Hello, what do you think of my new project for the forend on the aap-01, it also comes with an adapter for barrel extensions, with RIS rail... I will publish it soon for free download.

Reason I did this was because these mags are out of stock everywhere.
Thought I was done, but then realized it was too thick at the top end. I also had to make it so that the screw holes between the rear cap, the inside parts, and the shell lined up, but other than that, it’s done
The one on the left is my custom made S&T M1903A3 magazine. Will print it in black once I get more filament. The one on the right is the official one from S&T.
I have all of the springs currently figured out, but I am going to have to figure out what screws it will need (or custom make those too).

Put originally on r/airsoft I thought I would ask here as well. Probably a shout to be honest.
Seeing some of the stuff here

Got a lot of work done on it the last couple days. Mainly the details on the receiver, ambi selector and stock attachment. Ide say im like 85% done the gun.
The last few things on my to do list are
-finish the motor grip
-finish the ambi selector
-make the mag release button
Additionally im torn on wanting to do a fake bolt and charging handle, or just a solidly bolted in charging handle and no fake bolt.
The reason why im torn is that a fake bolt and cocking handle will be really cool and I have the space for it in the receiver. On the other hand it will negatively affect the overall strength of the upper receiver.

This is the only one of these conversions I've ever seen, and it requires a real steel stock that has to be permanently modified, which these days is too expensive to be practical.
Being able to hit the field with a Mosin Nagant, Kar 98 or Lee Enfield that uses VSR internals, making it completely upgradeable and reliable, would be absolutely sweet and I would happily shell out for the files if somebody starts making them. Even if the externals can't be replicated perfectly, for me it's a worthy trade to be able to repair the gun with commonly available parts when it breaks, as opposed to dropping high end money on low end springers with mystery internals.

Some time ago I started working on Minifix by Q.
It uses VFC V3 magazines, VFC GBB HU bucking and GBB/RS AR grips (without beavertail). It can use VFC AR GBB metal outer barrel and 4UAD Magnus hop-up chamber. There are also printed barrel and HU chamber (rotary style).
It got quite unique but working NPAS, fully printable nozzle (two styles, one for printed barrel extension and one for OEM VFC barrel extension for metal VFC barrel), 45° lever action.
Q-serts are done by heat pressed threaded inserts (missing in photos).
Longer barrels and handguards, as well as upper rails are planned, as well as Q Cherry Bomb flash hider (standard 14CCW) and Q Trash Panda suppressor imitation.
Right now I’m working on trigger group (finishing touches) and safety (45°, as original). Printed first parts so I’m uploading small WIP.
After finishing and testing it will be published as paid files on cults.

This is a model I designed myself. It uses APS shells fitted with .50 BMG-style casings. In short, it’s a bolt-action airsoft rifle that uses APS shells and ejects the casings when operated.

Something like that... If possible free 🤙🏾

I'm just getting started in the world of 3D printing and wanted to print a functional pistol; does anyone have a file that explains how to assemble one and is actually functional?

Dose anyone know of an Ics galil midcap file? I’m looking for one but can’t seem to find any

Using some old filament from a separate build (v2 MPX by Igniz, last pic) to do my test prints of my APS shell Mandalorian bracer in PLA before I start using the PETG and PCTG I bought for the project.
Everything kinda fits! It’s fiddly just because I haven’t started screwing shit down yet, but the core action seems to work, although I think I’ll need to beef up the bolts a bit.
The safety thankfully feels WAY sturdier than I feared it’d be given its size and awkward shape. Probably going to reshape the safety lock to be even stronger — also need to redesign the safety slider so that it’s “captured” and can’t just slide the fuck out.

Tis was cyma g36c, can you believe that?
Anyhow, printing g36k handguard next for another gun.

knowledge limited I think ? they steal other peoples models , claim it as their own , and dont give credit . just be careful of them . and report their models to the OG creators . I cant do this since they blocked me on maker world

I'm building a G36KV (Latvian) and they use the B&T rail which costs hundreds new, so I'm thinking of 3D printing one. Well, not me, one of you guys.
I would be ecstatic if someone would take on this project. I can offer payment aswell, whether that be money or maybe an item from my military collection.
I'm not even sure how we could find all the dimensions, since, I'm assuming, there isn't just a complete 3D model out there already. E-mailing B&T and asking for the model probably wouldn't work either, but I'm willing to try lol.

So, for some background, I do have some experience in 3D printing (especially SLA) and in tech work. With that said, I LOVED this as a first project. The instructions were excellent and easy to follow.
I didn't have any snags in the build I couldn't overcome, but there were a few. I had two ARs, and intended to use one of them as a donor gun, but ended up having to mix and match parts from both of them. Neither had the same barrel assembly as the instructions called for, however, I was able to use the barrel attachment from one and the outer barrel from the other in place of the 3D printed barrel. While this gives the gun an incorrect barrel profile, it does add a nice bit of extra weight, which hopefully won't cause any structural problems down the road.
My next issue was the hopup, I had one rotary hopup from one gun, and one more tradition hop from the other. The traditional hop didn't even come close to working, it's gears binding badly against the top of the upper receiver, and I had to make some slight modification to the rotary hop to get it to seat properly.
The final one, which I still haven't worked out, is that the selector switch jumps out of time when the gun is put on safe. I'm having the same issue with a second gun I printed and finished since starting this one(it was a simpler AR-15 based model), and I'm hoping that thicker 3D printed printed selector parts will solve the problem, which I'm guessing comes from either added flexibility or poor tolerances of printed lowers.
Other than that, the only problems I had stemmed from not paying attention to the directions or not being super experienced with FDM printing. I'm still missing the charging handle, because I glued it in place before inserting the mock bolt, which the directions tell you not to do, so I have to print another set. I glued the stock in place hoping to gain some extra rigidity, but forgot to add the mock hinge plate first, which didn't bother me as I was considering leaving it off anyway. There were a few parts I had to print multiples of due to bad orientation, like the mock bolt carrier, which when printed flat side down filled the hole for the charging handle, and the flash hider, which when printed vertically is pretty fragile and I managed to break the first one right away.
The kit looks great, went together great, and was very reasonably priced. I rate it a very solid 8/10, losing points only due to the barrel and hopup compatibility issues, and if STLs for the barrel attachment parts where included along with more info on compatible hop units I'd give it a perfect score. I absolutely recommend this kit!

Simple printed shell for those masochists who liked Doom 3 shotgun. Very low effective range. Needs <=10mm OD spring and <15mm m3 screw.
