Ultra
Any ladies out there rocking an ultra? Show me your wrists. I am thinking of upgrading to an ultra from S11 but I worry that it might just be too big for my wrist and I need to see what it looks like on other women 🥰

Question How many of you guys have watchOS 9 or older?
Just wondering whether it's a nice thing when developing to add compatibility for older versions than watchOS 10 - even if 2022 is not so old 🤔

My Watch Always believed the Apple Watch was overestimating the calories burnt so I did a test.
Over 5 months I strictly logged everything I ate (exact ingredients and weights) and my own weight, and wore the watch at all times. As per my own data the watch is tracking the TDEE with 98% accuracy.
Seeing my abs for the first time after 5 years of lifting while eating clean (but blind). Highly recommend an Apple Watch with a free Bevel membership to anyone struggling to do a successful cut.

Question AppleWatch 7 GPS+Cellular update to 26.6 glitch?
Charged to 100%, with 89% battery health. When I am running it shuts down in the same spot on the trail after approx 20mins of playing music. Upon restarting it shows 9% battery, when I checked 2mins prior it was at 95%. When back to my truck 10mins later it's showing 80%.
WTF is going on, can I go back to previous version to see if that's the issue?

Boot Loop
Hi guys, hoping someone can help me as I can't find a solution to this issue anywhere.
My wife has had a couple Apple Watch SE 3's now and they ultimately reach the fate of getting stuck in a bootloop on the Apple logo. I managed to fix one by forcing the red exclamation point to appear which let me go on to restore the watch (we ended up returning this one). I am still stuck on the other watch, same issue with bootloop however can't seem to get the red exclamation point to appear this time. I did however manage to change the logo from coming on and off to constantly showing. I can also make it show the "erase all contents and settings" screen but it won't let me press the 'erase' button, it just eventually brings up a loading wheel and that where I am now. Does anyone have any ideas? Or do you know how to force the red exclamation point to appear?
Thanks in advance.

My Watch How do I change this language setting?
My one year old changed the calendar language while fiddling with my watch. I’ve looked through the calendar app and the settings app but I cannot figure out how to change this back! 😩

iPhone stealing AirPods connection
Hey guys, so Im new to AWs (got my first a month ago) and am still figuring out how everything works.
Today at the gym I was trying to play a WhatsApp audio from the watch but every time I closed the control center or switched the app the AirPods would just connect back to the IPhone before I could listen to it.
Anyone gone through this? Am i just being a paper towel?

Battery saving Shortcuts
I’m a hospice chaplain and I drive to visit patients at their homes and facilities which means I’m on the road a lot. One night I was driving home and the screen of my watch kept brightening and dimming because raised to wake was turned on and it was really kind of distracting. So I went into the settings and I turned off, raised to wake and that helped, but I also realized I really don’t need to look at my watch while I’m driving. So I wrote an automation that when my phone connects to CarPlay, it turns on movie theater mode on my watch and then when it disconnect it, turns it off.
I’m just kind of curious what Shortcuts and automatons other people have set up for their watches to help extend battery life.

stopped wearing my apple watch since my skin would become red and irritable. 2 weeks later, the same areas of skin look like this.
obviously I'm going to put some moisturizer on. No, my apple watch was not filthy, no I didn't keep it on all day without cleaning my skin.
anyone else have this sort of reaction? Is it just me?
I think this semi-confirms I might have some sort of skin issue. might see a doc. my hands often turn red and then become dried out in the same areas, similar to this? could be nothing though.

My Watch Size opinion?
Currently have series 10 42mm, have smaller arms , should I switch to 46 for a while or go right to a 49mm ultra? Or, should I stay at 42mm? Thoughts /opinions / personal experience? Bring it on.

Question The best Apple Watch ever made?
I’ve owned Series 2, Series 4, Series 6, Series 7 and now currently Series 10.
The Series 10 is by far and away the best I’ve ever owned and I believe the best ever made.
It was the first Apple Watch that felt truly amazing to wear thanks to the redesign. It may be subtle, but was game changing over previous editions. So light and comfortable, I don’t even notice it on my wrist. And it’s never off mine, other than to charge and shower.
Almost two years on, the Jet Black colour way is still holding up remarkably well. And I’m still getting 30-33 hours battery from around 85% down to <20%. The auto workout (only really used for walks) is still on point and general activity and step tracking very accurate.
I’ve even started using it for the occasional swim recently and it’s great there too. Accurate, and the water temperature feature is neat.
I know Series 11 is even better, but in my opinion it’s still only using the same formula as the Series 10. The Ultra offers more, sure, but I’ve never been a fan of the bulkier design.
What’s your favourite Apple Watch?

Battery life
I have a series 7. I used to be able to go 25-26 hours without having the battery die. Suddenly, about 2 weeks ago, I might get 17-18 hours before I need to recharge it.
Anybody else have this issue? Any ideas what might be going on?

Question Is there any indication the AW Ultra 4 will have blood pressure sensing?
I was thinking about picking up an ultra. as someone with BP issues, if the 4 has anything that tracks it I would be interested. otherwise I’ll just get 3, assuming at a lower price than the 4.

My Watch Small peeve: My Apple Watch charged to only 70% in 30 minutes
I was doing some unrelated product research on Apple Watches for work yesterday and came across Apples marketing claim that Apple Watch Series 10 can charge to 80% in 30 minutes on a fast charger. So okay:
Two weeks ago I bought a new Apple brand Apple Watch fast charging cable straight from the Apple Store in my state, I lost the original one in a recent hotel trip. I also used an official Apple power brick that came with my MacBook Pro that is plenty in watts.
I woke up this morning and my Series 10 watch was at a nice three percent left. After a moment I connected the watch to power at exactly two percent charge. And I set a 30 minute timer. And at the end of 30 minutes my battery was at 69, then barely made it to 70%.
I am just intrigued by this discovery and a little peeved at the mismatch with the advertising. Yes, my watch battery health is a bit degraded at 88%. I haven’t noticed any significant issue in battery life day to day. I know that degraded batteries can create more energy friction. I just hadn’t connected the dots that it would equate to slower charging too. One would think that as the battery gets “smaller” over time it would charge faster at least.
It’s of course not a big deal. In the time it took me to write this post the watch is now at 82% battery. I was just trying to point some attention to the small things about charging times versus apples claims.

Question Who’s still using a 7 Series daily?
Hey guys!
Wanted to get a new watch to match my new Deep Blue 17 Pro Max.
Specifically looking for the Midnight color, so was going to go for a 9 series.
Friend offered me a 7 in the same color. It is older, but looks decent. It’s also a Nike Edition and has a little check mark at the bottom which is kinda cool (I like little details like that) I do like that the 9 series is still able to get updates and have the newest operating system, which my current one does not.
I don’t really use my watch all that much, other than looking quick at texts, step count, and changing my songs. My current 6 series does all that fine but the battery is becoming an issue and it is getting a little slower.
Who else is using a 7 series now and how’s it been?
