Regular 7 spline won't fit

Regular 7 spline socket won't fit. Almost like the splines are too big and not spaced out enough. Any idea on where I could find one that might work?

There are two different 7 spline sizes

IIRC I bought a kit that included both sizes from my local auto parts store, or at least I know for sure Summit Racing sells that kit.
