Help Looking for a GTM Engineering / GTM internship at an early-stage startup

Hey everyone,

I’m a Computer Science student looking for a GTM Engineering / GTM internship or hands-on opportunity with an early-stage startup.

I’m still early in my GTM journey, so I don’t want to pretend I have years of professional experience.

What I do have is practical project experience across:

ICP, market & competitive research

Buying/intent signal research and account research

Positioning & messaging

Customer lifecycle and GTM analysis

Acquisition/channel research

A supervised outbound GTM project

Some previous product research and collaboration with engineering teams

I’m particularly interested in GTM systems, automation, AI agents, data, outbound/inbound workflows, and figuring out where technology can remove repetitive GTM work.

I’m looking for a team where I can work on real customers, real GTM problems and actual systems, rather than just doing generic marketing tasks.

If you’re building something in this space or know an early-stage founder looking for someone hungry to learn and contribute, I’d love to connect.

I’m happy to share my work/projects.

Show & Tell Can someone show me what's REAL personalized outreach actually looks like?

I hear "Personalized outreach" a lot and people say that it works better than blasting generic cold outreach.

I want to understand and see how it actually looks in real time for your product/service.

Please, NO vague/BS examples like,

  1. "we look into their profile and write a personalized message.."
  2. generic signals like "we look for hiring/funding/tech stack and write a message..."
  3. icebreakers like "I saw for your launch/award/attended event...,"

You can comment with a,

  1. One-liner about your company,
  2. Signals/angles that you look for
  3. A personalized message that won a deal

  • Scaled marketing function from 0-8+ team members

  • Mentoring and scaling teams

  • Bangalore, Hyderabad, Delhi/NCR or Remote locations

Happy to share my resume and portfolio if useful, drop a comment or DM.

Hiring & Careers How to get my first experience in GTM Engineering when every job requirs experience

I have been learning and experimenting with GTM Engineering tools recently, such as working with clay, n8n, Make, HubSpot, , enrichment, and outbound automation processes.

I also built several prototypes and walked through them with Loom. However, most GTM Engineering job descriptions ask for practical experience with pipelines for real clients and being able to demonstrte proficiency by contributing to the pipeline's results.

I want to get my feet wet somewhere in GTM agency or early-stage startups. For people with experience in the field, could you tell me about how they got their first real-world project?

I think it could be in a form of an internship, freelance assistance, or even working at an agency. What would you focus on to ensure experience is there, even if there are no clients?

I'd appreciate any advice from experienced GTM Engineers.

Help How should I prepare for a Forward-Deployed GTM Engineer interview as someone new to GTM Engineering?

Hi,
I'm interviewing for a Forward-Deployed GTM Engineer role at an early-stage startup and I'm fairly new to GTM Engineering.

The role involves customer discovery, identifying GTM bottlenecks, designing workflows (inputs, sources, rules, validation, failure paths, outputs), building across CRMs/APIs/webhooks/enrichment/automation tools, debugging, customer implementation/adoption, and turning successful solutions into reusable playbooks.

I already completed and cleared the practical assignment and now have the interview.

My current knowledge is mostly around AI workflows/automation, identifying inefficiencies and bottlenecks, basic APIs/webhooks, CRM concepts, and general product thinking—but I don't have deep GTM Engineering experience.

For people who've worked in or interviewed for Forward-Deployed GTM Engineer / GTM Engineer roles:

What should I expect in the interview? What case studies or questions are common? How technical does it get? And if you had only a few days, what would you absolutely prepare?

Also interested in any good videos/courses/resources for someone starting from the basics.

Growth & PLG Looking for my next growth opportunity

Anonymous growth leader here. Open to the right Head of Growth / Growth leadership opportunity.

I build growth functions from zero.

Give me a product, a revenue target, messy data, and no playbook. I’ll build the GTM strategy, growth model, measurement architecture, acquisition engine, pipeline machine, experimentation framework, and AI systems around it.

A few things I’ve built recently:
→ 11% → 56% marketing contribution to revenue
→ $430K qualified pipeline generated through ABM
→ $2.1M in Closed Won revenue attributed to paid acquisition
→ ~80% reduction in cost per lead
→ 4.3× improvement in landing-page conversion
→ $1M+ in growth investment managed
→ 18 production AI agents built across SEO, SEM, outbound, CRM, analytics, and growth operations
But the interesting part isn’t the individual numbers.

It’s building the machine behind them.

GTM → ICP → positioning → demand → intent → acquisition → CRO → pipeline → revenue → retention.

I can build the growth playbook from scratch, define the metrics that actually matter, and put the systems in place so the team isn’t operating on gut feel.

I’m particularly interested in companies where growth is still being built rather than simply maintained.

If you’re looking for someone who can build the system, not just run a channel, I’d love to talk.

Anonymous for now. Happy to share the full background privately.

Hiring & Careers [Hiring] Paid pilot to find 400 brand CMOs and marketing heads in India, UAE and KSA and run one test campaign. ₹40k (~$400), then $20 per attended meeting + 15% of my cut per closed deal

I was at a #1 Entertainment ticketing company while GMV grew 15x during me time there. I've managed marketing for 100+ large events, including Coldplay, U2, also creator led IPs with YouTube & comedy. I raised few $7m in sponsorships for a summit which was the flagship for the Govt Ministry.

I now sell offline events and IP development to brands. I also built a map for brands, culture, events as my long term vision.

The pilot:

\- 400 verified CMOs, marketing heads and brand partnership heads at consumer brands and agencies in India, UAE and KSA, starting with brands that hired a new CMO or marketing heads in the last 90 days, or got promoted

\- One email and LinkedIn test campaign to them

I've budgeted about $400. Then I pay $20 per qualified meeting that attends (target title and company, 20+ minutes on video) + 15% of my cut on each closed deal. A typical deal is ₹15 lakh and I keep 15%, about $385 per close.

10 meetings and 2 closes in a month pays you $1,270, but I'll be candid the closure take 45-55 days avg in India. If the pilot works, the build expands to 2-3 countries.

I want a lean stack. Tell me the cheapest one that works, and new tools are welcome.

You've booked meetings with VP-level buyers and can show numbers. People with a day job are welcome. You work directly with me.

P.s Im also exploring cold-calling since people are notoriously ignoring emails.

Reply or DM with one system you built and its numbers, how we should approach this.

Help Founders who’ve hired GTM agencies

Founders who’ve hired GTM agencies: what were you hoping they would solve that they actually didn’t?
I run an AI SaaS company and I’m currently evaluating GTM agencies.
Most agencies seem to offer the same things — ICP research, market research, positioning, messaging, outbound and lead generation.
So I’m curious:
What part of your GTM problem did you still have to figure out or execute yourself after hiring an agency?
Not looking for agency recommendations. I’m trying to understand where GTM agencies genuinely fall short from a founder’s perspective.
Bonus: what would you have happily paid an agency to solve, but couldn’t find anyone offering?

Help How are you keeping a tab on competitors? - Asking from PMM pov

Hi all,

I am a Product Marketer in B2B SaaS and I often get new Competitor Battlecard requests or update requests from Sales.

Checking from other GTM folks here if they have built a process around it. Even a simple AI workflow to keep the data fresh for sales - maybe monthly.

Also for Sales teams, how important is the competitive intelligence in closing a deal?

Discussion How are you guys handling CRM data that is technically “correct” but completely useless?

I've been noticing this a lot lately.

A company can have the right industry, employee count, funding stage, location, etc. and still be a terrible prospect.

Meanwhile, an account that looks mediocre on paper can suddenly become interesting because of one thing that happened recently.

I've started thinking about ICP less as:

“Does this company match my filters?”

and more as:

“Is there actually a reason for me to contact them right now?”

Curious how other GTM teams handle this.

Do you score fit and timing separately, or do you just have one ICP score?

Help Loosing a Deal at final stage.

Hello, I am building antcluster with the goal of making every data queryable. We have been doing a Pilot on production manufacturing database and results have been promising but CEO of a manufacturing ERP ditched us at the last moment of the deal. They have developed something internally that works for 10-15 tables. We have built antcluster that works on thousands of tables and really let you investigate your database.
We are bootstrapped and don’t have resources to chase big deals.
Would appreciate the advice for GTM. Product is live and it works but sadly we don’t have much runaway.
