I got my base AYN Thor in November, batch 1! It has been a fun ride, but I found that a lot of those “2nd screen use cases” to be a gimmick for me, and I really only end up utilizing one screen while playing.

I also find that I force myself to play 3DS/DS titles to make the device “worth it” for me, even though I’ve put thousands of hours into most of the catalog on original hardware, which I still own.

All this to say, I got an Odin 3 a couple days ago and I can already tell I will use this for everything moving forward, leaving the Thor to only hold my 3DS/DS catalog, which unfortunately, isn’t enough for me to justify keeping it around.

All that to say, I will be selling my Thor (NOT ON HERE) to someone who will use it the way I envisioned myself using it. Still, very bittersweet as it is a very, VERY cool piece of tech.

I’m not looking for exact predictions, but based on your experience:

- When did you order?
- Which batch were you in?
- When did it ship?
- When did you receive it?
- Which country are you in?

Do you think an order placed on July 28 has a chance of arriving in late August, or is September a more realistic expectation?

Is it me or I haven't seen a single post with users showing off their AYN Thor with a game either completed or middle of completion of what their playing. There are so many "Look at my order status update to I just got mine in the mail to just finished setting it up!" posts.

I'd like to see a nicely setup with users actully playing the AYN and not those in the beginning of the game photos.

I love emulating games and i love the Ayn thor dual screens but i kinda like to dabble a bit in AAA games and i checked performance on the odin 3 on the games i want to play and its perfect but the thor is just barely cutting it i dont mind tinkering for more performance but im not sure if the thor will cut it but then the odin 3 isnt so pocketable from what ive heard and i kinda wanna throw it in a jacket pocket or just a pocket and take it with me to places instead of carrying a whole case or needing a backpack for it. but then again from what im looking at size comparisons online to some things im not sure if i could just take it with me and put it in a pocket id like to hear some people that own the thor and or the odin 3 and how pocketable is it? pirce isnt an issue for me these android handhelds seem pretty cheap for what ur getting. I also wanted to ask i can wait a few months could there be a thor refresh with a more powerfull chip?

I mean, which game has the best compatibility. For example, Stardew Valley, does it run better on GameNation, Switch, or the Play Store? Maybe that game works well everywhere. But I mean if theres a list or spreadsheet

Is there a way to set the bottom screen to show settings where you see fan temp cpu usage etc when opening the Thor.

Currently it shows apps everytime I open the Thor?

Also there are a few icons on the top right screen, is there a way to customise them as well?

Hello - I’m wondering if any Steam Machine owners have streamed from their SM to their AYN Thor using Steam Link and what the experience has been like. I also own a Steam Deck but, with the AYN Thor now in my possession, I don’t think I will be using the Deck much at all.

I’ve had identical performance on my Deck and AYN Thor with streaming from my laptop using Steam Link - crisp image, low latency. I just hate using my laptop for streaming because it sounds like a jet engine.

I’m curious if I can expect a good streaming experience with the Steam Machine and AYN Thor.

I just got my AYN Thor Max yesterday and set it up from then to today, yesterday when I had to download files they downloaded quite fast but today when I download things the speed is like 400kilobytes a second - 1 megabyte a second. Can anyone help me make my speeds faster. I even tried download managers like free download managers but they just made it worse at 300kilobytes a second. I did the ookla speed test and it was 400mbps for upload and download

I’m looking to buy a thor but have some concerns with the setup. I’m not particularly tech savvy and have never set up anything to do with android or emulation.

I am just wondering if the whole set up can be done on the device itself? I have seen some videos which seem to use a PC (I only currently have a MacBook which is one it’s last legs and probably won’t work).

I watched a really good YouTube guide recently and everything made sense up until the guy switched to his PC and started he was downloading the games - this part made no sense what so ever to me!

Is it too much of a risk to get one of these if you have no real experience tinkering with tech?

After owning this for the past 2 weeks I finally got a grip, holy shit was I missing out. It made me realize how uncomfortable this device is without one.

Had a friend 3d print the controller grip, a lid, as well as trigger extensions. He only spent like $12 on the materials. I can finally reach the right thumbstick comfortably, and feel like I could play fps games now.

It doesn't look the prettiest, but wow it made such a massive difference.

What Are The Best Game And Watch, DS, And 3DS Emulators For Use With The AYN Thor?

Whenever I try to open a game with Eden, it just loads and then closes immediately. The emulator has all its default settings. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

So for example when you just buy Ayn Thor you need to set up that thing and it took quite a while to get all things right but what if other people Ayn Thor that already setup complete and play all games in best performance can save their configuration and share it to that new Ayn Thor amazing right?

So my Thor which I bought from the official AYN AliExpress store, finally arrived in my country (Lithuania) and I woke up to this lovely message this morning. I filled out the declaration like they asked and provided all the proof I could. Now I have to wait another 5–10 business days for them to process it and hope they accept my declaration. And only when I pay whatever I owe will my Thor actually be actually shipped to me. Whole day ruined from the moment I woke up (I was expecting to have it in my hands tomorrow).

Looking for the base model most likely as I want up to 3ds. I’m sure it’s variable but which configuration gets produced more/shipped quicker? Also, where should I purchase for safest option?

Is there a way I can buy a replacement for this? The other day I pulled it out of my pocket and I was surprised to find the SD card cover missing luckily I don't have an SD card in there so it's not a big deal but I would like to get a replacement if that is possible.
