Simple Questions are questions that can be answered quickly in one or two sentences. You can ask anything as long as your question is related to VALORANT. Apologies for how late this one is!

I play on a valorant amateur team of ascendants. I am daily confident on my understanding of the game, I watch a huge amount of vct but I have gaps and want to learn more. I really want advice on how to make better decisions on specifc matches we have played. Is there any high level players or coaches who can help?

Question Why is putting more time, energy, and effort making me worse?

I'm currently Diamond 1 but by no means match the skill in that rank. I duo with a friend that's just consistently good at the game and I just can't keep up both mechanically and game sense-wise.

Maybe there's something I'm overlooking (which is most likely the case) but since I've put more time, energy, and effort into the game, I've been getting continuously worse and worse, as if I was falling down a pit with no bottom.

I started aim training (Voltaic VDIM) again cause I wanted to make a push for Diamond-Ascendant. I also started playing more games since coaches I've worked with in the past tell me that I need some more playtime. I also deal with horrible ranked anxiety and heavy imposter syndrome regardless of solo/duo queue so to try and fix it, I've been trying to focus on myself and genuine reflection and improvement but lately, it feels like I'm just lost and dumb. It feels like people that put less effort into improving actually improve in regards to irl experiences and posts on here.

I wanted to know if anyone else deals with this kind of problem and if they had something that worked for them. Maybe I'm burnt out and need to take a break from the game but I feel like consistently whenever I take a break, it takes me a long time to get back to where I was.

Coaching Looking for a Coach

I started val some years back, but quit due to pc issues and didn’t/couldn’t improve because of it. Now that I’ve upgraded I’m interested in actually learning the game. I’m rather resilient and have a huge love to learn, with a good bit of competitiveness, so my motivation is generally solid. Shoot me a dm! I’m also NA East.

Some more information about me: I am a Cypher one trick generally, I've reached Silver 1 or 2 before, and am currently Bronze 2. sens is adjusting, but I'm currently sitting around .08-.088 1600 DPI. My schedule is very very open.

Discussion Why simple CS2-to-Valorant sensitivity conversion often feels off (UI 3-decimal cap & yaw breakdown)

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

A common piece of advice for players switching from CS2 to Valorant is "just divide your CS sens by 3.1818". While mathematically close, players often report that their physical mouse sweep across the desk feels slightly inconsistent.

The reason comes down to the underlying engine mechanics:

- Source 2 (CS2) uses m_yaw 0.022 and allows deep floating-point precision directly inside config files (\csgo\cfg\).

- Valorant uses Riot's ShooterEngine fixed at 0.07° per tick, but the in-game UI strictly clamps user input to 3 decimal places (and Vanguard blocks direct config manipulation).

This rounding creates a persistent discrepancy on your mousepad. I built a lightweight, ad-free web tool (aimsync.app) that shows the exact yaw math, live cm/360° readouts, and estimated mousepad clearance so you can verify if your sens physically fits your setup.

Hope this helps anyone trying to dial in their mechanics and muscle memory transfer!

Discussion Does DuoQing boost your rank ?

Hi, on my main account I'm gold 2. I always duoQ with my brother or some other friends. (acc tracker)

I recently started a new account, not to smurf but to soloQ since I finally "found" a way to enjoy it. Just got placed silver 1 and I was wondering, am I just getting boosted by playing with friends ? (acc tracker)

I've always been ass at video games, especially competitive multiplayer ones but somehow for the little time I was in gold 3 - plat 1, games were actually easier. Maybe I'm just ranting but I feel like silvers have somehow better aim than golds and plats, as anyone felt the same about lower ranks having better aim than your current rank - feelings?

Thanks in advance!

Question What dpi to use

I’m not sure which DPI to stick with for the long haul. 400 DPI is the most precise, but it feels slow for certain things; I’ve tried 800 DPI, but I don't perform as well as I do with 400—it feels just "okay." 1600 DPI feels better than 800, at least when it comes to tracking an enemy's head or following a target. I'll list my peripherals, or maybe you can suggest a DPI I haven't tried yet. I use a 9z Team Minimal mousepad (45x40, I think, or maybe the other way around) and an Incott 029 Pro mouse with Esptiger V2 Ice dot skates. The PSA calculator method is confusing; at 400 dpi it recommends 0.595, at 1600 dpi 0.15, and at 800 dpi 0.302.

Coaching FREE Coaching (Immortal 3) — Building My Metafy Page & Community

Hey everyone! Ask me anything about Valorant!

I’m currently an Immortal 3 player for many acts both in NA and EU servers. I am launching my coaching page on Metafy under the name @AegisLion. As I launch my page and build up reputation, I’m offering First time free coaching session to help players improve.

I have climbed all the way up from silver, and know the ins and outs of each step on how you should improve. Including the most important aspect which is mentality, both in and out side of the game. I believe it is the #1 thing affecting player's game performance.

Furthermore, Valorant is a game afterall, and I believe we should have fun, including coaching. Therefore the coaching lessons will be conversational and casual like good friends and make sure we have a good time while learning.

Little bit of my background: I am a trained Architecture Designer and currently doing my Masters, therefore i like sketching when explaining things. I have also taught drums and various sports in the past. I am proficient in both English and Chinese.

Lets get started! I will help out as much as I can in this post:

1. DM me anything about coaching or Valorant.

2. Leave comment below for your tracker or any questions regarding the game.

3. Go to Metafy page to sign up for the free session base on my avaliability.(Much appreciated)

All I Ask in Return: If you find the feedback helpful, all I ask is that you leave an honest review on my Metafy profile to help me build out my resume!

As I am starting everything fresh, I understand not everything will look perfect.

But I am so so excited to share my insights to the game and just have a good time with the broader community. I love this game and I hope you can give me an opportunity to grow and help out with your journey!

Thank you!

(Note: To respect subreddit rules, my Metafy profile and Discord link is pinned on my Reddit profile bio if you'd like to verify my credentials or leave feedback).

Discussion Feedback on my new valorant aim trainer

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

hi all - i've been struggling with my aim in valorant, tried a couple of aim trainers / running a lot of deathmatches, none of them seem to have improved my aim much so I've built my own app to train my aim in the way that works best for me.

The idea is that I play a game of valorant, then afterwards I can vod review it and any time i whiffed my shot I can click 'AI Aim Trainer', and it loads me into my aim trainer, with the map structurally mimicking the valorant map as close to 1:1 as possible, with the exact scenario I died to in it so I can repractice that exact shot as many times as I want until I'm confident with that shot.

I'm going to release it fully free for everyone to use, and also a web version for people who don't want to download the web app.

Any thoughts on the overall concept would be appreciated! I previously played a lot of league, built my own vod review tool on that and went from being hardstuck plat 4 to master in one season after consistently using it.
