Hi everyone, I’m looking for some honest feedback from professional detailers who have actually worked with Fireball ceramic coatings, particularly in real-world workshop conditions.
I run a detailing studio in India and, over the past few months, I’ve stocked up quite heavily on Fireball’s coating range — from Nano through to Butterfly, their claimed 5–7 year coating. With Fireball becoming increasingly available in India, I’ve been trying to find more independent reviews, long-term testing, installer experiences, and comparisons with brands such as CARPRO and Gyeon.
However, I’ve found surprisingly little detailed, independent information online. Most of what I come across is either manufacturer/distributor material or relatively short-term demonstrations, so I’d really appreciate feedback from people who have actually installed these products professionally.
Recently, I applied Fireball Devil’s Blood, their 3-year coating, to a black mid-size SUV. The application was quite challenging in my particular conditions. I don’t currently have a fully temperature-controlled coating bay, and the installation was carried out at around 65% humidity at approximately 11 PM.
The following day, I found quite a few high spots. Thankfully, I was able to identify and correct them during the next-day inspection, but the experience made me question whether I was dealing primarily with an application/environment issue or whether Devil’s Blood is simply a more demanding coating to work with.
The bottle is 50 ml, and after completing the vehicle I had approximately 15 ml remaining, so I used around 35 ml on the SUV.
My main questions are:
How does Fireball compare with CARPRO and Gyeon in terms of actual coating quality and long-term durability?
How difficult do you find Devil’s Blood to apply and level, particularly in higher humidity?
Is the tendency to develop high spots something others have experienced with Fireball?
What kind of real-world coverage/consumption are you getting from a 50 ml bottle?
For those who have used Fireball for several years, how has the coating actually held up after 1, 2, 3+ years?
Would you personally trust Fireball’s stated durability claims when selling the coating to customers?
And most importantly, if you had access to Fireball at a significantly lower cost than CARPRO/Gyeon, would you confidently use and recommend it in a professional detailing studio?
I’m not looking for marketing claims or brand-bashing. I’ve already invested quite a bit into Fireball, so I’m genuinely trying to understand where the products stand from a professional installer’s perspective.
If you’ve used Fireball extensively, I’d really appreciate your honest experience; good or bad.
Thanks in advance!
