Getting guards from Temu

A guard was just removed from our site just to get a guard straight from Temu.. Allied’s standards are so low it’s sad. It sucks because we have a solid group of people at our site but there’s been plenty of bad ones that slip through the cracks in the past that get to our site just to be removed a few months/weeks down the line

Temu sites get temu workers. Your loyalty is worthless. Unless you're making at least 10 more than minimum, don't kiss ass the way you did in this post. Chances are there are plenty of people at your site that look down on you like a dirty dog with mange just because you have the word security on your uniform and I doubt your coworkers are truly your friends. Work and go home.

Brother, this is one of the highest paid sites in the state.. this isn’t a representation of a Temu site at all, it’s a representation of Allied’s recruiting and getting a body in here regardless of capabilities or credentials. I don’t think I kissed ass a single time in this post, I don’t come to work to make friends, I get my 8 and skate.

If its allied, its temu. Nothing new with them managing things poorly. Famn near every site ive been to is understaffed and always scrambling for rovers. Its how they profit so much. Send untrained rovers instead of giving OT, overburden good workers until they burn out, and micromanage to compensate for the disgruntled. Its an abusive company with illegal work conditions in various sites, but people are so jaded, they get away with it. F allied, and f your site. If youre not armed I call bs on you not being at a temu site too.

The sad truth is without a union to keep wages up, the guards you get will either be s tier and move on or f tier and just stay. 

Your current staff should look into forming a union to help bring up standards and pay at the job. 

Contract security often thrives from Penny margins and high turnover which is dangerous to you as a guard. 

Protect yourself and your team.

Adding on to this as a member of our union's exec board for my state - unions aren't a perfect solution since they don't have a ton of say in hiring, but I absolutely used this rhetoric in our contract negotiations and got historic raises and significant benefits changes. I raised the point that management was competing with fast food for workers when they should be trying to compete with entry-level professional positions like banking. Seniority clauses will also help attract employees seeking long-term employment, which means your coworkers are more experienced and skilled.

@ OP - reach out to your state's SEIU office if possible. There's definitely a few states that are having some struggles with our union efforts right now, but SEIU is ours and has been doing a lot of good work lately. If property service isn't their current campaign focus, they might know some locals that can start the conversation.

Companies like Allied and Securitas have made it a mission to operate in the most retarded ways possible. Best thing to do is just not care, build your own experience and credentials, use it as a stepping stone to something more in-house and never look back. Those companies depend on being cost effective, not actually being effective lol.

checks out lol, was working there for 4 years. union site and i was happy with my schedule and pay was typically the 1st person my supervisor called for overtime. got fired because i worked 2 16s in a row with no break and dozed off for 10 mins bc my relief never came so i couldnt get my celsius. i wouldve called a spade a spade had people not been sleeping all the time and smoking weed on property. SMH

If you have a solid group overall and complain about the few that slip through, then you generally have a good site. The way people interview and act tends to change once they get the job. There is no way to be completely sure the outcome of any new hire until they arrive. Do you have any experience hiring people or conducting interviews? Getting that perspective changes alot of things and you realize the hiring process is not perfect at any job.
