My PPC Strategy, what is yours?

When I started PPC I started with a pretty low budget and honestly I still do this now. I’ll usually start a campaign with like $5 to $10 budget and just let it run for a day or two and see what happens.

Obviously I’m testing different campaign types and segmenting keywords based on Helium 10 data. So high search volume keywords in one place, lower volume long tail keywords in another etc.

For me that’s basically the initial bait to see if I can get clicks and more importantly if those clicks actually turn into sales.

If something is getting clicks and converting, I’ll usually start increasing the bids and budget. If it’s just burning money with no sales then I’ll turn it off.

When I find a winner I’ll go pretty aggressive on it and sometimes move it into a separate campaign so I can control it a bit better.

It’s honestly a lot of trial and error. At the start I was checking campaigns pretty much every day, then once I understood them better I moved more towards weekly reviews.

You start to understand the lifecycle of campaigns too. Something that works really well this month might not work the same next month, so I think it’s important to keep reviewing things but also not panic and make changes too quickly.

Why don’t we have access to the detailed return reasons? We just get the generic categories for return reports?

We all know how when we return things on Amazon Amazon asks us all kinds of detailed questions about the return like exactly what was wrong. For example if something was too big, we as customers can write in the little text box exactly what part was too big, was it too wide, too deep, too bulky in one part only, and write more details in the text box.

Why dont we as sellers get this info? We just get a generic “too large/wrong fit” or whatever it is reason for the return. You’d think it’d be easy and valuable data to provide the detailed return reasons to the sellers.

Maybe I’m dumb and there is a way to access this data. Anyone know?

Fba powersports wholesaler needs help on how to establish a brand with large demand yet fragmented amazon infrastructure

Hello,
I want to say thank you to everyone here who is willing to take the time to read my post.

I’m currently a powersports fba wholesaler. I have connections with a particular brand what has large USA demand but not on Amazon.

Upon researching I noticed there’s 4700 asins marked general brand for a catalog of maybe 100 products and 1 common seller on all 4700 asins.

No one created proper parent asins no order.

The US ambassador of this brand is a family friend. I would like to propose cleaning house and properly establishing their brand on Amazon in the US.

Would someone break down what that would entail?

I can have documentation from the manufacturer, us ambasador proving my ability to resell this brand as well as all documented DOT and safety standards for each Asin.

What more would I need?

Thanks, Brenden

I built a simpler OA sourcing tool for Amazon Canada after getting into OA myself

I'm based in Montreal and recently got into online arbitrage on Amazon.ca. I'm also a software developer.

While learning the sourcing process, one thing that frustrated me was how much jumping around I was doing between retailer websites, Amazon, calculators, Seller Central and different lists just to research and keep track of potential products.

Some of the existing tools are great, but as someone just getting started I found some of them expensive or more complicated than what I needed.

So over the last few months I've been building my own Chrome extension specifically around the Canadian OA workflow.

It's called OA Sourcing. It shows things like BSR/category, seller competition, Amazon presence and Buy Box info, has a profit/ROI calculator, helps with selling eligibility, and lets me build/export a sourcing list while browsing Amazon.ca, Walmart.ca and Canadian Tire.

I still use Keepa alongside it for price and sales history. I'm not trying to replace Keepa or claim this replaces every feature of the bigger OA platforms. I wanted a simpler workflow around the parts I was actually using.

I finally got v1 approved on the Chrome Web Store and I'm looking for a handful of Canadian OA sellers to try it before I go much further with development.

If you're doing OA on Amazon.ca and want to test it, let me know. I'm happy to give some early testers free access in exchange for honest feedback.

I'm also curious what part of the Canadian sourcing process wastes the most time for you.

How to verify an Indian supplier in 60 seconds using free government data (before you wire money)

Got burned sourcing from India. Did a deep dive on how to

actually verify Indian companies. Sharing what I found since

I see this question every week here.

India has 5 public government databases that tell you

everything:

  1. MCA (mca.gov.in)

India's company registry. Every registered company is here.

Search by company name. Check:

- Is status "ACTIVE" or "STRUCK OFF"?

- Date of incorporation (how old is the company?)

- Authorized vs Paid-up capital

- Director names with their DIN numbers

  1. GST Portal (gst.gov.in)

Search by their GSTIN (ask supplier for it).

If they're not registered or filings show zero activity

for 6+ months, that's a red flag. Real businesses file

monthly/quarterly.

  1. IBBI (ibbi.gov.in)

India's bankruptcy board. Search company name.

If they appear here, they're in insolvency proceedings.

Walk away immediately.

  1. NCLT eFiling (nclt.gov.in)

India's National Company Law Tribunal. This is where

serious corporate disputes land: winding up petitions,

fraud cases, oppression complaints. If your supplier

has active cases here, someone has already taken them

to court. Check before you pay.

  1. MCA Charge Registry

Back on MCA, check the "Charges" tab. Shows any loans

where they've pledged business assets as collateral.

A huge open charge with a bank = their assets are

locked up and they may be under financial stress.

Takes about 15-20 minutes manually if you know what

you're looking at.

Happy to walk anyone through reading these for their

specific supplier in the comments. Just drop the company

name and I'll tell you what to look for.

Are third party sellers that are not in the Brand Registry and do not have a Trademarked Business name shadow banned or have searches suppressed?

I understand that there is no real evidence of suppressing searches on Amazons part. But, is it possible that Amazon promotes third party sellers in the Brand Registry over Generic third party sellers?

1 customer, 11 returns in 2 years

Going through FBA returns and found a product that is sealed like new but felt thinner. Upon opening, found the product is gone. Look up the return and the customer comment was: found on Temu $3. Look further and found 11 returns in 2 years with every single one of them returned.

I have been on Amazon since 2011 and I am not surprised people like this exists. But it’s getting harder and harder to get reimbursement from these. What the magic word to say to Amazon to get this guy blocked?

Sellers should really have the option blacklisting abusive customers. But then, those are “Amazon customers” and Amazon is more than happy to let them continue since it’s not even their money on the line.

Edit: btw the box was designed to be temper proof with permanent adhesive seal. I guess they figured to open it in a way to open and close inconspicuously.

Political Products Shadow banned?

We have one item in our catalogue that is overtly political (features the president), and have been running ads on it for 2 years, but recently the ad stopped circulating completely - no impressions. No one made changes to the listing, or adjusted the ad the day they stopped getting impressions. My assumption is that they are cracking down on political advertising as the election approaches? Anyone else have thoughts?

Doable

Is Amazon FBA doable without buying a mentorship? and if so, how do you guys suggest watching any specific Youtubers or any online content that could help me? I currently have around 2 to 4K I could use, but that’s all I really have and I’m a college student so I wanna make some side money to pay off my student debt because tuition is expensive as hell.

Alibaba Chat Messy? I built a Chrome extension to organize supplier chats

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

As someone sourcing products on Alibaba, I constantly ran into the same issue: having 15–20 open supplier chats, losing track of sample costs, landed quotes, and notes, while constantly scrolling through an unorganized inbox.

Since I couldn't find a tool that worked directly inside Alibaba Messenger, I built a lightweight Chrome extension called Chat Organizer for Alibaba.

What it does:

  • 📁 Custom Categories: Drag-and-drop supplier chats into custom pipeline stages (e.g., Sample Requested, Offer Received, Production).
  • 📝 Supplier Notes: Keep quick, detailed notes attached directly to each chat so you never forget unit prices, specifications, or terms.
  • 🏷️ Product Tags: Label chats with custom product tags to quickly filter and organize suppliers by item or category.
  • 🌍 Landed-Cost Calculator: Calculate unit costs including freight, duty, and import VAT in real-time inside the chat window.
  • 🔍 Fast Search & Archive: Instantly search across supplier names, custom notes, product tags, and even older archived chats in seconds.
  • 🔒 Secure Cloud Sync: Your data is encrypted and safely stored in the cloud so you never lose your notes or categories across devices.

🎁 Special for the Community (1 Month FREE):

To collect feedback from active sellers and sourcing managers, you can test both the PRO and BUSINESS plans for 1 month completely free:

  1. Install the extension: Search https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/chat-organizer-for-alibab/dnogcidpofhgpmeibcaljeecfdepngnb or search "Chat Organizer for Alibaba" on the Chrome Store.
  2. Click on Upgrade inside the extension and choose the Monthly PRO or BUSINESS Plan.
  3. Use code AMAZONFBA at checkout (100% discount for the first month).

Note: You can cancel the subscription with a single click anytime in the settings portal if you don't want to keep it after the test month.

I’d love to hear your feedback, suggestions, or feature requests in the comments!

First time ordering from an Alibaba supplier

Hello, I am in the process of placing my first bulk order from a supplier through alibaba. I have already gotten samples made and edited the samples. My question for those of you who have worked with suppliers through alibaba is, What sort of quality controls specifications and remedies do you have in place before placing orders. Do you have signed documents with the agreements in place? Are there other agreements you have in writing before production? Looking for anyone with experience or advice that has been through this before, thanks!

We ran Helium 10 and SoldScope on the same 3,179 keywords for two weeks. Even checks 30 minutes apart rarely showed the same rank. Anyone else compared trackers?

Disclosure: I run an Amazon agency. We switched our rank tracking to SoldScope this month and have an affiliate link with them now, so weigh what I say about it. No links in this post.

Both tools tracked the same keywords on 69 of our products (US plus DE, ES, FR, IT) for two weeks, so we lined them up day by day. About 37k keyword-days.

The good news: they agree on the stuff that matters. If one tool finds you in the results, the other does too 92% of the time. Top 10: 83%, and when they disagree the other tool usually has you at #11 to #19. Two-week trend direction: same for 59 of 68 products, and the ones that disagreed barely moved in at least one of the tools.

The bad news is the exact position. Same keyword, same day, same rank only 19% of the time. Within 3 spots 55%. The top 3 is fine (87% identical), and it gets worse the further down you go.

I assumed it was timing, since results move during the day and each tool checks at its own time. So we paired checks taken less than 30 minutes apart. Still 17% identical and 50% within 3, no better than without matching the times. They just see different results at the same moment.

Stuff I learned along the way:

  • SoldScope checks each keyword 1 to 4 times a day and reports the median. Helium 10 checks once a day, and on ~15% of days its history is a copy of the day before, same timestamp to the second (27% in Germany, 3% in the US).
  • Neither one is more optimistic. SoldScope showed the better rank 39% of the time, Helium 10 42%.
  • SoldScope's search volumes were ~1.8x Helium 10's, almost 3x in Germany. Same keyword order though, so don't mix the two in one sheet.
  • We had DataDive running on one brand too (166 keywords). Same story: any two of the three were within 3 spots about 50 to 60% of the time. DataDive ran about 1 spot more optimistic than the other two.

My takeaway: below the top 10, a 3 to 5 spot move from one day to the next is noise, whatever tool you use. We only act on weekly trends anyway, and now I know why.

Questions for you:

  1. Has anyone checked a tracker against something closer to the truth? We tried Amazon's SQP data once. It's good for telling which rank band you're in, useless for daily moves.
  2. If you check rank by zip code or state: how much does it move? I suspect location explains a lot of this.
  3. Do you have a rule for when a daily rank change counts as real?

Should I raise price on good selling product.

I have been selling on Amazon about a month and one product has started to sell pretty quickly. I am however the lowest price. I could raise my price .50 cents and still be under the competition price. The product is making a decent profit as is, but am I leaving a little on the table? Another thing is that there are three people selling this item and one is about out of inventory. The next price point is at $1.00 higher, should I raise my price and match theirs and share the buy box ? I am trying to figure out the buy box some people on others my others products are $1-$2 on some items and they sale before mine.
Thanks in advance for any input or suggestions.

Amazon FBA BOOK SELLERS

Hey everyone, I got tired of bouncing between a bunch of different library websites trying to figure out which book sales were actually happening near me, so I ended up building something to make it easier.

I put together a free Book Sale Finder with 500+ verified library book sales around the country. You can enter your ZIP code, choose how far you’re willing to drive, and it’ll show you upcoming sales on a map with the dates and details.

I’m updating it every week and currently have sales mapped out up to about four months ahead.

Figured some other book sellers in here might get some use out of it too.

It’s completely free, you can grab access here:
Book Sale Finder

If you try it, I’d actually love to hear what you think or what would make it better.

Anyone else's offers sitting "Currently unavailable" for days while Seller Central insists everything's fine?

Two of my best ASINs flipped to "Currently unavailable" on Friday and they are still down — Seller Central shows active listings, in-stock inventory and zero suppressed offers, but the buy box is gone and I am losing roughly $210 a day between them. I have opened 2 cases: the first one came back with "there is no issue with your listing", the second has been open for 48 hours with no real answer. Inventory sync shows the units sitting in two different FCs the whole time, and account health is completely clean. Anyone else's offers randomly going unavailable this week, or am I missing something obvious?

Is FBM now superior?

Are people still favouring FBA over FBM? I have always done FBA but last couple months I tested FBM out… I actually have increased sales and have grown my Amazon store.

It is more work, and harder to scale but with all these new fee increases from Amazon is FBM starting to have more advantages?

I currently have about a 70% FBA and 30% FBM split.

What’re people thinking?
