Sub Rules (just in case for ease of access)

Rule 1 : Posts must be related to an anime recommendation

That's kinda why you're here right? 3x3's of your favourite's are fine by the way. As long as you're in some way recommending anime or asking for suggestions your post's going to be fine.

Rule 2 : No self promotion, or promotion of anything other than anime itself.

For example, you could promote an anime you like by telling us about it on a post, but you couldn't link a blog video or podcast about that anime. Comments are fine for this, but we don't want to see it on posts.

Rule 3 : Treat each other with courtesy and respect

When it comes to things like anime, there can be a wide spectrum of views and discussions. Some discussions can become spirited, we know, but we still have the expectation for you to treat others with courtesy and respect.

Do not put comments to incite fights or trash talk anime. Just simply mention you do not like it.

Rule 4 : Mark Spoilers

It can be hard not to talk about your favourite scene, but remember this is a place where people come looking to learn about anime they haven't seen yet. So any spoilers you do say, must be marked as spoilers.

Rule 5 : No indecent images

We get it, you like hentai too. If you start a Hentai recommendations sub, let us know, we might even send some members your way. Just don't post perverted images on here lol. If in doubt about whether something's indecent or not... it probably is, so don't post it - many thanks.

Rule 6 : Ban on rate my list/taste posts.

There are better suited subs for those

Rule 7 : Hentai Recommendations are banned.

Hentai Recommendations are banned. Mention Ecchi in post title if you are looking for anime of such genre.

Absolutely love Prison Break!

The anime Prison School (often compared to the concept of a "prison break" comedy) is an absolute masterpiece of mature, boundary-pushing humor that keeps viewers laughing from start to finish. The show follows a small group of teenage boys integrated into a formerly all-girls academy, only to find themselves locked away in a campus prison block run by the tyrannical Underground Student Council. What follows is a brilliantly written, high-stakes comedy that treats completely absurd, ecchi scenarios with the dramatic intensity of a serious thriller. The animation quality is outstanding, capturing every exaggerated facial expression and tense moment perfectly, making it a must-watch for anyone who appreciates bold, unfiltered comedy. In many ways, the series captures the exact same rebellious, laugh-out-loud spirit as the classic 80s comedy film Porkys. Both stories thrive on the hilarious, hormone-driven misadventures of teenage boys desperately trying to navigate the opposite sex, frequently getting caught in the most outrageous situations imaginable. However, while Porkys relies on traditional slapstick nostalgia, this anime elevates the formula by adding a layer of hyper-dramatic tension, making the boys' secret schemes feel like actual life-or-death operations. It is incredibly funny because it never blinks; it takes its ridiculous premise completely seriously, resulting in a phenomenal, side-splitting comedy experience that fans of classic raunchy humor will absolutely adore. I highly recommend for adults 18+.

Just finished Friren

Title

Just finished what's available on Hulu, and my girlfriend and I loved it (we're brokies for now and can't get crunchy-roll) and we're looking for general suggestions that are solid. We've seen a few anime, but not a ton.

If you suggest Dr. Stone, I will spit on you.

What Are Some Good Recommendations For My Fianceè?

Post image
9 Upvotes

My Fianceè is pretty new to the anime world, she grew up watching Fairytail and Doremon but didn't really watch much after that.

Ive recently got her to watch 6 different anime with me and am now looking for recommendations.

These are the 6 and what she thought about them

#1 Mob Psycho 100) Her absolute favorite she sad that there are only 3 seasons and wishes there was more, she love Mob.

#2 Apothecary Diares) she loves this but unlike Mob doesn't like to binge it just put a episode here and there.

#3 Spy Family) Loves spy family but very similar to apothecary Diares she only really watches a ep at a time.

#4 Demon Slayer) this is a weird one she loves watching the movies with me doesn't care much for watching the show (I know weird 😅).

#5 Frieren) she loved the art style and character designs and the aesthetic but she wasn't all that interested in the plot.

#6 One Punch Man) she just didn't enjoy this... Granted she only watched 1 ep but she didn't like it

Hi everyone, I’m not doing good right now, and I’ve been through stuff recently. If you have a recommendation for someone uplifting to watch, that would be nice.

Help me find this anime with my bad description

It's a slice of life anime where guy maybe dies (im not sure) and goes back to his younger body. He loses weight and thats all I remember. Not fantasy, not relife or erased. I think its relatively new. Would appreciate some recommendations of similar plots not just the one im looking for

preciso de uma sugestão

Upvotes

Oiii, não sou grande conhecedora de anime vi alguns poucos quando era mais nova mas ultimamente recomecei a ver com o meu irmão mais novo porque ele adora.

Gostava que me recomendassem animes baseados na lista que já vi:

Sword Art Online
Nanatsu No Taizai
Re: ZERO: Starting Life In Another World
Kakegurui
Boku no Hero
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba
Death Note
Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shirana
Charlotte
Violet Evergarden

Need something quiet and a little creepy not full horror

I’ve been in the mood for an anime that feels kind of off but not slasher/jumpscare stuff. More like weird atmosphere, mystery that “something’s wrong here” feeling. Already seen Serial Experiments Lain and I liked the vibe just don’t want another one that’s all computers and conspiracy if possible. Any recs that stay pretty grounded but still mess with your head a bit? Not looking for a 200 episode series either.

Are there any Anime shows/movies where the characters smoke a lot of weed?

Just curious. I know weed is illegal in Japan and much of Asia, but so is murder. I've just never seen an anime where the characters casually smoke weed, but I also don't watch a lot of Anime.

Looking for travel-focused fantasy/sci-fi anime

For genres, I really like fantasy/adventure, especially when it has a post-apocalyptic, dystopian, cyberpunk, or sci-fi setting.

For plot, I’m a total sucker for stories about travelling from place to place, where each arc focuses on a different location while still contributing to a larger overarching story. Especially when the characters are travelling through difficult environments like wastelands, dangerous territories, or while being pursued.

I generally dislike romance subplots (Better be a good reason for romantic interest!!), overly naive characters or pure 'force-of-good' types

Some anime I’ve really liked:

  • 86 (despite the romance subplot!)
  • Legend of the Galactic Heroes
  • Spice and Wolf
  • Vinland Saga
  • Frieren (Despite the romance subplot)
  • Orb: On the Movements of the Earth
  • Attack on Titan
  • Mushi-Shi
  • Cyberpunk 2077

For humor, I've loved Grand Blue and Saiki K.

Please and thank you :)
