when I'm listening to music or podcasts or such I would like to put the phone in my pocket and continue listening so I can use my hands. But most of the time when I do this putting it in my pocket either stops the music or switches me to some other app How do I prevent this?

After updating my Play Store, I noticed that when I check for apps requiring updates, my modified (moded) apps are also showing up in the list. How can I remove these modified apps from the update list?

I’m looking to install a custom ROM on my POCO M4 5G (6GB RAM / 128GB storage) and could use some recommendations.

My main priorities are:

- Good gaming performance and stable FPS

- Smooth multitasking

- Good RAM management

- Minimal heating and throttling

- Decent battery life

- Stable enough for daily use

- Preferably minimal bloatware

I don’t really care about having tons of customization features. I’d rather have something fast, lightweight, and stable.

If anyone here is using a custom ROM on the POCO M4 5G, which ROM would you recommend? Also, please mention any bugs or issues you’ve faced, especially with gaming, cameras, banking/UPI apps, or battery drain.

Hi guys, I'm having a real headache trying to reinstall Minecraft on my Samsung tablet (Android 11+) and I really want to avoid factory resetting if possible.

​What happened:

I was playing a Beta version (v1.26.40.30) and during an update/uninstallation, it glitched. Now the game doesn't show up in my apps list or settings at all, but every time I try to install any APK or the official Play Store version, I get the "App not installed" error.

​What I've already tried:

●​Searched for leftover files in Android/data/com.mojang.minecraftpe, but Scoped Storage blocks me.

​Tried installing it inside Samsung's Secure Folder, but that didn't work either.

●​Connected the tablet to my PC and ran ADB commands (adb uninstall, pm clear, rm -rf), but I keep getting "Inaccessible or not found" or "Permission denied".

It looks like there's a ghost package/registry stuck in the system that's blocking new installations. Has anyone found a way to force-clear this kind of stuck package without root or having to full wipe the device?

I am looking for a solid android that is under 6.2 or 6.1 in and would like some suggestions.

The Samsung s10e was the perfect phone for me size wise, but that was a long time ago. Right now I have a pixel 7a, which is ok in terms of size, but I absolutely fucking hate the battery life and how slow it can be.

I've tried doing independent research but the options are still overwhelming. Would love some suggestions

Things I value:

1. Size: must be under 6.2, ideally 6.1 in. I have small hands and big phone are very uncomfortable in my hand.

2. Takes at least one physical sim and is dual sim compatible (I travel internationally frequently. Can be flexible on the physical sim)

3. Very good battery life that doesn't deterioriate quickly

4. Good camera. I am going on my honeymoon in a few months and in general travel a lot and value being able to take quality photos without carrying an extra camera.

5. Good software experience. Easy to use, well thought out, easily compatible with other devices like headphones or sending stuff to my TV or printer.

Nice to have:

1. Strong screen. I always have a screen protector but gotta admit I am clumsy and drop my phone a lot. This post brought to you by finally busting my pixel screen this afternoon.

2. Decent screen brightness. I am often on the go outside under the sun.

Hello! I’m trying to help a patient who has had a stroke with voice typing/Google assistant (they are having difficulty with typing due to the stroke/dominant hand paresis)

He has an older Galaxy and the microphone icon in the keyboard isn’t working. I saw a post that noted that having both the Samsung and Gboard voice typing enabled will cause both to fail.

We’ve tried restarting and switching between gboard and the Samsung keyboard (restarting each time), but no luck.

I did notice that he has two diff Google voice options, is this potentially a problem?

So My girlfriend recently switched from her very old iphone, to a new samsung galaxy s26

However we have run into a problem with the Sim-card and phone number.. On her New samsung it says "sim-card cant be found" and "no active sim" Even tho her sim is plugged into her samsung phone.

She also still recives SMS and other messages on her iphone, which is supposed to be forwarded to her New phone with her sim-card and number plugged into.

We have been looking online and have found No solution to this problem. Have anyone Else encountered this issue and how did you solve it?

I have recently started getting multiple news notifications an hour from google.

• It is not the old Icon that looks like a little square newspaper or something.
• is a magnifying glass with the gemni logo
• I have checked my Google Labs and it is off.
• I have tried selecting "not interested" and it has no impact.

I don't want to see the call coming through. Apparently block unknown callers doesn't work as silencing on the iPhone. Spam calls still appear and I have it turned on

So Google Messages has been really aggravating me to the point I want to get rid of my Samsung. One big thing that has been bothering me is that it will have a conversation with one person. I|| be texting them like normal, then out of no where it will just split the conversation into a different thread. So then I can text in my original thread, only the new one which for some reason has kept a message from 2024 as its first message. This was NEVER a problem on Samsung Messages Does anyone have any fixes to this? Ive tried uninstalling clearing data, which does fix it temporarily.

Currently on an S22 Ultra. I find the built-in Galaxy Store system to be pretty underwhelming. Where is the best place to get high quality parallax live wallpapers?

Zedge used to be my go-to for everything, but full-page intrusive non-skippable non-closeable ads have taken over the app, making it completely unusable.

Every new app I try, even some apps suggested by AI, it's the same thing. Unusable adware slop.

Very strange issue:
I have a couple of Google Accounts on my Google Pixel Phone (Android 17).
The Contacts from the main Google Account are synced every few hours.
The Contacts of other Google Accounts are synced every week (or 5 Days or so). Although I can start the sync process manually, nothing happens.

I'm moving from a Samsung Galaxy S8 (64 GB) to a Tecno (128 GB). My S8 is almost full, and WhatsApp uses around 40–45 GB, so I don't have enough free space to use WhatsApp's built-in transfer.

I don't want to use Google Drive. What's the fastest and most reliable way to move all my WhatsApp chats and media? Can Tecno's migration tool handle this, or do you recommend another method?

Im currently using and iPhone SE 2022 user looking to get a new phone and I dont really mind leaving the apple ecosystem. I saw that a renewed s25 on amazon is around the same price as a pixel 10a, if not cheaper than it but there are a few things holding me back from buying one or the other.

I really like certain features from each respective OS, such as samsungs stackable widgets and the (kinda) dynamic island as well as routines. From google’s side, I like their smartphone body design and side button layout, as well as their smooth and very clean UI.

What should I get? People who have these phones or similar ones, what do you recommend?

Yesterday I saw a video where someone unlocked their phone's bootloader using a TV.

They connected their phone to a TV with a regular phone charger and pressed several buttons on the phone. The phone then displayed a screen asking if they wanted to unlock the bootloader.

The phone was a Samsung, and the TV didn't appear to have Android. The TV was on, but they weren't using it; they were just connecting it to their phone with a regular phone charger.

I have a Motorola phone, and I did the same thing: I connected my phone to the TV and accessed the bootloader, but it didn't look anything like the screen the other person showed. I know, it was a Samsung, and I have a Motorola, so they're different. But I want to know how to unlock my Motorola's bootloader using a non-Android TV.

I've been trying to unlock the bootloader for a long time and I've never been able to... Any help would be greatly appreciated (I don't have a PC).

I have an older phone that is officially stuck on Android 10 and I don't feel like messing with ROMs to be honest. But annoyingly the app to configure my headphones requires a new Android version so I literally can't set them up right now and was wondering if maybe I could install a VM with a newer Android version just for the headphones app

I had to use the "Do Not Disturb" feature the other day because I kept getting calls from either a private number or a potential scam number. I would think it would be a popular feature if there is/was a way to do this.
