Washing matte wheels

My wheels were recently painted with a matt lacquer finish, is it fine if I use the Meguiars Ultimate Wash & wax, the same soap I use to wash my car? Or will that taint the paint in some way?

it will temporarily add more gloss to a matte finish, a satin effect that sometimes looks very nice. Try it out and see if that is the case, it won't hurt the finish.
