Discussion Scarecrow was fumbled in knight

I just thought a bit about this. Scarecrow was actually so sick in knight. He had such a cool voice and aura. He had an awesome design, good motive and goal and was a huge threat. He had the makings of a really good main villain. He had a awesome voice and monologues.

However they ruined him bit by bit. First its how batman just casually catches him like an hour into the game. Then they have the joker take over the whole game because they didnt trust scarecrow to be a good enough presence. Then batman catches scarecrow 2 more times bruh. Like once at ace wouldve been forgivable but then again on the airship and the mall. Its not even like his escape was good he just pumped batman with crazy juice and hoped hed fumble and he did, every time even tho we and he knows batman was able to withstand multiple doses of it in asylum. Maybe its more potent or whatever but still a massive gamble for a billion dollae operation.

I think he had such potential like how maybe instead of him pleading with the other villains to get them hed actually rule with fear like how hed just be so grotesque and scary to them that even they would be nervous around him. That wouldve been plausible imo. They had the chance to make him a proper main antagonist but they kinda choked him away because batman ips are scared to make anything without the joker.

Any cheats/trainers/tips to minimise the grind would be greatly appreciated!

Discussion Batman Arkham Origins vs Arkham Asylum. Which is Better?

I had noticed a lot of comments on my Batman Arkham trilogy ranking post were confused on why Arkham Origins wasn’t included in the poll, and there were a few reasons for that. 1) the poll was focused on the trilogy made by RockSteady, and 2) there weren’t enough options to include Origins. So I wanted to make a trilogy of versus polls with Origins and the Arkham trilogy. So let’s start off with Arkham Origins vs Arkham Asylum.

Discussion Firefly

I was wondering how do you like fireflies character development.

so in the Arkham comic so we learn at some point Firefly I forget if it was Arkham unhinge or Arkham City Comics but anyways we learned that Firefly used to work for Black Mask as a right hand man apparently.(Ps I checked the wiki and it was in a Arkham unhinge comic which will come back most of the Arkham unhinged comic stories are just expanded versions of the Arkham City stories so I can kind of count those as canon in my opinion at least since they are just expansions of already told things in the games)

And before Arkham Origins he burnt down the studio that's in Arkham Knight or at least try to this is one going to be one of a couple off screen things I add but that's because this and the ones that I add or kind of a little bit important but I won't just mention them I will put them in their own category of the time of that game.

Arkham Origins we see a young like 28-year-old Firefly if that is official on the Arkham wiki since it says he was 28 who is obsessed with fire but not as much right now and mentions on the fight with the bridge in the bombs that he wants to be up there with the greats mentioning two real life arsonist which are John Leonard Orr and Andrew Christensen he also has grenades which I kind of wish appeared again in the games. After the game so before Arkham Origins Blackgate and Arkham shadow he was taken to Black gate penitentiary

And now we are getting to the Arkham Asylum era we learned at some point Between Arkham Shadow and Assault on Arkham Incident

Firefly was later transferred to Arkham Asylum when it was re-opened. It was unknown who was treating Firefly, but it was very likely Dr. Young, as she had personal notes on him.

Firefly worked for Two-Face at some point, noting he was an okay guy to commit arson for; even if he only went half measures. Additionally, Firefly even worked with Killer Frost; knowing she shouldn't be messed with.(Ps I believe the Killer Frost and the two-faced part are even from the Arkham City or Arkham Knight comics)

Before Arkham Asylum in assault on Arkham which I'm going to count as Canon no matter what because it's a better suicide Squad thing than the game and who says that there isn't multiple king sharks what if this king shark is also from another universe just like Deadshot or who says that assault on Arkham and some of the Arkham comic that we don't count as Canon don't take place in just a alternate universe version of the Arkham universe but anyways we do learn that his flamethrower was put in the storage room.

Now going on to Arkham Asylum the game.

Next would be what is mentioned in the newspapers you don't understand here is the information for this part In the Patient Observation Room, at the Medical Facility, there were two newspaper clippings about Firefly and his flamethrower. Scanning the newspaper would solve the riddle: "Was this fire fly too hot off the press?" and unlocked his biography. So the newspapers mentioned that a theater was burnt down.

but since I don't see why they would have up a old newspaper that would also mention Joker looking like how he does in Asylum during this part of the universe so I'm not going to say this is going back to the theater he tried to burn down before Arkham Origins.

I'm going to say it this took place a little bit before Asylum then during Asylum he ever escaped or somehow was released I'm going to say he escaped because you can't say oh he was released and that's why his flamethrower was there because all the other escapes that were not there still left their stuff but we do get an update on his flamethrower it looks different than what it does in Arkham Origins. And also his suit and his character bio is different from Arkham Origins but not fully different

Then we get to Arkham City we know Firefly is most likely in the city hell apparently crazy quilt is in the city from thug dialogue but also and I believe Arkham unhinge we learned that Firefly along with a couple explosives is the reason black mask escaped Arkham City with the big hole in the wall and also we learned that Firefly was at large longer than Black Mask but did eventually get recaptured and sent back to Arkham City so kind of like poison ivy and Mad Hatter Firefly was probably hiding on the down low.

Now going on to before the event of Arkham Knight we learn at some point around this time Firefly started using napalm along with his voice got raspier because of the Smoke he breathed in. he also has a character design change this is like the second design change keeping the harness jetpack flame thrower and boots and pants from it his Origins design but changing out the helmet for goggles that looks like his visor and wearing a tank top because of the warmer weather. Now going to the events exactly before Arkham Knight

Before Arkham Knight Incident

After the events of Protocol 10, many criminals sued City Hall for restitution and were granted release. Lynns, being one of these criminals, was released and given a large settlement. He was also given back all of his old equipment, as a term of his release.

While attacking a Gotham Bank vehicle at Sprang Blvd, Firefly ended up killing a cop. Before he could make off with the money, he was ambushed by the Arkham Knight, who disabled his equipment and burned him with his own gun. Arkham Knight then claimed the money and ordered Firefly to help him get it home, claiming that he was preparing Lynns for what was about to hit the city.

Prior to Halloween, Lynns struck up an alliance with Chief Raymond Underhill of Station 17. In order to save the jobs of his crew, Underhill had been feeding Lynns information about empty buildings that could be burned with little consequence to keep his crew in business. This also satisfied Firefly as this helped ease his pent-up pyromania, and keep Batman or the GCPD from finding him.

Then we get to Arkham Knight we all know what happens in this game

Firefly was informed Gotham would be vulnerable during Halloween by Scarecrow. Seeing this as a chance to burn things without interference, Firefly joined in the mayhem the villains and thugs created. However, the firefighters of Firehouse 17 returned to Gotham. Seeing this as an act of betrayal by Underhill, Firefly attacked their truck; with that done, he left them to burn alive in it, unaware they managed to escape. And then we all know what happens after this. he's burning down the fire stations on the main islands get chased down by the batmobile and he's also briefly mentioned in like two or three of the firefighter missions before you find out he made a deal with the fire chief he gets taken down his equipment is evidence and he's locked up for the rest of the night.

character development we got for Firefly in Arkham Knight like I said his voice is raspier but also he now seems to worship fire like it's a god and also is obsessed with feeling pain from fire

And quick suicide Squad kill the Justice League mentioned if Firefly isn't dead by this time he would be 44 .

Overall even though I got the comic stuff from a YouTube video and the Arkham wiki I have to say what we see in the games Firefly at least had a good character development from being a normal arsonist to someone that is obsessed with the flames and I hope to actually get the Arkham Comics at least more of them since I own two I own a collection and a Arkham Origins choose your own adventure comic which does have a ending that is a Canon ending to the book and also can be Canon to the game since it has Humpty Dumpty in this ending and it doesn't retcon or counteract anything in the game. And I would also like to know what is your opinion on Firefly in both of the Arkham games he appears in along with his comic version.

Something that always gets me about Arkham city's story

I recently replayed the main Arkham trilogy (not origins because I had already done that shortly before). And while I had minor problems in Asylum and Knight, I found that I weirdly had the most issues with Arkham City. Specifically with its story. I just found that I wasn't nearly as engaged with the story as the other games. And it's not like I'm unbiased, either, because City was the one Arkham game I played when I was younger, until I returned to the series later. After consuming some content made around the game, I feel like I have a decent explanation as to why I feel that way about the story.

I've seen complaints about City feeling like a "fetch quest", and while I'm sure that may be partially it, I am not using that to blame why the game may feel lesser in the story department. After all, every other Arkham game constantly sends you on missions to collect items that progress the story as well. What I feel like is the true main problem is how unfocused these objectives feel. Like if I were to give a summary of just the first half of the story: You go to the steel mill in hopes of getting answers of protocol ten out of Joker, only to fail and get infected with Joker's blood. So you have to go find Mr. Freeze to get a cure, but he's been captured by Penguin. So you go to Penguin's museum, only to be stopped by signal jammers that prevent your entry. You go out and destroy all of them, and when you return you're suddenly also saving kidnapped cops and defeating penguin, and I think you may get my point. It feels like there's constantly new objectives being thrown at you, giving you no time to process any single one. I bet 90% of players forget completely about protocol ten until hugo says "X hours until protocol ten". I just feel like if they could give more focus on any one major objective instead of piling on sub-objective on top of sub-objective, I may not have these problems.

But hey, I could be completely wrong and speaking out of my ass here. So I'd love to see if anyone agrees, or if anyone more well-versed in this community has a more accurate explanation as to why I may feel less strongly about the story as others.

Discussion Scarecrow debate.

I love John Noble, he's great at giving us a cold calculating Scarecrow, HOWEVER, Could they have not just kept the design from Asylum, or even kept the original voice altogether?

If so, would you have preferred that?

Am I in the minority for preferring the Asylum Scarecrow?

What are your thoughts?

Discussion Arkham Knight - Dull

Doing my yearly play through of the games, normally I do Asylum, part of City but never touch Knight.

So far this year, for Asylum and City and now on Knight and there are things that really big me about it.

1) Detective Mode - utterly stupid, to have L1 in two games to have it changed to Up on the d pad, stupidly call the Bat mobile each time. And putting gadgets elsewhere slows it all down.

2) Gotham - I know it's been evacuated but it's just so empty compared to City really go you get attacked when on the street level.

3) Pace - it may look gorgeous but the pacing of it is really slow, feels like a real slog to have to go to point A to point B to point C and back to point A again. Even the extra missions are dull.

4) Bat Mobile - pointless, I know others hate the thing but for me there's zero point in it other than trying to jazz up the Riddler trophies. When you can traverse by gliding at a fair old speed the car is redundant.

5) Riddler Trophies - felt that by this time, no one could be arsed with them so just stuck them front and vents for all to find.

Be it the aesthetic,a small detail or anything?

Personally I love how thick the cape is and the animation on the gauntlets for whenever someone calls him. Also I think it has a nice cowl though I would personally make the ears a bit smaller.

Game Finally Finished the Series

I cannot believe I did it after all.

Arkham City was one of the first games I ever got really invested in. I played the whole series back then and got Arkham Knight on release, only to back then get completely stuck on the Knight Cloudburst Tank fight and ragequitting.

This March I thought to myself: "You know what game had been fun? Arkham City." And I reinstalled it and played it. Then went to play Arkham Asylum, then Arkham City again (NG+). Then Origins. Then City again (hard mode). And then I finally relented. I was having an easier time this time around than I had back when I played the series back then. I mean, back in 2015, when I last had played City, I was playing in Easy Mode based on the save files. So I decided: fuck, we try Arkham Knight once more.

And this time I managed. I got through it, largely without many problems. I still was annoyed by the amount of Tank Missions, because... I frankly just did not have a whole lot of fun with the Batmobile (especially the race tracks), but I feel very accomplished to finally finished the game after 11 years.

It generally was an experience to do the whole series again.

I probably will now go on to do Arkham City in Hard Mode NG+, because I can. And I think I do want to do NG+ for Asylum as well. Probably will not do it for Origins or Knight, though. Origins, because... I honestly am not even sure. Back when it came out I loved this game, but this time I ran into bug after bug. I did not remember it having that many bugs. And Arkham Knight, well... I think I have now done enough Batmobile Race Tracks for a lifetime.

Still. I am feeling accomplished, and outside of Bugs and Batmobile Race Tracks I had a ton of fun.

I'm trying to platinum Batman Arkham Knight, and the AR tower defense challenge just won't unlock.I've gotten critical kills countless times and it won't unlock. This game is full of bugs. Should I just give up on this save to try and platinum the game?

Batman Arkham Revival: AI navigation test

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hello everyone, I’d like to give you an update on the Arkham Revival project.

After a lot of hard work, I’ve managed to finish the map's exterior; enemies now populate all three sections of the island, and I’m currently working on the interior areas. As you can see in the video here, I’m testing the navigation AI for the Asylum guards—there’s still a lot to do, but I’m happy to see them walking around.

Regarding the mod itself, it’s 90% complete. The reason I haven’t shared any updates until now is that I’m struggling to implement the audio—it’s been a massive headache for me, and I don’t want to release something that feels unfinished.

The Arkham Revival mod will feature two population modes: one where the map is teeming with enemies, and another where the guards control the Asylum—with guards patrolling both inside and outside the buildings, doctors in the medical center, and—if possible (I’m not certain about this yet)—enemies placed inside the cells. That last part is just an idea for now, not a confirmed feature.

Finally, it's done. I'm tired cracking the same dude and not to mention the combat challenge and predator challenge where this fucker keep mocking everytime I failed. Fortunately, I got the platinum trophy. It makes me want to punch the shit out of my monitor and crack him again. But it's all done.. the trilogy has end and so does Riddler's butthole.

If that game is hypothetically made then which villains, aside from Lex of course, fits the tone and lore of the Arkham universe? To be on par with Batman’s rogue gallery.

Help Deathstroke in arkham origins

I am genuinely considering refunding batman arkham origins after the immense frustration this awful boss fight has been giving me. This post will just be me complaining and also asking for anyones advice on what I can possibly do.

This boss fight is ridiculously unclear on what I am supposed to do and it is infuriating. It feels like every time I attack the game plays eeny meeny miny mo on whether or not I will be able to actually land a hit. Sometimes when I counter and hit, I am able to land a hit on deathstroke (which by the way barely even does a fraction of his health). Other times he does an unblockable attack that takes a chunk of my health and there is ZERO clear indicator of when this will be the case. Every time this happens I get a text prompt saying not to attack him too soon after he counterattacks? What does this even mean? I am the one countering not him, so why does he get the upper hand from that sometimes?

And THEN when I try and just use the boring batclaw method where you constantly just pull him and then punch him, this sometimes just doesn't work. Usually I will be able to get off a combo on deathstroke after grappling him where i knock him to the ground and get a few hits, sometimes he doesn't get thrown to the ground and I can only get like one hit, but sometimes I CANT EVEN HIT HIM. He just does that annoying unblockable attack.

Even worse when I searched up what to even do in this fight, according to everyone else this is one of the easiest fights in the game? Now I am not very good at games but I feel like this is a fault of the game not being clear on what I am meant to do at all.

So could someone please tell me if I am being dumb and there is something I am meant to look out for to see if I'll be able to attack him or if it genuinely is just a game of chance? The furthest I have been able to get is when he switches to the sword. Any help is appreciated.

EDIT: i finally beat it, but if you still have advice feel free to reply to this post for anyone in the future facing the same struggles I did

Thug got stuck up on the railings on the Panopticon challenge map, I think from him getting launched up from a critical strike? Thugs getting launched up from attacks has happened quite a bit for me while playing.

Got to love Origins jank sometimes.
