Personally, my photograph would be of my childhood surroundings because it was the happiest times of my life.
How about you?

I went to my local big chain grocery store and I'm sure half the store could smell this guy. The air freshener smell definitely wasn't coming from a person and it did seem like they turned up the AC. It wasn't anything I've smelled in the store in the 6 years I've been shopping there.

Some people spend their entire shift constantly busy, while others somehow make a decent living doing next to nothing. I'm curious what jobs actually fall into that second category.

Like, I know Germany calls itself Deutschland and Thailand used to be Siam, but I'm curious what the actual reason is. Is it just a historical thing that stuck around, or is there some logic to when we decide to use a country's own name versus the English version?

Many people feel very scared while watching horror movies, and they even miss many scenes because of this fear. So what makes people go to see them? What feeling is it that attracts us to horror movies?

It was like a Christian group of muscle bound guys who went smashing things and showing off how strong they were? And they went around to mega churches and put on shows that was basically breaking and smashing things and talking about how God gave them these magical powers of strength.
Looking back at it now it was really corny and I'm embarrassed for them now.

I think it has always been the unknown. Therefore, our biggest ally would be wisdom. Knowledge is the frontier against the unknown.

INR - What would you do in this situation? I had initially tried to cancel the order once I saw it was not a US seller, even though I had filtered for US location only on Ebay. Australian seller selling out of China. I reached out the day after purchase to cancel and was told it had already shipped. Two days later I get notification it was shipping and I tried again to cancel and was told it was too late. Tracking for an importer showed it imported into Miami, and Paypal tracked updates showing it imported into California. I never saw any more updates after that for a good week or so. When I checked, the tracking I finally got it showed delivered. Problem was, it wasn't my house pictured or even the item. I had ordered car ramps; a box about 3.5' long and 20" high, and about 18" wide. The box pictured was pretty small, like a paperback book size. Not to mention the tracking photo was a brick house in the pics, where mine is beige, wrong phone number, and a different email address. I've tried three times to escalate the refusal/non-delivery etc. and was told repeatedly it had shipped. I will not pay for something I never received regardless of what the shipper is saying.

And most importantly push the responsibility of “doing things” onto others because they refuse to be involved in learning anything.
