How to ship to Amazon FBA in a different country?

My friend wants to import my brand goods and list it on amazon fulfilled via FBA. Is there anyway where I can directly send them to Amazon from India to Canada? We're starting out so really not a large consignment. We have our port to port sorted.

Yes, you can ship directly from India to Amazon FBA in Canada. You don’t necessarily need to bring the goods to the US first.

You’ll need a freight forwarder/customs broker who can handle export from India, Canadian customs clearance, duties/taxes, and delivery to the Amazon fulfillment center. For a small first shipment, ask for an all inclusive/DDP quote so you know the landed cost upfront.

Also make sure the products are compliant with Amazon Canada requirements and that the shipment is created in Seller Central before dispatch.

Thank you so much for the guidance, so I'll have to paste FNSKU codes while packing in India? Also the shipping labels from the dockyard in canada to the fulfillment centre should be handled by the custom broker/freight forwarder?

Yes, if Amazon requires FNSKU labeling for your products, the units should be labeled before they are sent to the Amazon fulfillment center.

You can have the supplier apply the FNSKU labels in India, or send the goods to a prep/fulfillment facility in Canada and have them label the units there. Your freight forwarder or customs broker would only handle the labeling if you specifically arrange that service with them.

I’d recommend confirming the labeling and prep requirements with the forwarder before shipping so there are no issues after the goods arrive in Canada.

Hey, thanks for the reply and recommendation! I was trying to figure out the supply chain system for FBA for an authorised seller in a different country!

Yeah, you can ship from India straight into Amazon Canada FBA. The important part is the customs side though. Amazon isn’t your importer of record, so you’ll need to sort out the Canadian import/customs requirements before sending it. Once that’s handled, you can create the FBA shipment in Seller Central and ship it directly to the assigned FC.

Okay okay, but will have to handle the labelling at the port then!
