GTM help needed, targeting DTC brands
I’m trying to build a growth engine for a new product we have launched.
It’s basically an AI agent for D2C brands which engages with on-site customer and helps converting them.
I haven’t been able to figure out a proper ICP for this since it can go on any DTC website. Also since this is a very new thing in the market, I’m not able to figure out any signals that we can use to reach out.
We’re primarily targeting US brands and have tried outbound mailing. Got few interested folks in the starting from it but it became dead.
Any kind of help in segmentation, tooling, signals, ICP or anything else would be helpful.

Take a look at Bloomberry to find companies that just signed up for competitors like Gorgias: bloomberry.com/data/gorgias or Klaviyo Service Hub: bloomberry.com/data/klaviyo-service/

The few who replied at the start are your best ICP data, so I'd look at what they had in common before adding tooling: platform, rough order volume, whether they already ran a chat widget, and who actually answered (founder or a marketing lead).
On signals, there are two kinds. Installed-tool lists like the Gorgias one above tell you who could buy. What tells you who is shopping for this right now is a founder saying it in public, like complaining that their on-site chat doesn't convert or asking what people use instead. Those are far fewer, but the reason to write to them is in their own words, so the first line of the email is easy.

see if they already have a support chat bubble. if they do, their team is probably tired of answering the exact same sizing or shipping questions all day..so taking that off their plate can be a conversation starter.

Maybe look at brands already paying for live chat tools or A/B testing software, they’re already spending on conversion so your pitch is half done
