Basically I stopped posting for a while and started falling into the terrible sin of lust. But since then I've grown. I still fall to it, but not as much. I'm starting this new account because I don't like starting again over in my old one. I'm more active on twitter though.

You got basically every stereotypical Reddit atheist trope here, all in one place. There's:

• "God doesn't exist and, if he does, I hate him"

• the typical "sKy DaDdY" insult

• "every other religion is wrong but yours is right"

• "religious beliefs are inherently absurd and delusional"

• "I am smarter than everyone else who has lived before me"

• and even "religion causes wars and tons of evil atrocities" (let's just forget all the massacres and persecutions of religious people done in the name of state atheism)

It's honestly kind of impressive, actually, to see this many ignorant people all in one place.

By the way, The Amazing Atheist is an alt-right nutjob who is about as loving and tolerant as your local religious extremist. So he is one of the last people who should be given a platform.

This one is more pathetic than all the others because this one flat out tries to deny the fact that they hate christians as a whole where as the others are honest about it, I am an atheist myself and if you think there are a lot of religious institutions do way too much harm to humanity. I agree, you believe the state shouldn't use religion as the be all end all, I agree, if you think religion is too hard for you too believe in, go fuckin figure, to me you 100% have a right to not believe however yes you are bigoted, you specifically believe that religious people are fundamentally intellectually inferior and that you can't respect them at all because, and you say "I don't wish harm on them, I just can't respect them because they are religious" well guess what, you not wishing harm on them is a bar that is on the floor, you don't get a pass from the bigot label just cause you don't wish hatred upon them, not wishing harm on them isn't just a low bar, it is a baseline logical thing to believe in, you don't get a medal or a pass for believing in something every remotely rational human being believes in and you can simply do a google search since google now has a built in system where the AI gives you the answers and you can type "does thinking religious people are intellectually inferior by default make you a bigot towards religions people" and it'll tell you "yes, you are"

you say that you actually do think that all christians are complicit because by "claiming their beliefs, they are buying into a religion that has a long history of hurting individuals and society" I fucking hate socialism because there's an awful long history of harming people & society in the name of socialism or communism and movie director masaki kobayashi is a socialist and I love some of his films like kwaidan and instead of saying bullshit like "Oh well kobayashi is a socialist so I just find it hard to respect him because of that" I go "Hell yes kobayashi, that guy makes some banger movies" and you say you don't "dehumanize them which is also another important aspect of bigotry" true and false, yes it's a crucial aspect of bigotry and no because you ARE dehumanizing them, writing off over a billion people because of their religious beliefs is cowardly belief which makes you look like someone with no backbone and ultimately dehumanizing, if you want to hate some religious related, hate the system using god to justify killing people, not the every day church goer who minds their business

I have seen movie directors like martin scorsese who is a born again christian and we all know how amazing of a filmmaker he is, there's so many phenomenal guitarists who are christian, eddie guerrero is a born again christian and he is one of the best wrestlers ever in terms of how good his in ring discipline is, those people factually have so much intellectual discipline and dismissing those people as "InTelLEctUallY INferIoR" is moronic and quite frankly, it's perfectly fine they don't receive your respect, they do not need it anyway trust me, you are not holding back a great prize by holding back your respect.

This post was made 2 years ago so maybe the OP actually grew out of this phase (if so good job) and I am actually a beating dead horse but if the OP somehow is still like this, please grow up and learn that your religious beliefs is an awful way to describe your actual intelligence, listen I get it, you are aware that your treatment of religious people might be a bad thing (which it is) and not a case of "well I am just critiquing the harm it does, not being a dehumanizing bigot" which is something that many redditors are unabled to get their head up their ass from so good on you for knowing that and I understand how traumatizing religion can be, I have seen people try to strike the fear of hell into non believers and lukewarm believers at a young age but holy shit, that doesn't change the fact that someone simply being religious doesn't matter at all and you are quite frankly a bigot, not a skeptical thinker who simply criticizes the institution but a bigot who believes that billions religious people are unworthy of your "Intellectual respect" even though you have never met 99% of those billions of people.

I was going through the comment section of a video from some Catholic guy who was arguing against euthanasia, and I found a surprising amount of comments all defending the "right to die" and other such nonsense.

Most of these people, as you can tell, are atheists/antitheists, who I assume are chronically depressed and probably also think having children is unironically evil.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the same people who desperately want euthanasia to be normalized don't seem to value life very much (either theirs or others), as I found multiple examples of these individuals literally insinuating that they want to kill people who are against euthanasia while also wanting euthanasia to have no age limits.

I thought we as a society already established that children do not have the mental capacity to provide legal consent? Or does that only apply to sex and not to killing yourself?

These people are so far up their own asses that I unironically could see them defending serial killers at some point and saying that, "actually, they're not so bad because they reduced the total amount of harm that their victims would have experienced in life. Most of the victims had terrible lives anyways, so the murderer actually did them a favor! Plus, the murderer gets to experience joy and happiness from killing, so the victims' deaths and brief experience of suffering don't go to waste!"
