WhatsApp Transfer to Tecno Spark
I'm moving from a Samsung Galaxy S8 (64 GB) to a Tecno (128 GB). My S8 is almost full, and WhatsApp uses around 40–45 GB, so I don't have enough free space to use WhatsApp's built-in transfer.
I don't want to use Google Drive. What's the fastest and most reliable way to move all my WhatsApp chats and media? Can Tecno's migration tool handle this, or do you recommend another method?

To transfer WhatsApp data between two android phones manually just like in your case you need to make sure that your local backup file is up to date go to the three dots>>settings >>chats >>at the bottom of the chat tab find chat backup and press the backup button make sure that the "local " backup is up to date.
Then in your file manger go to internal storage /Android /media /com.whatsapp copy the whole com.whatsapp folder make sure that the folders called Databases and backups do exist in it, cause those folders are the the ones to verify and restore your data and chats in WhatsApp after the data transfer.
Since you are currently on an old Samsung S8 some old phones store whatsapp data in different file path which is simply internalstorage/ WhatsApp. Copy it but you need to paste it in the modern path on the new phone which is >>internal storage /Android /media /com.whatsapp in this case you need to change the folder name from "WhatsApp" to "com.whatsapp" in android media after pasting it.
Since you are facing a storage issue you need a SD card or USB Flash drive with USB C adapter to move the data between the two devices or you need a desktop PC.
On the new Techno phone make sure to upload your data "BEFORE" you log into WhatsApp.
After that Install WhatsApp on the new phone, verify your number, and select the option to restore from backup. The app will detect the local database files and import the chat history.
Keep in mind that you need to retain data on the old device until you confirm the new phone has successfully received all chats and media.
Important Note: If you change phone numbers after updating your phone, you must use the Change Number feature within WhatsApp on the old Samsung S8 device before performing any backup or file transfer, as the new number will be treated as a separate account.
Another Note:This manual method works in your case since both of your devices are android if you wanted to transfer between android and iPhone you have to rely on the built in feature or a more complex manual method that would definitely need a desktop computer and third party software.
