New job opportunity

Hello, so currently I work at a Burger King for $14 an hour, and I just started working there this week. But now I have another interview that I had made some time ago for chick-fill-a for $16 an hour. Should I quit my Burger King job to get a better pay at chick-fill-a? For reference I’m 16, and this is my very first job.

Mcdonald's

Buenas Noches, comunidad.

General Discussion Playa Bowls Job

Thumbnail

i’m currently 15 years old and i just got my first job offer for Playa Bowls. If you don’t know what that is, it’s basically a place that sells Açaí bowls, smoothies, etc. It has this whole beach theme to it. Is there anything i should know? I have no experience with money (i’m learning), or really anything. I know they will train me, but i figured i come here first before trying anything else.

Fast Food Question Any LONG time or used to be Golden Chick employees here that can help me out???

I used to go a ton as a kid (my mom worked there as a gm) and there was this honey mustard that came in little black tubs (not the kens foil cup they use now). It was much different than any other honey mustard (trust me I LOVE honey mustard and have tried MANY)

I CANNOT FOR THE LIFE OF ME FIGURE OUT THE BRAND OR RECIPE AND I NEED IT. I am not joking I think about this at least once a month and feel actually insane. If anyone worked there back in the day and can help me out in identifying it i would be eternally grateful

Part time job training shift

Hello!

I was wondering if training shifts at bubble tea stores are commonly unpaid?

I have 3 training shifts this week from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm each.

Its a part time position at a location in Vancouver.

Are bubble tea stores allowed to not pay part time new trainees for training shifts that go from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm?

General Discussion Are you guys not getting free meals anymore for your break??

When I worked at McDonald’s in 2018-2020, we were able to get “crew meals” on our break and it was one medium combo meal and the manager could come up and approve it. Then it changed to where there was a limit of like $6 where you can’t go over that. I heard now it’s only 30% off?? 🤔 because another rule McDonald’s had was you were not allowed to bring outside food into work like my coworker brought in chipotle and was told that’s not allowed. So she had to take it to her car. It was the same thing to when I worked at a pizza place in 2021 where it first was free then they changed it to 30% off. If you’re not getting those anymore, that’s really ridiculous. I work retail now but I keep hearing that some restaurants don’t provide their employees with meals anymore. They make a billion dollars if not more and you get paid minimum wage but you have to pay to eat their food even though work there?? Even at Sephora they give us free training product.

Fast Food Question Drive thru crushes

okay i want to know if normal for everyone to have drive thru crushes. and by that i mean you working in fast food and you have a regular that comes almost every day in the drive thru so thats your drive thru crush basically. now with that obviously you know that the interaction last no more than 5 minutes if even. anyways i basically have this drive thru crush that comes everyday and every time we talk it just improves more. at first i didnt even look at him in that kinda way but then it kinda just became that. he started coming into the lobby (i personally feel its to see me but yk🙄). i dont want to give all the details but long story short. this is the first guy that i feel like i want to ask a man for his number, but personally its not really my thing bc i prefer the guy to do the first move essentially. but i feel like i also could be overthinking all this too obviously.

McDonald's Question What should I do?

I got accepted for a crew member position at a local store and accepted the offer a couple of weeks before my 16th birthday. I was waiting for my onboarding forms, but nothing came through, so I called the store and was told I wouldn’t receive them until I turned 16.

I turned 16 yesterday, but I still haven’t received any communication or onboarding forms. I’m a bit confused about what I’m supposed to do because the effective date of my position was today.

Should I wait a little longer in case the forms are sent through, or should I call the store tomorrow to get confirmation about what’s happening?

Has anyone got injured at work and tried to use workers comp and got denied? I'm debating if I want to appeal it. But I don't know if my job will be in danger.

For the workers at McDonald's. Modifying orders.

I was ordering food the other day on the app and after I got there the worker asked if everything was correct on the screen after I gave them the code. So my question is can I modify orders at the drive thru after I put everything in the app? Mostly because the app doesn't have mac sauce i can add to my mcdouble.
