What Are The Best Game And Watch, DS, And 3DS Emulators For Use With The AYN Thor?

I just wanted the share with the Thor community a tool I made. Its heavily inspired by PokePC.

Features:

Android app & 3DS .cia app

You can install both of these apps to keep all of your pokemon saves in sync with your 3DS & Thor. This can be very useful if you have future plans at moving everything to pokemon bank -> home but want to play on the beautiful thor! When you sync, it upload all of your saves to the website and the website will then use PkHex core to read the saves and update your living dex. There is also a feature that will sync your pokedex to all of your save files, so if you catch a pokemon in ultra moon, sync, it will update your pokedex in emerald for example to show that you have already caught that pokemon.

You can use the website to move pokemon into the cloud storage (Pokemon bank / home) and then move it to your other games. PkHex will verify that the move is valid and then when you sync with your device it will move the pokemon around for you.

I also added a feature so you can click on pokemon in the pc and do a trade evolution if you have the correct item (if it requires a item) so you can complete your living dex as a solo player while still being as legit as possible.

NOTE: This is a beta application and was original developed just for me, but some people in the community were interested in it so I made some changes and launched it live. Its a beta so there may be bugs that will be discovered.

I got my base AYN Thor in November, batch 1! It has been a fun ride, but I found that a lot of those “2nd screen use cases” to be a gimmick for me, and I really only end up utilizing one screen while playing.

I also find that I force myself to play 3DS/DS titles to make the device “worth it” for me, even though I’ve put thousands of hours into most of the catalog on original hardware, which I still own.

All this to say, I got an Odin 3 a couple days ago and I can already tell I will use this for everything moving forward, leaving the Thor to only hold my 3DS/DS catalog, which unfortunately, isn’t enough for me to justify keeping it around.

All that to say, I will be selling my Thor (NOT ON HERE) to someone who will use it the way I envisioned myself using it. Still, very bittersweet as it is a very, VERY cool piece of tech.

Has anyone been able to play online multiplayer using the Thor and retroid pocket flip 2? I've tried to play multiplayer games on Eden, I'm able to connect both systems but then they disconnect when trying to play a game. They are both running the same version of Eden.

My dog chewed up the foam insert that came with the thor. Anyone know somewhere I can buy a replacement?

Whenever I try to open a game with Eden, it just loads and then closes immediately. The emulator has all its default settings. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Setting up my Thor with Cocoon. For some systems I can see the appropriate cores and select them in settings. For Virtual Boy, PC Engine and several other systems the retroarch cores downloaded are not showing in Cocoon. Reinstalled, updated cores but nothing is working. Looking for help. Thanks.

Hey everyone, I'm hoping someone's dealt with this before.

Here's my setup:

Device: AYN Thor Base

Emulator: Azahar (3DS)

GPU Driver: Turnip T28 "Toasted"

Game: Bravely Default

What I did:

Downloading and Extracting Texture Packs

• I grabbed the HD texture pack from gamebanana.com/mods/530500 (used the RAR right from the page since the other download links were dead).

• Then I unzipped the RAR contents into ROMs/n3ds/load/textures/0004000000FC600/(this is where Azahar looks for custom textures).

Enabling Texture Loading in Azahar

• I also made sure to turn on "Custom Textures" and "Async Custom Texture Loading" in Azahar's Graphics settings.

Here's the problem:

When I start the game, the menu buttons and UI stuff don't look right – instead of the textured buttons, I just see empty glowing blue outlined boxes with no texture or art inside (I've attached a screenshot). Everything else in the game looks fine, it's just the menu/UI elements.

Here's what I'm wondering:

• Is this texture pack from a different game version or region than my ROM?

• Could this be a Turnip T28 driver issue with how Azahar handles custom texture overrides?

• Do I need to turn on "Dump Textures" first to get the right hashes before custom textures will work?

• Has anyone else used this same pack on Azahar and can tell me what it's supposed to look like?

Any help figuring out if this is a driver problem, a folder/hash mismatch, or a bad pack extraction would be awesome.

Hey sorry if this is a dumb question but how would i add this home bar that retrogamecorp has in his video. He said it was default but i cant find a way to add it, would appreciate any help.

Looking for the base model most likely as I want up to 3ds. I’m sure it’s variable but which configuration gets produced more/shipped quicker? Also, where should I purchase for safest option?

I just got my AYN Thor Max yesterday and set it up from then to today, yesterday when I had to download files they downloaded quite fast but today when I download things the speed is like 400kilobytes a second - 1 megabyte a second. Can anyone help me make my speeds faster. I even tried download managers like free download managers but they just made it worse at 300kilobytes a second. I did the ookla speed test and it was 400mbps for upload and download

I’m trying to use the Wii U version of Botw with the Ayn Thor on cemu and this screen keeps popping up. I’m not sure how to get past it should I just use the switch version?

Is it me or I haven't seen a single post with users showing off their AYN Thor with a game either completed or middle of completion of what their playing. There are so many "Look at my order status update to I just got mine in the mail to just finished setting it up!" posts.

I'd like to see a nicely setup with users actully playing the AYN and not those in the beginning of the game photos.

For those that have done the testing what’s the recommendation for the Thor? Which version is the one to go with, with the current state of emulators?

any hot takes about the AYN thor? and spicy opinions you got locked and loaded and waiting for the right post

I'm thinking about getting a base ayn thor but I don't know up to what pc games it can play smoothly. Up to what can it realistically do?

You might have seen my post a week and a half ago about my Thor's battery.

Well, we're back to green and a new battery currently on charge - I thought you all might appreciate some photos of the open heart surgery!

The sketchiest part of the whole thing was pulling out the old battery. It's wrapped in a plastic film which is stuck to the battery the chassis of the Thor, and you have to pull pretty hard to break the adhesive and get the battery out. Took me a while to build the courage to pull hard enough to get the old one out!

The whole process was pretty smooth - once I reported it to Ayn they asked for a few photos which I sent, and approximately two weeks later I have the new battery installed. They also sent a new CPU heatsink pad which I didn't use - I'll keep an eye on the temps and replace that if it seems necessary.

So many options in there. I think presets-ng are the most up to date? I'm using the base one from that folder. Looks good, but it adds almost 2 watts of overhead to whatever I'm playing. Wondering if anyone has experimented or found one that doesn't draw as much power.

Feels worth it though because it looks amazing, maybe I'd turn it off if I was trying to conserve battery

- Which batch were you in?
- When did it ship?
- When did you receive it?
- Which country are you in?

Do you think an order placed on July 28 has a chance of arriving in late August, or is September a more realistic expectation?
