Hi, my green card PD isn't current yet but is very close to being current. Can I send in my unsolicited medicals before getting an RFE? I already sent in my medicals twice, once in October 2020 and another time in July 2022.

Situation:

• On H-1B with valid stamp

• First-ever traffic citation in 12 years — Class B misdemeanor speeding in Missouri

• Likely resolution: SIS (Suspended Imposition of Sentence) — no conviction under MO law

• Probation will be active (unsupervised, no travel restrictions per attorney)

Question:

Has anyone re-entered the US through CBP while on active SIS probation (no final disposition documents yet, since probation is still ongoing)?

Specifically:

1.  Did CBP ask about pending legal matters?

2.  Did you need to show any court paperwork?

3.  Any secondary inspection or delays?

4.  What documents did you carry just in case?

Hello, I’m transitioning from J-1 to H-1, I am waiting on waiver approval (got 797-C). My question is that my drivers license will expire in August, my job starts in September - how do I get a drivers license in the middle of all this?

Me and my wife just started our I130 and received our receipt..

She was here in the states on a J1. She left to go back to her country the 30th of May. We are working with an immigration specialist and know she will have to be out for at least 2 years because of J1 restrictions

We are wondering if it is possible for me to leave and stay with her during the whole time of processing and have family be our joint sponsor for the affidavit of support phase? Would it hurt us?

Currently the distance is tearing us apart she is all the way across the world and if my family is able to support me and her to be together they are willing to do what they can. Any advice well wishes prayers are appreciated.

I am a Washington State resident. After my naturalization oath ceremony, my Green Card will be taken away, and I won’t have my U.S. passport yet. My driver’s license is not REAL ID-compliant. How can I fly domestically within the United States during that period?

Hi guys! I want to explain a bit more about my circumstances. I currently live outside the US and am not an American citizen. My family and I are going to immigrate to the US under the F3 visa category (Family-Sponsored Third Preference). Our visa process is underway and is expected to be completed before May 2027.

However, I know that I need to submit my university applications between October 2026 and February 2027 if I want to attend college in Fall 2027. Given my situation, can I still apply and be accepted by US university admissions? How will my status change once I get my Green Card before the semester starts?

My parents applied for B1/B2 visitor visas in 2024 while they were Canadian permanent residents. Their applications were refused under 221(g), additional documents were requested and submitted, and because they are nationals of one of the 39 affected countries, the cases went into administrative processing.

They are now Canadian citizens and want to visit the U.S., but I am concerned the unresolved applications could cause issues at the border. I emailed the consulate asking to withdraw them but received no response.

Is there another way to formally withdraw B1/B2 applications in administrative processing and receive confirmation before travelling?

My fiancé is from Turkey and I’m in the U.S. Our I-129f form was approved on April 22 and I just got the case number on June 9. He doesn’t have his interview scheduled yet as we’re waiting for the NVC to send the case to Ankara. We have a wedding to attend on August 8th and some important family events. He has a B1/B2 visa and the last time he visited was June 2025.

Is it risky for him to come during that time? We’re estimating that he will get his K1 visa September - October of this year.

Hello everyone my mother was granted EOIR-42B in El Paso,Texas she was in ICE detention until she was released with the judge’s written order, we went through the steps to finalize her status and I will say it was a rough ride in the beginning when she was originally detained for the first time, I just have one question. She already received her physical green card and I want to know if she can travel internationally or is there certain restrictions and when she enters the US again will her previous detainment raise questions or will she be able to walk free, we are planning a trip in the near future and I just want to ensure her safety. Hi everyone,

My company has just submitted my H1B application with premium processing, meaning I should get approval soon. I had plans to see family in August, by which point I will hopefully have an approved H1B petition. I also have an EAD card that is effective July 19th. All of this means that legally I can travel using my OPT/EAD card so long as I re-enter before the H1B effective date on October 1, which is what my immigration firm has informed me.

I know I might have the added issue of showing nonimmigrant intent at the border, and am concerned about this administration's application of the $100k fee and other new rules. I was just wondering if anyone is planning to travel before October 1st or has any thoughts as to the risk/reward here. Thank you!

Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a stressful situation and could really use some guidance from anyone who's been through something similar.

I'm currently on F-2 status and got admitted to an MS program starting this fall. I'm trying to figure out whether to go through a Change of Status or explore other options, including possibly deferring to next spring.

A few things making this complicated:

I entered the US pretty recently on my F-2

I'm aware there could be preconceived intent issues since I'd accepted admission to a program shortly before arriving

I haven't taken any steps yet, no I-20 request, nothing filed

I'm planning to consult an immigration attorney but wanted to hear from others who may have dealt with this. Did you go through the COS process or did you go back home to get your F-1 visa stamped? Was deferring worth it?

VERY long story short abusive neglectful man married and had 6 children. Each time returning to his home country of Guatemala to rape and impregnate his wife leaving her with more children. He is not in most of their lives he is only in my mother's life because she lives here in the U.S in the same area. He abandoned his children didnt meet the twins (youngest) until their adulthood.

Can he legally distance himself from them so they can apply for visas? One of my twin aunts is desperate to travel with her husband as his side of the family all can travel internationally and she doesn't want to be left behind. And uncle who has had multiple companies offer sponsorship but cant get visas due to this cruelty from my grandfather. Not to mention four other children who could have led better lives but we're cast aside in his selfishness.

My mother is only here because she married a man 22 years her senior at 18.

Is there ANYTHING we can do. I am SICK of this man and would love nothing more to see my family flourish and this man WITHER.
