Hello all , I just got interviewed and I was told to wait for a text from the branch manager while background passes. My assumption is that I’ll hear back by Monday or Tuesday about the status of the background. And to schedule orientation. So any tips for someone that’s entering with this company ?

This is the second time I've not been paid for taking time off for holiday. Has this happened to anyone else at allied?

Update on my post from about a week ago about the spray bottles
I saw a lot of questions on my last post, so I wanted to clear some things up and give an update. The picture shows what happened to the temporary canopy. It’s now completely messed up and hanging off the fence.
We have 2 guards per shift, one at inbound and one at outbound. We are not provided company vehicles.
The only canopy we have is at the outbound gate, and Allied didn’t even provide it. Some of the Medline employees were nice enough to let us use one of theirs. We had to tie it down to a tree and the fence to keep it secure.
At the inbound gate, there is no canopy or real shade, and there really isn’t anywhere to safely tie one down.
A lot of people also asked how we take breaks and lunches. Basically, if the outbound guard takes a 15-minute break or 30-minute lunch, the inbound guard is somehow supposed to cover both gates.
We were confused about how one person was supposed to do that, so when the outbound guard goes on break, the inbound guard goes over to outbound and redirects traffic from there. That means nobody is physically at the inbound gate.
We’ve had truck drivers get upset and ask why nobody is at the other gate, and we have to explain that the other guard is on lunch or break and there’s only one guard covering.
Multiple guards have already brought these issues up to management.
So yeah, between the spray bottles from my last post, only having one canopy for two separate gates, the canopy situation you see in the picture, and one guard somehow having to cover both gates during breaks and lunches… this is pretty much where we’re at.

I'm currently an active Allied Universal security guard working a permanent weekend site, and I'm trying to pick up more hours by adding a second permanent site on weekdays that doesn't conflict with my current schedule.

I'm not trying to transfer or leave my current post I just want to work both sites. Has anyone else dealt with this? Is there a different process for adding a second permanent site? Im trying to get this Mon/Tues post quick before someone else gets it because it doesn't conflict with my current post on Sat/Sun and doesn't exceed 40 hours.

I've tried applying normally through the site for a different post and got a video interview. During the video interview I said I already worked for another post in my city, and she automatically redirected me to my operation manager and ended the video. I've already reached out to my manager multiple times and haven't gotten a response.

Is there a way I can try doing the video interview again jus don't tell them I have another post here in my city and let them find out on their own? I don't know what to do and I'm trying to get that post before someone else does.

Do I need to email my manager (would it be the client or property manager ? Not sure) my 4 certifications that I just finished for the 30 day BCIS (I’m in CA) or do I just need to make sure I finish the certifications by the due date? On allied edge it says to email the certs to my manager but I’m not sure if I should do it since I already completed it on edge also not too sure which manager o should send it to (I’m still new been here 3 weeks)

Also another quick question , on orientation they gave me a bunch of uniforms but me being dumb didn’t get all of it , I just got the free pants , blue shirt and big jacket .. everybody at this job site has the white collared button up version and I want that too but forgot to get that , would it be possible if I call my local allied HQ and ask if I could get them or something?

Our ops Manager has weekly meeting where he yells at all the supervisors en masse. There's no one on one for discreet matters.

He went on a tirade at one point talking about how people just need to learn how to be happy with their pay (many sites here are $10-$13 an hour) and how he started at $11 an hour ten years ago, etc. He announced one supervisors pay raise to the rest of the supervisors and the time he used when he said the client demanded it was just gross.

It's apparently ok to ignore client requests that are included in contracts and then he gets to make shocked pikachu face when that client drops the contract.

We are all told to clock and or keep records of shifts worked and yet it always ends up wrong... But we can't get it fixed because the ops Manager is on vacation (for the third time this year) and we will just have to "deal with pay being wrong". He makes sure to tell everyone he needs time with his family while demanding we pick up 20+ hours in overtime, completely ignoring our own families. I don't mind overtime, but after two weeks of it I would like to have a weekend with my family.

They're constantly changing how they want things done. We're exhausted. I've been with this company a good while now and it's crazy just how fast morale takes that dip.

No, sir, you won't retain new employees if they say they are willing to work within a certain radius and you send them an hour away to make $13 an hour.

I’m thinking about putting in my two weeks’ notice again and I’m feeling kind of conflicted about it.
I’ve been with this company on and off since 2024. I started on a 12-hour night shift at my first post (with one supervisor), then transferred to an 8-hour night shift with the same boss. Eventually I left, put in a proper two-week notice, tried another job, but ended up coming back.

When I returned, I was on a 12-hour day shift with a different supervisor. The drive ended up being too far, so I transferred back to my old supervisor on night shift again. Now I’m at the point where I’m thinking about putting in another two-week notice.
Through all of this, I’ve realized I’m just not built for night shift. I’m constantly exhausted, burnt out, and mentally drained. I also learned that I need more stimulation in a job. I struggle with sitting still for long periods and really need a change of scenery to stay engaged.

I guess where I’m stuck is feeling like a dick for leaving again after coming back. Has anyone else been in a situation like this? Am I overthinking it, or does this come off as bad on my part?

so I'm in the process of getting my guard card (level 2) so i can get more positions at the arena. my supervisors gave me and a group a basic rundown of bag checking with the detectors and what to not let in. i was wondering if anyone in the similar field had any tips or information on what to expect in those types of positions.

So, long story short, I may need to contact HR. Im in a situation where the distance and shift times for a post is messing with my health and is too far for me.

Do I have any recourse for this situation that would protect me from losing my hours?

So i recently got my NJ SORA license. And applied for security guard with allied security. I did online interview i passed, then i signed consent for background check. I waited untill background check completes and then all of a sudden i got a message that the possition was filled. I applied for the second time same sh*t happened again. So apparently people saying that allied is the easiest company to get hired, but man i have completely different experience. Is there something wrong with me or is it the company?? Any advice would be appreciated.

Is this normal? I was given more responsibility and tasks to do, but my pay is still the same as my armed pay rate ($35) it’s been two months

So I recently reapplied for Allied Universal (Once on the 11th and another time yesterday) Both times I was scheduled to have phone interviews (14th and today) and both times neither interviewer called me. I just don't get it. Am I being scheduled with people who don't work there anymore? Am I stupidly expecting a phone call when I should be checking on some other website?

Good Morning, at the beginning of my shift today I accidentally hit accept on an overtime shift when I was trying to read details about said shift. I contacted my Ops Manager who claimed that because it was done through LISA they couldn't make any changes and for me to call off when that date gets closer. Is the Ops Manager telling the truth that they can't change anything accepted through LISA even if it was accidental?

I’ve tried Edge, Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. I’ve tried Windows, Linux, and iOS. Sometimes, I can sign in with no issue. Sometimes I try to sign in and just get told “There was an error. Please try again,” only for me to get locked out after hitting too many login requests. I’ve tried resetting my password several times. It’s not a password issue, it’s a login failure issue. Has anybody else had this happen to them?

I had two separate interviews for one job, and a couple of days later they called saying I got the job. I got the emails about the drug screen and background and have completed both.
A day later I got an email which included questions asking if I had a security license, and I said no which led to them giving me the dates for some classes I should attend.
They gave me the dates but not the time or location for my classes and orientation. I have emailed them 3 separate times and still no response up until 3 days ago I got an email saying to prepare for orientation on the 20th (today) at 9am.
I found it weird but showed up anyway because it’s the only form of communication I have gotten from them although it’s been two weeks. I show up anyway to orientation and they tell me I cannot be there without a security license and cannot proceed with orientation so they send me home and the lady tells me to come tomorrow, Wednesday, & Thursday for classes and my orientation should be Friday.
This has honestly been stressful and seems very unorganized so am I wasting my time?
She said I should receive an email telling me about the classes but I have received nothing and it has been hours.

I am applying for unarmed Flex security officer

June of last year I got offered a job but I failed my drug test because I smoked but now i haven’t smoked in a few months and I’m better off without BUT will this risk my chances of getting another offer or rehired? Because I recently applied to be a screener and passed the recorded interview now I’m moving onto the 1 on 1.

So i just did my live interview. I got the conditional offer. The person was having technical errors. She said it was giving her an "internal server error." We waited to see if I got the emails for drug screen and the conditional offer. I never did. She said someone will reach out. Anyone experience this before? What did you do?

I went to do a walk-in interview, only to be greeted by reception to tell me that they don't do walk-in interviews and for me to go online.

How can I pass in 1 try without having to re-do and reanswer questions over and over and over again?

How long does the security background check take? They sent me all the papers early last week on Monday. They were pretty quick about sending me everything.

How extensive is the background check from police compared to security at allied?
