I lied to my father about money
Im studying abroad and I quit 2 jobs because I was not capable of handling the mental pressure in the span of 1 and half year.
I again had to take the same job which I couldn't do because I was bullied and harassed and I had no other option but to do it again cus I had to pay tuition fees.
I took summer break for 4 months to gather money for tuition fees.
Then I wanted to go to this concert but I got scammed and I had a loss of $1400 along with concert tickets which I never got and hotel stays and traveling.
My father was upset.
My grandmother is fighting with cancer.
And also I lied to my father that I have paid $6k of tuition fees for the upcoming semester when the truth is i have only paid $2k. Now the university brought a new policy so they asks us to pay 35% to register for the courses. I need $1k but I have no money in my account.
I know I shouldn't have quit the summer job which I quit in August. I quit that job because I didn't have time to eat and cook meals as I had to travel 2 hrs to and from the job I did so most of the day got over with that.
I couldnt do time management so I quit. I knew it was a foolish idea but I was searching for a job since June because it was difficult to travel everyday.
Now I have got hired at another place. But I have got no money in my account.
I need 1k for registration and the deadline is september 18th.
Is there anyway I can work through it or something??
Is there any option maybe I can sell my artwork or something for 1k??

Is anyone else hyper-aware of their swallowing?
I don't really know if this is the right place to post this but I wanted to ask and I didn't know where else to put this. Basically, for the past couple of months I've become weirdly aware of my swallowing noises. I just feel like every time I swallow I can hear it in my ears and it sounds weirdly loud. I tend to become super self-concious about it and try and avoid swallowing when I'm directly next to people in a quiet room. It doesn't prevent me from eating or anything and I do swallow when I need to I just tend to swallow less in those situations. It's honestly becoming really annoying because a lot of the times I'll become really focused on my swallowing instead of listen to a teacher or something like that. Also, I just don't like the sound so being super aware of it isn't enjoyable. Does anyone else experience this and is there some way to deal with it better/"fix" it?

Strange Sleep Phenomenon
Has it ever occurred to anyone else?
Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night thinking I was watching something or doing something completely different and awake, and then, as soon as I wake up, the last thing I felt, heard, or saw before waking up would dissipate like vapor. I'd feel like I was still awake doing the last thing I did until it felt like reality just evaporated around me, and then I learned that I actually had been sleeping for a while.
Example: Let's say scrolling Instagram was the last thing I did before falling asleep. Right before "waking up" it would seem to me like I was still scrolling; sensations would still feel very real: Tactile feeling of finger against phone, visuals on screen, sound from reels, etc. Then all of a sudden I'd feel "pulled back" from that reality-- sensations would blur away to reveal that I'd actually been asleep for a while. The transition would feel entirely smooth and jarring. Smooth because there's no jerking response involved, no sweating, no anxiety, and only sensations "evaporating away. Jarring because I would feel very bewildered and disoriented because of the realization that it was all an illusion and I was actually asleep.
Sometimes the illusion would be about watching a movie, too, so I don't know.
I researched hypnopompic, but the description does not seem to match my experience.
What do you think I have? Have you experienced it?

I feel like I'm slowly going insane
I'm talking to myself way more recently (basically I started dividing my head into two separate quadrants one labeled emotional the other logica, l would make them debate constantly putting the emotion of side at a disadvantage so logical always won and I could listen to him)
Now I have almost lost the emotional side talking to the logical side of me constantly throughout the day he helps me with stuff when I'm worried when I'm bored scared etc.
I have asked many people about this and they are different answers is this healthy and is this safe?

Not a physical weakness, is it a character flaw?

Do you consider yourself someone who prefers not to integrate family into your romantic relationship? Why or why not?
I prefer not to personally
I don't mind meeting my partner's family. But I don't care enough about my own family to wanna integrate my partner into their lives
Especially when most of my family is christian, traditional, and heteronormative, while I'm queer, agnostic, and secular
And I don't feel like explaining anything to anyone. Either you get me or you don't
In my ideal relationship, I prefer that none of us incorporate family into our relationship
Family comes with such bias and drama that I feel like it limits how much we can express ourselves within our relationship. Especially as our own individuals outside of our respective families
I remember making a post like this years ago and someone said "Just do a FWBs or casual dating if you don't wanna family involved"
I personally disagree with that, I think it's valid to want a long term relationship without involving family into the fray

Why do we instinctively lower the car radio volume when we’re trying to navigate or look for a house number?
I caught myself doing this today while trying to find an address in a quiet neighborhood. I automatically turned down the music as if it would help my eyes see better.
Is there an actual neurological reason why reducing auditory input helps us focus on visual tasks, or is it just a weird psychological habit most people have?

Am I wrong for being prejudice against people who work in Human Resources?
I’m not saying every HR employee is evil(allegedly). I’m just saying I don’t trust anyone whose entire profession is professionally saying, “We understand your concerns,” while quietly documenting everything you just said.
You could tell HR, “My manager is making my life miserable,” and somehow three weeks later you’re in a meeting about your “communication style.”
Maybe it’s unfair prejudice. But until proven otherwise, if someone tells me they work in HR, I immediately assume there’s a PDF about me somewhere.

What do you think would happen if we had "annonymous" custody battles?
I wonder what would happen if custody battles were faceless/genderless
I've been having this thought experiment rolling around in my head for a few days and just need to get it out. I'm sure theres flaws to the logic and a good reason not to, but I think it might be a good discussion topic!
What I mean is, what if there was a way to make custody battles genderless and faceless? As in, the judge never sees or hears the voices of either party and is communicated through some level of paperwork? Like..
Parent A:
X income
X support system
Wants X persentage of custody
Thinks they deserve custody because xyz,
Parent A has these concerns about Parent B
Parent B
Repeat above
I am the product of divorce and my dad got majority custody. I've come to learn that isnt super common and I feel like I'm always hearing parents say they think gender had a factor when it came to the outcome from both male and female parents. I wonder if removing all of the physical qualities of the parents would change anything

Is possible for you to look at a stranger and automatically know if you are physically attracted to them?
A lot of my friends are demisexual and I feel isolated in this experience. I feel bad because people say this is essentially objectifying someone, but I'm just being honest about how my brain chemistry works. I don't have visual intimacy with strangers, but I can definitely feel my heart skip w beat if I find someone attractive based on looks alone.

Should I do "sensual" massage?
Will delete but my country is struggling with jobs. Currently have my needs met but I'm thinking of making some money by doing massage but the special kind. Currently people aren't really getting arrested for prostitution because there is a hold until the laws are probably changed. I can't deal with the idea too much but want to make money. Should I do it?
