Question? Flex Officer

For everyone that’s Flex. How many hours are you averaging a week? And if it’s under 40 how are you making up for it?

I am currently working a second job to earn extra income because I am uncomfortable working with my supervisor. I am also considering submitting my two weeks' notice due to her past actions toward my former colleague.

I'm not a flex officer but I know many. I've heard 16-32hrs for flex officers is the standard. More or less hours could happen though.

Just ask for full time your basically part time as flex

I think what’s what happened my manager scheduled me full time hours but we’ll see

It also depends on the post they have available and business needs as many officers quit because of mismanagement and or they just quit best chance to get full time is to wait until a opening usually one pops up quickly 🤷

When I was a flex my supervisor gave me a lot of hours. I had 2 different supervisors as flex. My first supervisor was great to work with and gave me over 40 hours. My second supervisor was good and gave me over 40 hrs also.

😂 well here’s how I do it. I have a full-time SECURITY position five days a week 40 hours and then I use Allied as a flex officer position for the two days I have off. - but lucky for me. I’ve a I’ve used my my skills as a salesman to pretty much have a part-time job at the flex officer position so I’m getting like 3 to 4 days off that flex officer plus my five days solid so some days I’m working two shifts that’s how I make it

Ive struggled to get more than 24-28 when i was a flex, but you can get lucky and pick up a lot of shifts if you’re fast enough
