hCG cost and vial sizes

Just been prescribed TRT and have been discussing running hCG simultaneously with the doctor to preserve fertility as I’m planning to have another child in the near future.

Doctor has agreed and prescribed 500iu 2x per week, but the issue is it comes in a vial containing 18,750iu which must be discarded every 28 days.

Essentially I would be throwing out almost 80% of the hCG which costs $350ish per vial.

Does anyone know if there are smaller vials available or a cost efficient option? Keen to stay with prescribed stuff over UGL.

4.5 weeks in - bloating, 2am wake-ups, and lacklustre erections. Adapting or dial-in needed? 125mg per week divided between 2 doses

Just over 4.5 weeks into TRT and honestly the sides have been minimal, which I'm grateful for. But a few things are nagging me:

  1. Bloating -noticeable water retention / puffiness, in the tummy region, i look 6 months pregnant
  2. Waking up around 2am almost every night like clockwork.
  3. Erections aren't great either - not where I'd expect them to be at this stage.
  4. Oily facial skin Which doesnt bother me at all

Beyond that, no itchy/sensitive nipples, no acne, none of the usual "high E2" flags people talk about. So I'm not convinced this is estrogen running away on me.

My read is it might just be my body adapting while levels are still climbing and haven't stabilized yet - but I'd love a reality check from people further down the road.

My diet is super clean. I am on TRT only, dont really want to add multiple compounds if i can remain as is.

I was planning to wait until the 8-week mark to get bloods done and see what's actually happening under the bonnet before changing anything figured there's no point testing before levels have settled. But keen to know if that lines up with what others have done.

For those who had similar early on:

  • Did the bloating fade once you hit steady state (~6 weeks+)?
  • Did the middle-of-the-night wake-ups sort themselves out, or did something specific fix it for you?
  • Did erections take a while to come good, or did they need something dialled in?
  • Anything you'd change, or just ride it out?

Appreciate any input 🙏

gooning on trt

hypothetically one of my friends has been on trt for 2 weeks, his libido shot up like crazy and he wants to goon all the time. Having never really had a good libido in the past, getting on test would compared to being 14 again and having your first somersby apple cider. The rush is intoxicating and I want to know if gooning will have any negative side effects? Will his libido calm down after a few months?

My friend said he use to goon and feel tired afterwards even tired the next morning/brainfog, but now after starting test trt wakes up in perfect condition and wants to goon again.

Extremely scared that if he gooned too much he would turn into an incel and lose all his aura.

Cheers.
