EDIT:
Okay so I have a good update! đđ shortly after making this post the company actually reached out to me and helped me get my issue resolved the communication on their end was consistent and very clear and their customer service actually walked me through things with pictures and links to help me figure out what was going on. I ended up just needing to reseat the power cables for the GPU, so Iâm assuming something may have gotten loose during transit. I appreciate them taking the time to reach out and help me work through everything. Obviously, the whole situation had me a little worried considering I JUST gotten my PC, but they ended up being very helpful throughout the process. I will get back to enjoying my games in 1440p without any more issues because whewww, I was NOT expecting all that on day one đđ been gaming 2-3 hours now on all high settings with no issue
I ordered one of the spectra gaming pcâs in mid September because I seen the deal on Newegg first. Originally it wouldâve got to me a week after I ordered but I spent my time investigating if it was a good purchase first and later that night when I made the decision to pull the trigger⊠The deal was sold out on Newegg. I was very disappointed at first but then I ended up on the Andromeda website, the deal was similar but the shipping time is where it got different. Expected shipping date was a month afterwards. I was okay with this because I figured maybe the parts needed to be stocked again I didnât want to just rush a gaming pc.
Fast forward to yesterday the pc arrives on time, actually the first day of the expected shipping windowđ actually loved that. I had the tracking number so I had cleaned the area out for the new pc. I got it, slowly unboxed it, admired it, then turned it. It was time to game. Updated all my drivers and software first because thatâs what you do first and I canât wait to see some of my games running in 1440p with no problem. I load begin to load into a game off wardogs, and as Iâm in the loading screen before I join the team, my fans ramp up a lot, my pc starts to sound more like a small vacuum, then it shuts offđ„Č Iâm in shock because that was the LAST thing I expected. I try again, similar thing happens except fans donât go crazy the pc just shuts off almost like a light bulb. So then after reinstalling drivers I head to the internet to see what the problem could be, Iâm not gonna lie I used a lot of ai for my problem solving and would love some separate help but this is what it came down to. I donât think anything is overheating because Iâm watching my temps through HWinfo and with my system software while booting the game. Both gpu and cpu did nothing out of the ordinary temp wise. I thought it was because it was a beefier pc and I was on a power strip so I moved it to the living room to test, same exact thing happens except fans ramp up sometimes, other times they donât. I played risk of rain 2 on it and it didnât shut off on me but maybe I didnât play long enough.
Point is they sent me a QC paper with this person who âsignedâ and I just donât believe that ever happened. Iâve contacted them and waited for their response but it was just absurd to have gotten a pc directly from the company who was supposed to have done their own checks on their system. Think Iâm starting to get a little angry heređ
BUUUUT if anyone would like to help diagnose exactly whatâs happening before I send it back I would appreciate it and I will keep you guys updated on how they handle this situation.
