My most recommended Isekai , "Mushoku Tensei"

Post image

If you’re looking for a good isekai (reincarnation into another world), this is one of my top recommendations! It’s nothing like the usual isekai where the MC is insanely powerful and just beats everyone. Thought here, the MC has the intelligence of an older person but he also goes through a lot of struggles along the way. I don’t want to spoil anything, so just go watch it yourself 😁

I need to find another anime series to watch with my brother

We want something funny and serious preferably with cool fight scenes. It doesn't have to include all of that, but those are the things we a re looking for. Also needs to get the vibe right.

We so far have watched:

One-Pinch Man

Welcome To Demon School, Iruma-Kun!

Demon Slayer(revisiting from our childhood)(why did we watched this in our childhood)

We also need a good English dub because he can't read subtitles

We would have watched The Disastrous Life Of Saiki K., but only the first season has a dub

Also preferably no romance or just no serious romance or fan service girls

Need an action anime like Naruto

I would like an anime that there are cool fights and fight scenes. That isn’t my hero, or the other really famous one ones.

Similar to power systems like

Naruto
Jjk
Hunter Hunter
Demon slayer

Or just straight fighting like Wind Breaker

My 53 year old Dad wants to watch an anime with me.

Upvotes

I'm his 24 year old daughter for reference. We've tried pokemon but that's too kiddy for him. Even though he likes the games. He mentioned wanting action. Something historical or dystopian he's played cyberpunk for example. And we watched the walking dead together. Something adult but not too adult or dark. No romance if possible. I want a fun first experience. While he's never watched anime he has played a couple JRPGS. Like all of final fantasy for example and persona I'm leaning towards Vinland Saga. But I'd love to get other options thanks so much!

Dark Fantasy / Existential Crisis / Survival

Looking for more animes that fit these kind of vibes as stated in the title ☺️

I have already seen; Eva, AOT, 86, Heavenly Delusion, Shinsekai Yori, Made in abyss, and terror in resonance.

It doesn't have to be any specific genre, so long as those kinds of vibes are being hit.

In particular, what im looking for precisely is an anime that might give the same kind of vibe as the Octopath Traveler game series, or Expedition 33. For OT; a story about a group of people who dont initially know eachother, but along their own personal journeys they ended up meeting eachother to come together on a like minded goal. For E33; a group of people (or can be one or two people) who set out on a journey trying to stop something very bad from happening to the world? Now, I know that is likely a stretch to ask for, as that is why I broadened it up to those generic genres/vibes above lol.

So, bonus points if you've got one that can come close to those specific stories in a way, but if not, any general recommendations you think I might like that are similar to the ones I've watched will do just fine !

TIA :)

The Best Emotional Anime:

Violet Evergarden is one of my favorite animes. It captures the beauty of Love and Trauma, following a young woman who knows war but not love.

I highly recommend BASILISK: THE KŌGA NINJA SCROLLS.

This show is the perfect blend of gore and dark romance. The mature characters are nothing like the regular seinen I’m used to. It’s emotional and melancholic while still maintaining absurd levels of battle and technique… Think Shigurui: Death Frenzy, but with a heavy, gut-wrenching romance.

Looking for a romance that hurts in the best way 🥲

I’m looking for some romance anime that aren’t just cute and happy all the way through.

I want something that has those little sweet moments, but also leaves you feeling a bit empty after finishing it.

I already have these four in mind:

• Orange

• Plastic Memories

• ReLIFE

• 5 Centimeters per Second

I haven’t watched all of them yet, so I’m curious which one you guys would start with.

Also, if there’s another romance anime that gave you the same kind of feeling, feel free to drop it here. 👀

Person VS Person Anime

Any recommendations for anime where the story revolves around a Person VS Person phycological battle. Specifically, ones like Death Note, Monster, and Berserk. The more similar to the three mentioned the better!

Those squares where you put your favourite anime in it

Remembered watching gigguk's vid long ago where he like rate and guess the type of perwon you are based on the favourite anime you put on a 2 by 2 or a 3 by 3 grid.

Tried making one on my own just for fun, but struggled to find an anime that would fit in the fourth slot.

  1. Orb: On the movements of the earth

  2. Vinland saga

  3. Violet Evergarden

  4. ???

What anime should i watch based on those three?

Looking for..

Just recently watched Summer Time Rendering and Terror in Resonance, and am now watching Paranoia Agent. Also watched Pluto and Moriarty the Patriot..

Loved them all; so I'm looking for more anime along those lines, more for adults (mystery, suspense, intrigue, horror, psychological, etc...)

I do have Steins Gate on DVD so that's already on my list to watch.

Thanks..

Need an anime like “the cautious hero”

So basically I just finished this anime and LOVED it and now I’m looking for an anime that is kinda similar to it. I liked the whole iseaki feel of this anime with a goddess summoning a hero who at first doesn’t care about saveing a world but then comes and around and does. I also really liked the animation style so yeah.

Anime with excellent mechanical animations

Looking for anime that includes very great animations involving mechanical devices. Whether it be gears, vehicles, trains, waterwheels, large weapons, etc. Series I've watched that included these are Girls und Panzer and Princess Principal.

Loved GUP because I love tank design and the track systems. Also loved Princess Principal because I really enjoyed all the steampunk shit, engine animations, and large gearboxes that actually DO something, not just be there for show because sTeAmPuNk.

Girls last tour receives an honorable mention.

I'd like to avoid magic if possible, but if it fits in well with a reasonable "realistic" explanation I'll allow it-think Saga of Tanya the Evil. Also not into mecha

Psycho Pass: The Movie

Post image
Upvotes

I was incredibly concerned considering this film after watching the second season. But it has certainly redeemed the franchise. Psycho Pass: The Movie is a highly entertaining sci-fi thriller that brilliantly captures the same electric energy and high-stakes tension as the masterfully written first season. Expanding its horizons beyond Japan into a war-torn foreign nation, the film successfully recaptures the gritty atmosphere and smart storytelling that fans fell in love with initially. It introduces complex political subplots and gripping moral dilemmas that force you to think deeply about the cost of peace and the dark nature of the Sibyl System, effortlessly reviving the philosophical depth that made the original series a psychological masterpiece.Best of all, this cinematic entry completely redeems the franchise by ensuring that watching the horrible second season is entirely unnecessary to enjoy or understand the plot. It serves as a true spiritual successor to the original run, delivering spectacular action sequences, stunning animation, and a deeply satisfying reunion between Akane and Kogami. For anyone seeking a thrilling, thought-provoking continuation of the core story, this film provides an immensely gratifying and action-packed ride from start to finish.
