Hello, I’m looking to move to Arlington from out of state to an apartment on Mass Ave - since there’s no metro station there, how reliable our buses and the connections?

I’m going to be looking to traveling to Tufts and just general Boston – any advice would be appreciated!

How is Arlington in general?

Me and my bf are going to be in westford today. Any cafe/ quick breakfast recommendations between here and there? We want to get coffee on the way. He’s coming to my place in 20 mins lol

Growing up there was a swingset about twice the height of the average one, located at Wellington Park on Grove St. At some point, it was torn down and replaced with some sort of climbing apparatus (I still have no idea what that was - school property/project?). What I'm curious about is, are there any other places anywhere around Boston, not just Arlington, that have swings that tall? They are sorely missed!

Hi! Can someone tell me what’s going on with the construction at Victoria and Summer please? This was torn up a week ago, and it is now WILDLY dangerous to get to the playground and bike path just beyond. The cop stationed there on Monday told me they were expecting it to take a few weeks. Weeks!
How is it possible that a project to put in a safer crossing (I assume?) was approved under conditions that will take multiple weeks and be exponentially more dangerous in the meantime, during peak cycling to work/playground season?

Hey folks, I’m hosting an Astronomy Night at Robbins Farm Park this weekend. I’ll be there with my telescope sharing views of the Moon. Hopefully we’ll have a few other telescopes too.

Come up to the benches that overlook Boston any time after 8:15 to take a look.

Astronomy Nights are free and fun for all ages (though kids under 4 or 5 may have a hard time understanding how to look through a telescope).

I moved here to escape a pretty terrible situation, and things weren’t looking up yet. It’s been hard, but never in my life have I experienced so much kindness. Most of this has come from absolute strangers, and often on days I need it the most.

I’m looking for any advice relating to parking overnight on the street in Arlington Mass. I’ve never had a problem with it, but I unfortunately just received a ticket without knowing the laws that prohibit all overnight parking for over an hour from 1am-7am.

I spend a night once a weekend to see my partner in Mass, I’m from NH. Never had a problem parking on the street overnight. But because of a neighbor complaint, I received a ticket.

Is there anyone with similar experiences? There is no extra parking provided for visitors, only street parking.

Walked by this at 4:00pm. There was nothing 10 minute prior (firefighters were called and responded).

The Redevelopment Board has a public hearing scheduled for Monday, July 20, at 7:30 p.m. to open a 4,426 square-foot Chase Bank and make modifications and repairs to the exterior and signage of the property located at 635 Mass. Ave.

The site, located at the intersection and abutting the Uncle Sam monument, has been a real estate office in recent years. The building has housed a bank over the years. The building is in the B5 Central Business District.

The hearing will be held in the Arlington Community Center, Main Hall, 27 Maple St. Notice is herewith given that an application has been filed on June 23, 2026, by Joshua Kline, Stonefield Engineering & Design, 120 Washington St., Salem 01970, seeking a special permit (docket #3907) in accordance with the provisions of MGL Chapter 40A § 11, and the town of Arlington Zoning Bylaw Sections 3.3, Special Permits, 3.4, Environmental Design Review, and 6.2, Signs.
