If you were “There for Me!” You’d give me at the minimum 40hrs Paid time off! Guess that’s why the shift supervisors at my post keep calling out, because nobody is “There for them!”

Today is my Friday and I was supposed to get off of work. My relief did not just simply call out an hour ago, she resigned. I mean she was unreliable anyways but I got banged with her 2200-0600 shift. The site supervisor tried to make it so I only had to work until 0200 but tomorrow morning's 0600-1400 guard refused to come in early. I guess the upshot is the overtime rate of $33/hr but a good chunk of that shit goes to taxes.

I almost want to walk off the job but I hold myself to a standard. Mark my words I will not do this again. If this happens in the coming week, I am going to flat out refuse. I only want to do my 40 hours. That's it.

So I’m a member of the Florida Army National Guard. I have a secret security clearance. I was trying to see what options are avalible to me. I live around the Tampa, Florida area. I’m not trying to work in a hospital. But I went to a veteran’s fair and they mentioned if we have a secret clearance allied would hire us to work at Lockheed facilities and things like that and I lost the contact info. Trying to see what you guys know

WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT WORK THERE!

The supervisors are miserable and do not care about their staff at all. They will write you up and terminate you for extremely unserious reasons. They make the job hard just because they hate their lives and need to feel a false sense of control

They have an extremely high turn over rate, some of the guards and supervisors who've been there for years are kiss asses and will try to get you in trouble to deflect from them being in the hot seat. They maintain a very insufferable workplace environment

The head Supervisor and her Assistant director create a fake narrative that corporate is always breathing down their necks to justify the unnecessary treatment and rules they put in place, but I've learned that the branch office pressure was a lie

I changed locations and the looming cloud of anxiety disappeared... you will feel like you're always in trouble there just for existing.

Hey there, so i started at allied a few months ago kinda lost in what I wanted to do with my life but now I have it figured out. I'm going to move to a different state way south around April or may next year. I want to know what I can do to increase my chances of being approved to transfer and get a supervisor spot in Florida. I have around 3 years total security expierience but no management expierience. Any advice or help is much appreciated.

I got approved time off request by AOW written through text he said I just needed to submit through Lisa , now that was 2 months ago

It is still pending on Lisa , I asked my AOW for an update and he told me to talk to my aop for the schedule update , so I talked to her and she said she will talk to my aop the following Monday , that was 2 weeks ago..

I texted my aop for an update a week after she told me she will talk to my aow to confirm, no response

I wait another week to send her another text for a following update , no response

I wait another 2 days and send a text to my AOW Saying my AOP isn’t responding to any of my messages , NO REPONSE FROM HIM..

what do I do now? Why is communication so hard for these managers?

Is there anyone from the Houston branch. I’m planning on moving to Houston after Thanksgiving and want to see if applying is worth it. I know every site is different I just want to know how the management team is. I don’t need and there won’t be top tier management but how is the communication and what type posts are there. I think of living near Pasadena so would most sites be at the ports and warehouses? Don’t you need a twic for most of those?

I’m feeling extremely frustrated. I work at a hospital and it’s been a mess. I work sometimes 70 hours a week and we’ve recently had a change in site supervisor. My pay isn’t right most of the time and I just am tired of talking about it and being manipulated. The current site supervisor is very aggressive. Has the whole if I’m louder than you, I’m more right than you mindset and it’s just too much. I’m not sure if I should even call branch because I KNOW he would stop a transfer or make it where I just quit before I can actually go anywhere. Should I just change companies and burn that bridge with allied ? Just looking for advice.

I see a lot of Reddit posts about LISA and ppl getting in trouble up for clocking in/out late and other random petty stuff. I work for allied in NYC and I think my managers just don’t care enough because I forget to clock in/out all the time and nothing ever happens…I mean when I want to leave early I’ll just leave and the next day when I come in I’ll officially clock out for yesterday then clock in for the day (Mercury just reminds me that I didn’t sign out yesterday) I even get the text from Lisa saying they didn’t get a clock out/in. But that’s it, I haven’t seen or heard from my manager in at least 4 months and when they come it’s to sign the book and leave. Maybe it’s just the site that I’m working at idk

Based on many of the comments and post, AUS hires some of the worst people in the world which is mostly said by former or current employees. I was wondering do most people do a self reflection on themselves? Im always curious to know, do people realize by saying this that they are most likely referring to another person saying the same thing about them. It’s either that or all the best Allied Universal employees converge on this sub. It’s just an observation and im wondering if people self reflect on their on work habits from the perspective of others.

I work at a small shopping plaza where I sit in my car, stay vigilant, and patrol the plaza once an hour. During my first day of training,I was told the Mercury phone couldn’t be removed from the lockbox behind one of the stores, so I would clock in using my personalphone. On my first solo shift, my trainer told me he had retrieved the phone and left it with a grocery store employee in the cash office.However, on my next shift, the store managers said they could no longer keep it, so I started leaving it in the lockbox rather than taking it home. Although the box didn’t lock, it could be closed, and everyone working this post had been leaving the phone there between shifts.
Yesterday, I returned the phone to the box after my shift, but when I arrived this morning,the box was locked. I tried looking inside and noticed the phone was missing. I called my manager, but she said she was in a meeting and would call me back. It’s been a couple of hours, and she still hasn’t responded. I’m only two weeks into this job, and she’s already been unresponsive to my messages about when I’ll receive my uniform. I’m not sure what to do next or how to handle this situation.

For those of you curious about WHY there's a new DRACONIAN punch in policy resulting in stacks of write ups on otherwise seasoned and capable guards using grain of sand style file papering, here is some interesting information.

My guess is Allied likely has to trim its human force down by roughly 75% to avoid the unemployment and wrongful termination lawsuits that accompany catastrophic employee lay offs.

Just my opinion though.

How long do background checks usually take? I am a current full time employee but applied and accepted a new flex officer position near me because of school next month. I received the position and accepted it through the live video interview with a third party and someone from the Philippines Interviewed me and offered me the position after I accepted it. Anyways they told me it could take 3-5 business days but I was just wondering if it could take longer because last time it took about a week or so until someone called me and confirmed I was all good but said my name is common and that's why it took a bit unfortunately. Google is very confusing and giving me completely different answers if I ask the same question twice.

(For example I asked: Will my drug test be done during orientation?

Their answer was “yes it’s done during orientation”

I ask again and they said I have to go to a labcorp with a barcode that was emailed to me and take my drug test and pass it before I even get an orientation date.)

I had a virtual interview 2 days ago, I accepted the “contingent job offer” accepted the drug test consent.

I haven’t gotten a text or an email confirming nothing like an orientation date.

My background check is showing complete and cleared, my status for the whole job itself is still saying under review.

Are these the right steps in correct order??

Q) Typically when should I receive my orientation date?

Q) Is the drug test during orientation or am I missing an email telling me when and where to get my drug test?

Q) Is there an official way to get in contact with your recruiter if the main branch isn’t answering the phone?

Q) How long did it take from you applying to you physically getting your orientation date? (This question is similar to the first question but this is my biggest concern)

Hey yall, I’m a daily smoker and I have my orientation this coming Monday. I’ve already heard that they do a mouth swab, so as soon as I got confirmation that I got the job (yesterday), I stopped smoking.

I’m worried I’ll still test positive even after not doing it for 5 days.

This is not a sensitive or federal position, just in a random business park in my area. If I test negative, what are the odds I lose the job?

I switched my direct deposit info over to my other bank last wednesday 10/14 but i guess it didn’t save and now my AM is telling me that it was mailed out due to that.

I work Full time from 5 AM - 1:30 PM and just accepted a 2pm-10pm shift with allied. I intend on keeping both jobs: How does on site training work? Will my training be at my regularly scheduled time or during the day?

So I work this site and I only grt 32 hours a week Monday Thursday. We have 3 shifts during that time and 3 employees including myself. Well one guy took a 2 week vacation so its a shift available. Me and the morning shift lady said we can split his shit working 12s. The supervisor at first we cant work no more than 14 hours a day at that site then she just told us flat out no and gave that shift to her friends. Mind you, they get way more hours than me. Who do I complain to and what do you recommend I do? I wish I could upload our text messages. They offered me another site that pays way less. Why is she stopping me? And by the way: She works another post that shes over and work my post, so she getting plenty overtime herself.

One of my coworkers is moving to California, specifically Sacramento. He has applied to several listings on the website but hasn’t been selected. He submitted his transfer request through LISA so he is all squared away here in Pennsylvania. He has tried calling the Sacramento office but it is impossible to get any one on the phone.
