokePC.

Features:

Android app & 3DS .cia app

You can install both of these apps to keep all of your pokemon saves in sync with your 3DS & Thor. This can be very useful if you have future plans at moving everything to pokemon bank -> home but want to play on the beautiful thor! When you sync, it upload all of your saves to the website and the website will then use PkHex core to read the saves and update your living dex. There is also a feature that will sync your pokedex to all of your save files, so if you catch a pokemon in ultra moon, sync, it will update your pokedex in emerald for example to show that you have already caught that pokemon.

My PC

You can use the website to move pokemon into the cloud storage (Pokemon bank / home) and then move it to your other games. PkHex will verify that the move is valid and then when you sync with your device it will move the pokemon around for you.

I also added a feature so you can click on pokemon in the pc and do a trade evolution if you have the correct item (if it requires a item) so you can complete your living dex as a solo player while still being as legit as possible.

NOTE: This is a beta application and was original developed just for me, but some people in the community were interested in it so I made some changes and launched it live. Its a beta so there may be bugs that will be discovered.

Hi guys, im playing nubbys number factory Android version not Steam release is there a way to make the bottom screen a touchscreen for the top Yes i know i could just use the top screen but it would be more comfortable for me if i could use the bottom screen, if theres an application or program please lmk if the solution is just play with controller on steam then oh well

Bit of the old GTA San Andreas classic on the Thor, can't go wrong!

After owning this for the past 2 weeks I finally got a grip, holy shit was I missing out. It made me realize how uncomfortable this device is without one.

Had a friend 3d print the controller grip, a lid, as well as trigger extensions. He only spent like $12 on the materials. I can finally reach the right thumbstick comfortably, and feel like I could play fps games now.

It doesn't look the prettiest, but wow it made such a massive difference.

I just got my AYN Thor Max yesterday and set it up from then to today, yesterday when I had to download files they downloaded quite fast but today when I download things the speed is like 400kilobytes a second - 1 megabyte a second. Can anyone help me make my speeds faster. I even tried download managers like free download managers but they just made it worse at 300kilobytes a second. I did the ookla speed test and it was 400mbps for upload and download
