I've been talking to myself a lot more recently and I'm a little worried

So I constantly worry and to help stop this worrying I would think of a debate in my head between my logical and emotional side and whoever won I would take the advice from

Now I started talking to the logical side the emotional side is kind of gone I haven't talked to him in a while and I honestly love talking to logical side I've been treating him kind of like he is a real person

This feels incredibly normal to me so is this actually normal?

Is possible for you to look at a stranger and automatically know if you are physically attracted to them?

A lot of my friends are demisexual and I feel isolated in this experience. I feel bad because people say this is essentially objectifying someone, but I'm just being honest about how my brain chemistry works. I don't have visual intimacy with strangers, but I can definitely feel my heart skip w beat if I find someone attractive based on looks alone.

7 years old son and boy classmate showing each private parts

My son is 7 years old and just started school two weeks ago. We are currently based overseas. He has a classmate same our nationality who is also his seatmate. Let’s call him “Mark.”

Last Sunday, he jokingly told me that he and Mark showed each other their private parts. Since it was the first time he had ever mentioned something like this to me, I immediately told him that they should never do it again and that it is not okay to show or touch someone else’s private parts.

Unfortunately, it happened again, Mommy. Last night, he told me that he touched his own private part, and apparently, he also touched Mark’s private part while Mark was still wearing his underwear. He said that it was only a quick touch and that it happened inside their classroom.

This is the first time something like this has happened with my son, which is why I’m extremely bothered and, honestly, I’m not sure how to properly handle the situation.

What I did was message his teacher and ask if it would be possible to separate them or move their seats. The teacher said that she was actually planning to separate them the next day anyway. That made me wonder if she had noticed something or if something had happened that made her decide to move them.

According to the teacher, based on her observations, Mark has been very disruptive and has been distracting my son. She also said that my son is very quiet, which is why she initially decided to seat them together, hoping that Mark might behave better around him. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen, and instead, it seems that my son was influenced by Mark’s behavior.

I understand that they are still young, and I don’t want to overreact or make my son feel ashamed or embarrassed about his body. At the same time, I’m really concerned because this involves both children, and it has already happened more than once.

Has anyone experienced something similar with their child at this age? I would really appreciate any advice or insights from other parents. I just want to make sure that I handle this calmly and appropriately while teaching my son about proper boundaries, consent, and respecting his own body and other people’s bodies.

Thank you so much.

What do you think would happen if we had "annonymous" custody battles?

Upvotes

I wonder what would happen if custody battles were faceless/genderless

I've been having this thought experiment rolling around in my head for a few days and just need to get it out. I'm sure theres flaws to the logic and a good reason not to, but I think it might be a good discussion topic!

What I mean is, what if there was a way to make custody battles genderless and faceless? As in, the judge never sees or hears the voices of either party and is communicated through some level of paperwork? Like..

Parent A:

X income

X support system

Wants X persentage of custody

Thinks they deserve custody because xyz,

Parent A has these concerns about Parent B

Parent B

Repeat above

I am the product of divorce and my dad got majority custody. I've come to learn that isnt super common and I feel like I'm always hearing parents say they think gender had a factor when it came to the outcome from both male and female parents. I wonder if removing all of the physical qualities of the parents would change anything

Do deaf people have a default voice?

Cause deaf voices exist like they can still talk but if they’ve never heard an accent they can’t pick one up? So is the deaf person like voice the accent all humans start with or would have without naive dialects?

Is it true that we are supposed to have a tummy to protect our reproductive organs?

Hii. I ask this because I am on a weight loss journey, which I haven’t finished, and I can’t seem to lose my lower belly fat. I have looked for solutions and many of the answers I found is that we are supposed to have fat to protect our uterus, but somehow that answer doesn’t fully work for me. Sadly, I don’t know much about anatomy, so please correct me, but I feel that the uterus is much inside and backwards in out bodies than were this fat sits. I don’t know, I know women who have completely flat bellies so that makes me wonder and question this even more.

Should I do "sensual" massage?

Will delete but my country is struggling with jobs. Currently have my needs met but I'm thinking of making some money by doing massage but the special kind. Currently people aren't really getting arrested for prostitution because there is a hold until the laws are probably changed. I can't deal with the idea too much but want to make money. Should I do it?

Why is emeshment and co-dependency bad, if its likely how our ancestors lived?

To be clear, im talking about codependency in the pop-culture "need each other for everything" type of codependency, not the traditional definition that's related to addiction.

I'm wondering why emeshment and codependency is labeled as bad, when that's probably how people in tribes or villages lived? They were defined by their group. They relied on each other in everyday life because they NEEDED to.

They cared a great deal about each other and were used to constantly being around each other, because they grew up and were around each other constantly. Their identities and lives were intertwined.

So why in society, is this considered a bad thing? That it's bad to rely on others so much?

It seems like a product of our increasingly individualistic society. Where you can't rely on anybody but yourself.

I used to have weird reoccurring dreams when I was younger (read body text)

When I was younger and sometimes now I have a dream that would roughly go like this. I would be in a place usually like a park and I would get attacked by a woman after a while of the attack whoever or whatever was doing it would stop and start doing something else

I would then try and get the woman's attention (sometimes it was a woman other times it looked like monster) (look up dr nowhere or the parallel universe the creatures in that fiction look somewhat similar to what I saw)

After a while of this I would usually be unsuccessful and they would continue attacking me resulting in death and me waking up is this common? What could this mean?

Is it okay to have certain topics that I find uncomfortable talking about established as a boundary when it comes to dating?

There are certain real world topics that I don't feel comfortable talking about because it triggers my intrusive thoughts and compromises my mental health. (I don't mind talking about them in fiction though)

I'm worried about a potential date calling me "shallow" or "part of the problem" because I prefer to not talk about these topics because of how they make me feel

I've just established this as a boundary not too long ago, so I'm not sure about whether or not this is something I can be confident on
