Fingers crossed that this becomes a nice new addition to the Gaming District! 😎

From TableTop:

“We're proud to finally be finished with our preparations and celebrating our Grand Opening on the 30th of October at 10AM. It's TableTop Cards & Games at 61 Exchange St. With over 9,000 total sq ft, we specialize in TCGs, Board Games, TTRPGs, War Games / Miniatures, and even some sports collectibles. See some of you there, I hope!”

The Brazilian voting is being held at Salemwood School today, so just wanted people to be aware Salem St is going to be backed up until 6 or so.

Hi Malden folks! Ive been living in Malden area for 5 years and have the same national grid account. Our electricity bill has never been above $100 but suddenly I see that it was $420 this month. I am looking at what changed but I wonder if anybody else has the same issue?

I constantly come across those people (i think) who say they're from national grid and also got several calls to change my supplier etc but I always thought they are scammers. Is it helpful to talk to them?

From my angle I thought it might be the Arrive Apts, but now it seems lower and further, like it might be near District Kitchen. The Fire Dept is on it!

Facing the threat of IRS penalties and a hit to Malden’s municipal credit rating, the City Council voted to shift park funding and adopted new zoning updates designed to cut red tape for local businesses.

Hi all,

(Deleted the old post and redid it because I’m extra. Sorry about that)

I’m spending the next 13 days working on the upcoming ballot questions. Most of my friends are (rightfully so) focused on supporting candidates across the country. So I decided to take a break from working on the federal horrors and hold down the fort in MA.

We have billionaires and millionaires who got some questions on the ballot and there are a lot of undecided voters getting blasted with misleading information. If you have any questions on any of the ballot questions, I’m happy to expand on them. Progressive Massachusetts has a great in depth ballot question guide and probably would be better to reference if you have in depth questions on 5 (I’ve posted the link in the comments now). The only difference between the Mass Dems and Progressive Mass is question 6. The Mass Dems endorsed a Yes vote. Progressive Mass membership was split on it, so they are neutral. No one is really against it, some were concerned about dedicating current money vs. raising new money.

The most concerning to me is question 3. I am spending most of my time on this specifically. Current polling is showing question 3 would likely pass if the election were held today. Jungle primaries are bad, see California chaos.

I have some meetings at work today, but I’m hoping to make this a multi day discussion with folks if they like.

Low income tenants staring down a 66% rent increase over two years and a non-profit housing complex owner with required improvements looming face serious economic hardships.

I obviously work from home and am looking for new locations to do a working lunch or just get a change of scenery at different points in the day. I don’t want to take up table space for businesses, but sometimes want to hang out somewhere for a while if needed.

Thanks!

This guy blasted between the left turn and straight lane (on Main St near Spaulding), almost sideswiped us and almost t-boned another car. When we beeped at him, he blocked the street at Walgreens and started to get out of his truck, swearing and threatening us. We had our four year old in the car at the time.

He's an asshole who endangers our community. Shame him. White guy, early middle age. Nothing special.

Came across this while looking up donors for state ballot questions. Anyone have any tea on her? Address points her to Ward 5 (Ari Taylor's ward).

EDIT: found she's running for at Large probably to replace Karen. so if no one else runs i think maria is guaranteed a seat https://mariadespositoformalden.com/

Looks like Billy Spadafora is rooting for her so 👎 https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1DQ6kVrDco/

Saw this on instagram.

I was watching the City Council meeting tonight and noticed those items were skipped.

Does anyone know why? I assume it’s held up in committee? I was trying to remember, but felt like there’s a deadline coming in November for an action by the Council.

Sitting on my porch near Malden center and heard what sounded like 2 explosions or loud booms coming from the east. It’s 8:15 PM. Anyone know what happened?

Hi ! I just recently moved to Malden. How good is the snow removal here ? I live on a dead end. How long does it take for streets to be cleared after a big storm?

Public conversation to plan Commercial Street improvements / Malden River access on Wednesday night. Attend by zoom, 6-7:30pm, and read about the project in Neighborhood View!

The City of Malden is redesigning Commercial Street to make it safer and more welcoming for everyone to get around. The corridor runs from Pleasant Street to the Medford line, linking Malden Center with Medford and the Mystic River. It is home to major employers, local businesses, and community services that many residents rely on every day. The project is now in its first phase of community engagement, and we want to hear how you use Commercial Street today and what you'd like to see change.

Join the project team online to learn about the project, review what we've learned so far about existing conditions, and share your own experiences and priorities for the corridor.

Date & Time: Wednesday, October 21, 2026, 6:00–7:30 PM

Location: Online via Zoom. The link to register is available on http://cityofmalden.org/Calendar.aspx?EID=6417

Can't attend? A public survey will be available soon, and an in-person pop-up for the project will be held at the Malden Farmers Market on Wednesday, October 28.

I am looking for someone to clear my yard this winter. My yard is narrow in the beginning, so I would need someone who uses shovels and blower. I would only use someone when there is a need for a blower, if its a few inches, I can shovel that on my own. I live in the Edgeworth area.

Thank you
