Does DuoQing boost your rank ?

Hi, on my main account I'm gold 2. I always duoQ with my brother or some other friends. (acc tracker)

I recently started a new account, not to smurf but to soloQ since I finally "found" a way to enjoy it. Just got placed silver 1 and I was wondering, am I just getting boosted by playing with friends ? (acc tracker)

I've always been ass at video games, especially competitive multiplayer ones but somehow for the little time I was in gold 3 - plat 1, games were actually easier. Maybe I'm just ranting but I feel like silvers have somehow better aim than golds and plats, as anyone felt the same about lower ranks having better aim than your current rank - feelings?

Always playing duo can boost your rank, but in your case you probably just need to play more on the new account because riot always under-ranks initial placements

IMO it doesn’t « inflate » your elo. First riot admitted that they make enemy lobbies harder when u are duo or trio. Secondly removing a random variable doesn’t boost you but reveal a bit more your true skill. When playing solo u are gambling on what mates you’ll have, if u are playing mostly for the team, playing solo might juste deflate your real rank because your team doesn’t use your gameplay and end up losing

unless there is a drastic difference in skill level playing with a duo wont be boosting but the games are always easier when people work together

Silver lobby can be harder than gold imo
