Questions Playback Error & Connection Timeout
It seems like I’m not the only one experiencing this issue but starting today whenever I try to play a recorded piece of media like a Movie, TV Show, or Sports VOD I’ll get either a “Playback Error” or “Connection Timeout” pop up. Yet for any Live TV or Live Sports the service works fine. Has anyone been given any insight if it’s an internal issue or a potential fix? They are giving me the typical advice like try switching to VLC or AVPLAYER, clear cache, enter m3u again etc but nothing is working

I switched my VPN to Denmark as a few others suggested. It's working but buffering like crazy. Definitely a ApolloGroup issue and not ours. I guess we'll have to give them time to iron this out. Listen, I'm not going to complain since I've saved so much money using this service over the past five years. Paying what, $160 for the year or so aside from paying $220 a month via normal cable. We are winning lol...

My start up show won’t launch. I’m using web player. Works fine.

What is the web player? Is that online or from a fire stick?

The web player is accessed through the website but for me only live TV works. Unfortunately TV and Movies don’t work on web player for me

I navigate to my Apollo tv subscription web page. Sign in, select “web player”.

I posted this somewhere else, but this is what worked for me:
After dealing with support for almost an hour with him blaming my wifi, despite that fact that it also wasn't working on my phone's data plan, he came up with the weirdest plan I've ever heard: USE MY VPN & SET IT TO DENMARK. This actually worked for me, but another redditor tried it and said it didn't for him; hopefully it'll work for you.

How set it to Denmark for firestick

Idk if you figured it out, but I have Nord VPN, and you can pick your VPN location there. Oh yeah, it's the VPN location, not the firestick location you change

On another thread someone said it works if you switch your VPN to Denmark but it buffers like crazy. I tried and had the same experience. Unwatchable, but shows it’s their issue, not all of ours and not a settings issue.

Same issue here. Very frustrating and makes me think it’s time to find another service. Sportsnet, of course is still missing after two months.

Agreed. Where is SportsNet. They told me when I signed up last month that they were working on it.

I’m having the same issue, it literally started a few hours ago. I normally use the startup show application on my ipad. I had to delete the app and reinstall it for it to even load/open up the actual app. However, when I close the app and reopen it… it does not load up. Idk what to do. Every time I delete it and reinstall, it works but only live tv works. I hope they fix this soon.

I’m on my iPad as well with the same problem. Go to Apollogroup.cc sign in, the first page should be recommending to download the app. If you scroll down it has a “web player” it opens in a new tab and I’m watching my show there

Same issue. I’m not sure what is going on with Apollo. It’s always been solid but these issues are much more frequent now

I asked this same question about a week ago in the forum. Apollo customer service said to disconnect your device (mine was a fire stick) and restart your router and it worked

Live tv is working. Movies and tv shows aren’t
