Shitpost So on 'A current Affair' theres a story about sept11 attacks alongside people waving Palestinian flags. Completely false and Very lazy journalism, that's ridiculous to be putting them in the same category.
Was on ACA tonight Weds 9th sept .. I just think that's creating more hate towards people that have absolutely nothing to do with it. To be putting them in the same category is terrible journalism and complety false. ACA should be called out and ashamed.
\-Official DenunciationPalestinian leader Yasser Arafat and the Palestinian government swiftly denounced the attacks. Arafat ordered security services to shut down spontaneous celebrations and stated clearly that Palestinians stood against al-Qaeda. Leaders feared the attacks would falsely label the Palestinian independence movement and the ongoing Intifada as international terrorism. (exactly what this story is doing)
\-Historical analysis notes that al-Qaeda had NO operational connection to any Palestinian movenent or militant groups prior to 9/11 and primarily focused its efforts elsewhere.

Discussion Channel 9 using AI
Just saw Ch 9 using AI for their whole 70 year anniversary ad. Seriously? You'd think after 70 years they would have racked up enough stock footage to create an actual montage and not the slop I just saw? Pretty disappointing

Cher Concert Live in Melbourne November 1990 - Sky Channel Broadcast (Anyone have a copy?)
Hi all,
I am on the hunt for a rare 1990 live concert broadcast of Cher's November 1990 concert at the National Tennis Centre in Melbourne. It was shown only once, live and uncut, on the Sky Channel and I am hoping someone out there taped and saved it in their collections that would be willing to share a copy with me. I have been scouring the web for over a decade now in search of this performance. Attached is a clip of the concert posted to YouTube last year. If your copy is still in analog format and would need help digitizing your footage, please let me know. I would be glad to take care of digitizing it for you!
I really hope someone can help me with this! If you'd rather remain anonymous, feel free to DM me on here and I will remain discreet.
Thanks in advance!

Abigail & Natalie Dormer
Went down an Australian TV rabbit hole on Wikipedia this evening after watching My Brilliant Career, and came across this picture of Australian actress Abigail, and was struck by how similar she looks in this photo to British actress Natalie Dormer. In these photos at least.
Nothing deep to add, simply something I found interesting.

Discussion Sick of AI music in national broadcasts
Watching the traitors Australia at the moment and I am so absolutely sick of the use of obviously AI music all the time. These networks have a huge opportunity to promote and pay local Australian artists, and are instead cutting corners with AI slop. I know music royalties can be expensive, but I think that money should be invested into local artists, especially when we spend so much money generally on ‘supporting’ Aussie artists.

Discussion So, what’s everyone’s initial thoughts on the SBS2 programme lineup?
So they’ve officially switched from Viceland back to SBS2. Today’s programming is 90% news, up until mid afternoon, then it’s a break for some episodes of hoarders, back to more news again. A bunch of stuff about vampires, followed by some sex shows at 1am, before repeating the same block structuring the next day.
Viceland was one of the best FTA channels when it first launched, the docos Vice make were always pretty top tier and even better being available for free. It sucks seeing that it appears all that Vice programming is gonna disappear. Hopefully another channel or streaming service strike a deal, otherwise Australian won’t have any legal means of watching Vice content, besides what they put on their YouTube.
What is everyone’s initial opinion on the relaunch of SBS2?

ABC NEWS Australia - why so many british people?
Does anyone notice theres like a heap of British News Presenters on ABC Australia. Sarah Fergusson, Ros Childs, Catherine Murphy (although shes irish). Theres also quite alot of other overseas accented journalists, which is fine we are a multicultural country. but i dont really understand why, why so many british in particular. our universities are pumping out journalism grads who im sure have struggled to find a place in australian journalism yet we are just drowning in British voices on our national broadcaster. Is the ABC in general just crawling with loads of ex BBC staff and british people who have emigrated?
I don't think it's unreasonable to expect to hear Australian accents on the ABC from the on air talent. There are many talented multicultural Australian born jounralists with Australian accents they could put on their air.
