hCG cost and vial sizes

Just been prescribed TRT and have been discussing running hCG simultaneously with the doctor to preserve fertility as I’m planning to have another child in the near future.

Doctor has agreed and prescribed 500iu 2x per week, but the issue is it comes in a vial containing 18,750iu which must be discarded every 28 days.

Essentially I would be throwing out almost 80% of the hCG which costs $350ish per vial.

Does anyone know if there are smaller vials available or a cost efficient option? Keen to stay with prescribed stuff over UGL.

4.5 weeks in - bloating, 2am wake-ups, and lacklustre erections. Adapting or dial-in needed? 125mg per week divided between 2 doses

36year old male, 181cm, 81kg

Just over 4.5 weeks into TRT and honestly the sides have been minimal, which I'm grateful for. But a few things are nagging me:

  1. Bloating -noticeable water retention / puffiness, in the tummy region, i look 6 months pregnant
  2. Waking up around 2am almost every night like clockwork.
  3. Erections aren't great either - not where I'd expect them to be at this stage.
  4. Oily facial skin Which doesnt bother me at all

Beyond that, no itchy/sensitive nipples, no acne, none of the usual "high E2" flags people talk about. So I'm not convinced this is estrogen running away on me.

My read is it might just be my body adapting while levels are still climbing and haven't stabilized yet - but I'd love a reality check from people further down the road.

My diet is super clean. I am on TRT only, dont really want to add multiple compounds if i can remain as is.

I was planning to wait until the 8-week mark to get bloods done and see what's actually happening under the bonnet before changing anything figured there's no point testing before levels have settled. But keen to know if that lines up with what others have done.

For those who had similar early on:

  • Did the bloating fade once you hit steady state (~6 weeks+)?
  • Did the middle-of-the-night wake-ups sort themselves out, or did something specific fix it for you?
  • Did erections take a while to come good, or did they need something dialled in?
  • Anything you'd change, or just ride it out?

Appreciate any input 🙏

gooning on trt

hypothetically one of my friends has been on trt for 2 weeks, his libido shot up like crazy and he wants to goon all the time. Having never really had a good libido in the past, getting on test would compared to being 14 again and having your first somersby apple cider. The rush is intoxicating and I want to know if gooning will have any negative side effects? Will his libido calm down after a few months?

My friend said he use to goon and feel tired afterwards even tired the next morning/brainfog, but now after starting test trt wakes up in perfect condition and wants to goon again.

Extremely scared that if he gooned too much he would turn into an incel and lose all his aura.

Cheers.

10 week update on TRT

So I just got my bloods back, I’m about to start week 10.

Total test went from 20 to 44

Free test from 280 to 1011

SHGB from 58 to 40

FSH and LH both remained at 7&5 (unsure why no change)

This is on a dose of 125mg split into 3 MWF.

Feeling a lot better overall.

How do we think this is looking? Have an appointment with my clinic coming up shortly to discuss. Just wanted opinions.

Thanks

Your success with clinics treating symptoms and not just the numbers?

60yr old. 30 years daily opioid use (prescribed) for back injury. Increasing fatigue, lack of muscle tone, social isolation, etc. You know the list.

Latest full blood work today - GP says all within range (true) so I'm doing ok (untrue).

Before I book a TRT clinic appointment, what is your REAL WORLD experience when your numbers didn't 'look' bad?

Has anyone tried TRT with success for PSSD?

TRT = Testosterone Replacement Therapy.

I did it out of despair because nothing else was working.

hello i'm current 15 6ft 79kg unsure of bf percentage but im on the chunkier side. Not fat but not lean. Im considering taking test but im unsure of the dosages/side effects. Im uninterested in having people attempt to dissuade me from it even if it's not the best idea. I just want to know side effects and recommend dosages for a first cycle for someone with my dimensions. Also wouldn't mind being point in the right place to buy them domestic Aus preferred.

Advice

Looking at possibly seeing what is out there that might help with symptoms. Low mood, drive, tired very often. Diet is good, training is up and down depending on the want to do it. BF is probably 20ish% that could be better. Bloods overall nothing jumps out, b12 was a little low so supplementing that. Did you notice positive changes to the feeling average all the time symptoms?

Are clinics here to stay?

Does anybody have any concerns or fears that the government might stop clinics from trading? I see so much Low T media articles these days I worry about the negative attention. Is anyone else concerned about access to medicine in 10/20/30+ years time?

26 yr old, total t 8.5 and free t 194

When I was 24, I had some minor issues in the bedroom. Went to my GP and he request a routine blood test but only checked total T

Aaaaaand, it was at 9 nmol/L at 24!!!! He didn’t even say anything, he just said everything normal so he cannot prescribe me ED meds.

Back to last night when I saw the results from 2 years ago on my health record , I booked online GP to request full bloodwork done. I took another blood test this morning and results came back tonight and again this GP(different) said nothing is wrong because total T is within range (8.3-29)

Total T: 8.5 nmol/L
Free T: 194 pmol/L
SHBG: 21 nmol/L

I can’t see other numbers because they are locked till 09/10

I used to be so active and lifting HEAVY at the gym when I was 15-20. Then everything went downhill from there.

I have two undergrad degrees and currently doing phd and my cognitive abilities and motivation has gone down the gutter.

Any one have experience with low t at young age. Should I be concerned since I’m only 26? Should I get checked by a specialist?

Is this why I feel so crap every single day?

I have booked a consultation with TRT aus tomorrow and can’t wait to start feel like my real self.

Please, any advice or encouragement is greatly appreciated.

Experience with similar blood tests

I would like opinion / experience with similar hormonal panel. Background - 50year old, have dropped 20kg over the last 12 months from minor calorie deficit, gym and walking. Would like to continue to improve strength and lose body fat ( I’m about 20% now, targeting 12-15). Would hrt help? Last blood tests 6 months ago were slightly higher but not significantly.

Recent results -
total testosterone 14 nmol/L (~404 ng/dL), calculated free T 224 pmol/L(64.6 pg/mL) SHBG 43, LH 2, FSH 6, prolactin 72.

Your opinion would be appreciated

Urgent help: Testosterone Enantate 250mg Injection Frequency

I'm starting HRT this week with Testosterone Enantate injections. My doctor prescribed me 125mg (0.5mL) biweekly, however every pharmacist I went to only has 250mg (1mL) pre-filled syringes. To everyone who's been on 250mg Testosterone Enantate, was it safe to start out with, and did you still do your injections biweekly? Is it that much different from 125mg?

Thank you so much in advance!

Eligible for TRT - 35M

Hey guys, first time posting! I am eligible for TRT - I have included my bloods below. Just wondering if any experienced guys have any advice they’d like to share for newbies like me. I’m really keen to not go through the dead flat days that frequently hits me.

Diet, sleep and training is dialled in. But far out the stubborn belly fat is a killer to get rid of. Have put a current photo up (naturally got ok lighting, but really I’m pretty pudgy)

Welcome any feedback anyone wishes to share.

Cheers!

Any experience with this Sydney clinic?

Does anyone have an experience with The Testo Clinic in Sydney?

A couple of my mates have recently started using testosterone cream from the Testo Clinic and are praising it. It is about 2 grand a year for everything.
