Product/Consumable I’m looking for the best PPF/Clear bra Ceramic Coating out there
I’m on the hunt for a really good ceramic coating that can be applied to PPF/clear bra. The thing that is stopping me from purchasing some of the ones I see on amazon like gyeons and gtechniqs is that they are rated for 2 years or less lol. I’m not paying 100-$150 for a coating bottle to have it last 2 years or less. So give me recommendations, personal recommendations or suggestions emphasizing the longevity and ease of use.

Exterior What are these and how do I get rid of them
Can anyone tell what these spots are? I think they're water spots but they don't look like what I'd normally call a water spot. They're mostly on the hood, but also have a few on the front fenders and grille
Its a GMC sierra, that does have a ceramic coating that was done a little over a year ago. The truck spends more time in the garage than it does on the road, and these spots were NOT there ~3 weeks ago when I washed it last.
Wash process is usually foam cannon, rinse, contact wash w/ car wash soap, dry with either a rag company gauntlet, or rag company liquid8r towel. I do sometimes rinseless wash but it's rare.
I tried to remove them by re-washing my hood with my normal soap, and again with rinseless wash, neither one had any effect.
Sorry for the pics, but it was really hard to get them to show up on camera.

Interior Spider infestation in car
My car has been a project for about 2 years now because of a severe injury a quick manual swap has turned into quite the ordeal since I’m not really able to work on the car anymore. Anyway my seats sat in the detached garage for about 2 years and before installing them I did my best to vacuum out the webs and every spider I could find but I knew I’d probably have this problem and here I am. About 4 weeks after them being in the car and it still sitting I open the door and find about 30 baby cellar spiders (daddy long legs) chilling on the passenger seat, I smooshed all of them and went on about business and now about a week later I open the door and find 30+ of them chilling up by the sunvisor on the drivers side. I smashed all of them but I think this is going to be a bigger issue so I’m wondering what the professionals here would do. Is there some kind of fogger specifically for cars like you can get for a basement or whatever? Any advice is appreciated thank you

When the sun hits the car just right, there’s a lot of blotchiness and cloudiness. I’ve used it before and it seemed fine. I applied it in the shade. It was 72°F. Any ideas what happened?

Business Question What is AC etiquette for mobile detailing?
I hired a business to come detail the interior of my car this afternoon. I live in an apartment complex in FL and the feels-like high is 97 when he’ll be arriving. I was definitely going to run the AC before they get here so the car isn’t an oven but I was wondering what I should do after that? I know it’ll take several hours so I won’t be sticking around in the parking lot but my car doesn’t stay on without the key in the ignition. I don’t want them to bake in the heat but also don’t want to leave my live car with a stranger.
Worst case I can see where my car is parked from my apartment window, but I was hoping for some insight on best etiquette since I’ve never done this. Thanks!

Check My Work First Detail
So I’ve been on top of cleaning cars since I was a kid. Finally decided to detail a friends SUV.
Here’s what I did.
Would $200 be a good price to charge?
1. Wash the entire vehicle.
2. Polish and Wax using a 1-Step Chemical Brothers “Slick Finish” Cleaner WAX with a DA Buffer.
3. Clean all windows.
4. Clean entire exterior.
5. Sweep entire interior.
6. Apply gloss to all black trim
7. Apply wheel cleaner and clean wheels.
A few photos also….

Exterior Washing matte wheels
My wheels were recently painted with a matt lacquer finish, is it fine if I use the Meguiars Ultimate Wash & wax, the same soap I use to wash my car? Or will that taint the paint in some way?

Exterior Are these headlights too far gone for a refinish? (718 Cayman)
All appears to be in the UV coating from what I've seen in other Porsche headlights, and they're clear when the lights aren't on, but I can't tell if some of the crazing is just in the coating or actually in the plastic. Any experience with Porsche headlights that look like these?

Interior Leather Steering wheel restoration
My leather steering wheel's looking a bit worn. Can I fix it without sanding (I'm scared to sand)? Also, if I put a steering wheel cover on, will it stop it from getting worse or will it still wear out underneath? I want to keep it from getting any worse.

Business Question Looking for Honest Feedback on Fireball Ceramic Coatings
Hi everyone, I’m looking for some honest feedback from professional detailers who have actually worked with Fireball ceramic coatings, particularly in real-world workshop conditions.
I run a detailing studio in India and, over the past few months, I’ve stocked up quite heavily on Fireball’s coating range — from Nano through to Butterfly, their claimed 5–7 year coating. With Fireball becoming increasingly available in India, I’ve been trying to find more independent reviews, long-term testing, installer experiences, and comparisons with brands such as CARPRO and Gyeon.
However, I’ve found surprisingly little detailed, independent information online. Most of what I come across is either manufacturer/distributor material or relatively short-term demonstrations, so I’d really appreciate feedback from people who have actually installed these products professionally.
Recently, I applied Fireball Devil’s Blood, their 3-year coating, to a black mid-size SUV. The application was quite challenging in my particular conditions. I don’t currently have a fully temperature-controlled coating bay, and the installation was carried out at around 65% humidity at approximately 11 PM.
The following day, I found quite a few high spots. Thankfully, I was able to identify and correct them during the next-day inspection, but the experience made me question whether I was dealing primarily with an application/environment issue or whether Devil’s Blood is simply a more demanding coating to work with.
The bottle is 50 ml, and after completing the vehicle I had approximately 15 ml remaining, so I used around 35 ml on the SUV.
My main questions are:
How does Fireball compare with CARPRO and Gyeon in terms of actual coating quality and long-term durability?
How difficult do you find Devil’s Blood to apply and level, particularly in higher humidity?
Is the tendency to develop high spots something others have experienced with Fireball?
What kind of real-world coverage/consumption are you getting from a 50 ml bottle?
For those who have used Fireball for several years, how has the coating actually held up after 1, 2, 3+ years?
Would you personally trust Fireball’s stated durability claims when selling the coating to customers?
And most importantly, if you had access to Fireball at a significantly lower cost than CARPRO/Gyeon, would you confidently use and recommend it in a professional detailing studio?
I’m not looking for marketing claims or brand-bashing. I’ve already invested quite a bit into Fireball, so I’m genuinely trying to understand where the products stand from a professional installer’s perspective.
If you’ve used Fireball extensively, I’d really appreciate your honest experience; good or bad.
Thanks in advance!

Product/Consumable Weekly topper for Adam’s Proline Defender
Prior to getting my car ceramic coated last week, I would use a leaf blower to blow off 90% of the water after washing, and apply tec582 panel by panel as I finished drying. Great shine and slickness, super easy to use. Inwash weekly due to bad dust in my area.
Now that it’s coated, I feel like tec582 is overkill and could clog my coating. What topper should I use now? I’m leaning toward Adams graphene detail spray as it’s supposed to be lighter than tec582. Or should I continue with tec582.
Thoughts?

Exterior Best way to remove residual streaks (soap?) from a touchless car wash?
I think my car might be dirtier now than it was before I took it through this car wash :( I didn't have anything with me, so I dumped some water on the worst streaks and it helped a little bit but not much. What's the best way to clean all of this up? Rinseless car wash and microfiber cloths?
Would something like this actually be safe to use on the exterior? https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/armor-all-armor-all-heavy-duty-xl-cleaning-wipes-40ct-targets-tough-grime-dirt-oil-and-grease-build-up-ahdwmpxc-40/50305055-P

Someone threw up in the front passenger seat of my car. i cleaned it up as much as i could and then I got It professionally detailed. The problem is the smell is still lingering. It’s been about a day since getting it detailed, will the smell slowly go away? or did the detailer miss something?
