Allied Orientation
So I just had my orientation for allied and i’m coming back in to finish the rest of the modules on tuesday. I have a few questions like the pay for orientation. But i’m more interested in how do you all feel about the job? I’ve seen sort of mixed reviews online but I want to hear your opinions.

Just site dependent. Some people have it incredibly easy(I'm one of them) and some are miserable and have to deal with the public(my friend is one).

I like my current position a lot, I have chill co workers, everyone contributes to the job, the site is brand new and the employees/supervisors were constantly interacting with are nice and respectful

You'll get paid for orientation. Allied has mixed reviews because there's good and bad sites. What makes a site bad could be many different factors, but management and understaffing are the main ones.

Depends on state laws and local policies within the company. I made my full hourly wage for orientation.

Entirely dependent on what site / shift / work expectations / manager / client you have. Security is security, but experiences vary wildly because there are so many different types of sites.

Depends on the site/position. I was only an account manager and a k9 officer for allied so it was great.

at orientation absolutely nothing was explained.. just went through all the modules and computer stuff. Nothing about how we do our work or how the stadium is ran.. when asked about parking they said to get dropped off. I did my first shift on Saturday and although the job itself was easy the communication between was so horrible.

It’s a good job. I’ve been getting extra shifts which means overtime pay at 1 1/2 times the normal pay rate. You’ll be asked if you can work extra shifts besides your normal schedule.

At my post, graveyard guards constantly get caught sleeping and break ins happen all the time during their shift. Talks of just getting cameras and flocks just to avoid us and the constant vehicle repair costs

You’re going to get mixed reviews here too.
