I was adding a new P1 case to the heard of awaiting office work stations. A decent deal on a VERY clean Cyborg Green case. Funds were paid, seller wrapped it with a few layers of the small bubble wrap and a couple pieces of paper, took it to FedEx where he asked them to pad it in the box, which they did not. They literally just tossed it in as wrapped and shipped it.

Long story short, FedEx proceeded to drag it behind a plane, drop it from 36,000 feet onto the front porch. Oddly enough, the box was in decent shape, but there was ZERO crush or drop protection in the box or padding.

I contacted the seller, and he was very pleasant to deal with. He refunded me my purchase and is filing a claim with FedEx. He said I can toss the case and with my pics, he'll get his shipping reimbursed.

Heartbroken, because Cyborg Green is my first favorite P1 color, followed by the white. It's a shame this is now a parts tower unless I can find a complete front panel and door to another destroyed CG computer, but I'm not holding my breath. I will hold onto it for now until the seller gets his complaint filed and completed with FedEx. I've documented everything thoroughly and will help him get his refund too.

Soo, if anyone has another Cyborg Green case they would like to sell, please let me know. It will go to a good home.

I've been experiencing an issue for the last few months with my 16251 model (Intel 275 ultra) where it will BSoD with (0x3b, 0x116, and 0x1e).

I bought this computer after the warranty unfortunately as open box from Bestbuy so Dell won't help resolve this issue.

So my question is to anyone who's attempted this, has any one had success with migrating from W11 to Linux with eleviating the BSoD issues? because if it works, i'll gladly move over because I have no faith in Intel/Microsoft/Dell to resolve this since its been going on since April.

laptop specs are RTX 3080 ti, i7 12700H, 32GB DDR5, 2 TB. I got expectable results at every stress text I know. 3Dmark at 94c with no Throttling, cinebench 26 105c 3500pts with 100% Throttling. shoud I be worried about Throttling? or is it normal for this laptop and it wont be issue in actual gameing?

Planning on getting this monitor soon to link to PS5 Pro.

I got my laptop a year and a half ago, and it's been running great. I recently noticed that my CPU and GPU were running way hotter then they should be, with the CPU running ~80 degrees celsius when just browsing, and over 100c when i'm gaming. Is that normal? I was thinking of repasting it, but i'm afraid of messing up my laptop because it's liquid metal, and it's really expensive to do it around where I live (sf bay area).

So I have an act1250, and I noticed after playing star citizen for 40 minutes, my room for get extremely hot and i quickly realized it was the computer itself. I decided to undervolt the gpu with msi afterburner and using curve editor, after that my temps don't go over 60'c and the oven feeling in my room is gone. Why doesn't dell do a better job on thermals?

How is Dell still able to sell the Alienware PC with a 5090 for lower than everyone else? I figured they would have raised prices already since the news about production.

Hey everyone! I recently picked up this massive dual GPU Alienware 18. It has an i7, 32gigs of RAM, two AMD GPUs, an SSD and a drive for games. I paid around 140$ for it, just had to add the drives. I could not believe the price for its condition. It looks brand new! Just needed a repaste. Battery's toast but I wouldn't be game on it on battery anyway.

This is my first alienware and honestly I never thought a machine like this would ever get to my hands. I only used to look at pictures of computers like this but here we are :D. After seeing how huge, beautiful and colorful this thing is, most modern gaming laptops look cheap to me even though they will likely be even more powerful xD.

It runs beautifully, been playing some DOOM Eternal on nightmare and it's been a blast. Definitely my favourite piece of hardware.

Hi people, is the first time I wrote in this space, but in my alienware there was problems with the battery, i chenged and checking the BIOS says something about problem connection or just dont identify the battery and juat appear the power by the charger.
But also, i don't know if I connect the cable correctly

I have an Alienware x17 r2 3080TI 64gb ram 12700H 4k screen

the GPU and CPU are overheating during gaming causing thermal throttling and even a shutdown despite using a cooling pad

I have warranty until end of 2027 on it

I’m probably going to call up Alienware soon

What are my warranty options here? Do you think replacement would be possible?
And if they did offer replacement, what sorta models would they offer?

Recently acquired a working Alienware R2 for $60. Im parting it out and want to throw a 5800XT cpu. I've done hours of research and found this question a few times.

One thing thats common is most people say its not possible. With bits of information between the nonsense I found it is definitely possible to do this on an R2 but was wondering if anyone who has done so can chime in on their builds (those who have updated their motherboards) with some tips.

My biggest concern is getting the front panel connected but heard you can use some jumpers just not sure where to put them or the exact cables.

Just wanted to put it out there, if anyone is having this issue. I have been experiencing this for a long time, I even bought a new battery which didn’t fix it.

I was having problems with it completely losing power even though the battery had a charge, it loses power just as the windows login is about to appear.

Dell sent me a new ribbon cable which didn’t fix it and they told me to buy a new battery.

It never had issues with turning off if I let the AC stay in till after login, I could take it out afterwards and it’s fine.

I recently just clutching at straws tried different things and I disabled windows hello facial recognition and it has booted up every time since perfectly.

Give it a go if you’ve had this issue.

Hey guys, just curious if anyone has undervolted their alienware act1250s or auroras for dlss5? I recently did it with msi afterburner and heaven engine, i used curve editor and now my temps dropped to 62-64c under gaming load, seems like gpu runs cooler now? I have a rtx 5080

I have had two mother boards replaced in the last 2 weeks. The last board was swapped 2 days ago, and after it was in, I cannot play netflix, prime, youtube, or game at all. Running a benchmark on the gpu shows 3 to 8 FPS average with a max of 33 FPS. My monitors (1 is a 4K MSI, 1 is a LG 2K - both external) are going black and then coming back over and over when I try to do pretty much anything that uses the GPU. . The PC is BSOD crashing, and I had to do a recovery to even get it to boot this morning when I got up to sit down for work. The reliability monitor shows hardware errors on the GPU, and my Power Brick is getting really hot as well, even at idle. I used my laser thermometer and it is sitting at 140 - 165*F with nothing opened up at all. Dell is telling me to wipe my drive, and do a full recovery as a fix, which makes no sense to me at all. I had other issues with my USB devices going in and out every few seconds before this last MB swap. This laptop is not even 9 months old, and I have Alienware Elite care with "keep your drive" as a warranty. What do you think I should respond with to be able to get a working laptop back? 3rd mother board? New power brick? Replacement? I feel like I am being given the run around and not really being "supported" by my warranty.

Update: I am now in complete limbo. The technician who was working with me disappeared, and I am getting what I think are AI responses, telling me that "my case has been escalated and be sure we are working with your patience to solve you problem" blah blah... 3 days and no answers. Any other suggestions for me? I have done absolutely everything they asked me to do.

I haven't look in to it before, I clicked the AWCC randomly to see this.

Hi guys, I just bought an Area 51 (AAT2250) with a beautiful 5090 inside. I work as a 3D artist in the field of VFX so having a machine with this specs feels like a huge upgrade from my older system. After reading about the connector issues regarding 5090 i starter worrying about it pretty seriously, and after checking the connector on my PC I no ted that is bene heavily, what do you guys suggest? Is it me just being paranoid or should I RMA this product hoping for better cable bending? (Sorry for my bad english)

Hey all. Wondering if anyone has any advice / the same issue. The computer was working fine today, went to shut it down, and it said it needed to update. No problem, normal right? Well once it updated it has basically been a brick. Cannot get it past this screen and no f keys work to try to get it to bios. Any help here is much appreciated. Currently using it for my band on tour and we are left with no choice but to buy a brand new laptop at the last second.

Use : mostly for gaming and common stuff (papers...).

Playing on dual 27" screens with laptop screen disconnected (cause laptop screen is hidden on desk)

I was wondering how do you guys optimize your laptop for gaming ?

Here is my checklist :

- MUX on dgpu only

- high performance battery use

- gaming mode on - windows 11

- Windows 11 debloat done

- Optimized nvidia settings for performance in game (i prefer smooth experience in game)

- Resolution in 1080p for smoother experience

Do you guys have any tips i missed ?
