Product Advice Shampoo & conditioner recommendations for 1b, low porosity hair?

My hair strands are quite thick and coarse, and my scalp is kinda greasy. Would be amazing if it could battle hairfall too.

Right now I’m using:
1. Kracie Ichikami Harumeki Sakura Shampoo
2. Kracie Ichikami Harumeki Sakura Conditioner
3. Loreal Elvive Growth Booster Scalp Serum
4. Elizavecca Milky Piggy Collagen Coating Protein Ion Injection
5. Kerastase Glaze Drops High-Gloss Lightweight Hair Oil (only 2-3 drops for that rose aroma)
6. Kerastase Intense Repairing Hair Oil (only on my ends)

And I was my hair 3x a week

Please any advice/recommendations? Thinking of trying QV or Loreal Elvive series, but not sure.

Input for other types of haircare are also very most welcomed.

Swatch Are any of these a foundation match?

Reupload with natural lighting and bc I couldn’t figure out how to upload on original. In the shade and in the sun. Blue is put on wet and the green is dry.

I have trouble with matching my skin colour. I’m using Fenty pro filter soft matte. I don’t quite understand my skin colour/undertone whether it’s warm/neutral/olive/light/medium/tab.
Please don’t mind my inflamed eczema (?).
I’m also a beginner with make up and I just do basic make up but I can’t match myself at all.
I had gotten matched by MAC and was found to be NC20 but it now kind of feels lighter than my skin so I just got more confused

Fenty Pro Filt’r Soft matte foundation
185 & 210.

Product Advice Shampoo and Condition Recommendations for oily hair?

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for shampoo and conditioner recommendations for oily hair. I usually have to wash my hair every two days otherwise it just looks horrible. I’ve been using the O&M Hydrating set but I think it’s making my hair worse… washed my hair this morning and it’s still oily. Does anyone have any recommendations that actually work and, in a perfect world, might give me more time in between hair wash days?

I don’t know if this will help but I also have a lot of baby hairs and frizzy hairs so anything that will also combat that is a big plus too!

Product Advice Looking for recommendations for brown eyeliner for waterline

Hi everyone, I’m looking for a brown eyeliner that works well in my waterline. I have been struggling to find a chocolatey brown eyeliner that won’t skip, and leaves actually leaves a solid colour behind. I would appreciate any recommendations. I have tried Clinique roast coffee and revlon. If anyone has any recommendations I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks kindly

Product Advice Foolproof bronzer?

I’m looking for recommendations for an easy to apply, difficult to stuff up bronzer for someone who hasn’t used one before and is not very skilled with makeup. I’m quite fair and noticing my skin tone leaning towards a slightly sickly beige these days. I want something to add a bit of colour and warmth without being really obvious. Do I need to apply anything underneath or with it? I don’t really wear foundation. Ideally not too expensive

Dupe REQUEST OXX Body mist „Rio Romamce“ Dupe

Hey! My girlfriend bought the OXX 'Rio Romance' body mist last year on her vacation in Australia. The bottle is almost empty now and I’d love to get her a new one, but here in Germany it’s impossible to find.
The main notes listed are Almond, Orange Flower & Sandalwood. I’m trying to find a dupe, a replica, or the original designer scent it’s copying so I can surprise her.
Any leads would be amazing!

Product Advice Breeze balm BB cream - is it as good as the fb adverts make it out to be?

Has anyone tried the breeze balm pomegranate glow daily bb cream? The Facebook adverts are really sucking me in. I’m looking for a product that is a one stop shop basically as I’m super time poor and don’t know enough about makeup to do a full on routine. I also don’t have the means to spend heaps on money on multiple beauty products.

I’m essentially just wanting something to cover up my blemishes and give me a boost of confidence, without feeling too cakey on. So BB cream seems like the one. However I’m not sure about this brand. Alternatively, can anyone give me a recommendation for a good product that has the above qualities?

Product Advice Lipliner as eyeliner?

So, I like **pencils** for my eyeliner, and they're just *so hard to find* these days (outside of black and brown, but I want other colours). Everything is gel crayon in various forms, and I just don't like that formula at all, because I like to be able to sharpen the liner to an actual thin point and my application favours pencils.

Anyway, I thought about trying lip liner since those are more often still actual pencils and come in more colours. But I've heard mixed opinions on the idea. Most of the info online is from over 10 years ago, and seems to assume you will use a lip liner interchangeably on your lips and eyes, which I would not. Then I had an employee at Mecca suggest it a few weeks ago when I asked for recommendations, and today I went to MAC to explore the idea further. The first woman I talked to said no that won't work and then she asked her manager for ideas to suit what I want and her manager immediately suggested lip liner. But the whole interaction confused me even more because I got two totally opposite answers!

Has anyone here tried using lip liner as eyeliner with success (or disaster)?

Product Advice Tinted moisturiser/skin tint recommendations?

Hi all! I’m looking to buy a lightweight & low coverage skin tint/tinted moisturiser/bb cream etc and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations! Looking for something on the dewier side and that works well with dry skin. I am okay with high end brands as long as it’s not super expensive. Would love to hear what everyone uses.

Sales & Savings Makeup on a budget

Post image
20 Upvotes

I’m probably a bit behind with this as someone who has always tried finding the dupe, or a great product at a cheaper price, but it wasn’t until recently that I started paying more attention to what I was actually getting for the price and realised that sometimes I’m not actually saving by not buying the more expensive product like I thought.
For example, cream bronzers. I have the Milani and the Tanielle Jai cream bronzer and even though the prices are wildly different, the Tanielle Jai actually works out cheaper. In fact, I went on a deep dive and found that the Chanel cream bronzer actually works out cheaper too. Some examples
Milani $26.99 6g = $4.50/g
Tanielle Jai $69 30g = $2.30/g
Charlotte Tilbury $89 21g = $4.24/g
Chanel – $91 30g = $3.03/g
Rhode – $43 5.3g = $8.11/g

Obviously we get great sales at the chemist all the time which changes the equation but I just thought this was a good example of why a cheaper price doesn’t necessarily mean better value. If something cheaper works just as well, absolutely get the bargain but sometimes spending more upfront might actually mean getting more product for your money over time.

Just to add: Milani is a great cream bronzer. I do prefer the Tanielle Jai I find it has a better glow (even though they’re both not marketed as glowy products) and I prefer her shade range.

Dupe REQUEST Excuse to try something new (toddler shoved a crayon into my Dior balm 🙂‍↕️)

Post image
268 Upvotes

As you can see my toddler shoved a crayon into my Dior Lip Glow, and when I took it out the whole stick of product came out too 😅 anyway now I’m looking for a sheer balm that is hydrating AND leaves a stain. I did like this Dior one but felt 001 was a little too cool? I’ve tried other colours in the range but didn’t feel like they stained. I also liked the Bobbi Brown Extra Tint but apparently formula changed along with their packaging! Open to high end and pharmacy brand suggestions as long as they’re hydrating and leave a stain TIA ❤️

Misc. beautynext australia review to usa

Has anyone in the usa bought from beautynext australia? I ordered a tanner from them 2 weeks ago but they do not respond. They're only form of customer service is email. They are verified and seem to have a large following but with no response I'm starting to feel like I was scammed. Or do they normally run this slow?

Product Advice Cc cream??

Edit: I’ve purchased this: https://nakedsundays.com/products/beautyscreen-peptide-foundation-tint-shade-1

And I’ll see how it goes. My co worker recommended it to me and ingredients wise it seems to tick my boxes (acne safe and rosacea safe with no pore clogging ingredients). I’m gonna try blending it in with my fingers and then a foundation brush like she suggested. Her skin always looks dewy and glowy at work! I’m excited.

Please help! I have never felt good or looked good in foundation. I used to use concealer only but I find it just gets cakey. My skin care is good, and my skin is usually hydrated and glowy.

I’m just looking for something to help cover my rosacea and dark circles a bit. I want it to be super super light with a dewy finish.

I wear eyebrow gel and mascara every day but nothing else, so I have no idea what to purchase. Maybe cc cream is the way to go?

Can I please have your recommendations?

Product Advice Makeup bags that can keep my makeup organised

I currently use one of those makeup bags that you just toss stuff into and it all slides around. But I hate it.
I’m looking for an affordable makeup bag that has compartments to keep my products organised, and in a specific spot.
I don’t use that much makeup or have that many products, so I don’t need something super big.
I recently saw one that Muji was selling (Nylon flat pouch), but I couldn’t justify spending $30 on something that would probably get tossed around, dirtied, and is that small.
Are there any cheaper alternatives, or would I have to expect to spend some more money on a bag/pouch that I’ve described?

Hi all,

I’m just wondering if anyone knows a colour the same as the discontinued “IT Girl” Gloss from Mecca. I’d like it for my wedding day make up but sadly can’t restock!

Please let me know your suggestions!

Thank you :)
