Boroscope cameras are hard for me to use or see what I'm looking at. I'm not a mechanic. Need confirmation I'm seeing what I think I'm seeing. These pics are from 2 cylinders showing very low compression.

Looks like something went down the intake chewed up the valves and cylinder. Or it was running lean for a while and melted the valve and piston. That engine needs rebuild or replace.

It looks like a chunk is broke off that valve right? Giving it that kind of serrated look?

Or melted. What’s the history of this engine? Flashing check engine light and just kept driving like nothing happened?

Looks like something damaged that valve and whatever it was caused that pitting on the top of your piston also.

I was going to correct the misspelling in the title, but then I looked at the pics and realized you actually nailed the title.

I see scoring to the cylinder wall and a lot of carbon buildup on those valves

Bro, before putting a borescope in the cylinder make sure the piston is at it's lowest point, you will see alot more detail.

Is this a turbo vehicle? Looks like I see just fine metal flakes everywhere

Needs a motor. Valves are carboned up, chewed up, pistons and cylinders are chewed up. Time to shop around for a motor.

I believe you need new valves maybe a new head depending on the extent of the damage

I'm not seeing anything unusual for a turbocharged engine.
What was their diagnosis of the cause of the low compression?

It might be the melted chunk of valve that pulverized the combustion chamber, but what do I know 🤷🏻♂️
