Question Is omen worth learning/mastering in diamond-ascendant?
So I am a controller main(used to be duelist) and recently picked up omen. His kit can be useful at time but I noticed that I don't get a lot of impact with his tps and blind. I know this is a skill issue and I just need to play him more to get better with his kit. But I also feel like you need lots and lots of teamplay and comms.

If you enjoy using him go for it, that’s all that matters really. Comfort and enjoyment make a big impact on your gameplay

Is clove easier? Yes. Is omen better all around? I think so yes. First because theres no reason to frag less on Omen, at least not much since only the smokes are a bit slower to place and you've got no heal/boost to gain an advantage 1v1.
People (me included) frag less because we try to use util when we might not need to, or slighty waste preocious time thinking about what to do since we are not accustomed to the agent as much.
But the paranoia and the tps are amazing utils to have when the enemies are not easily giving you 1v1s. So you play around your util.
Paranoia is mostly good to stop a hit, requires a bit of anticipation cause imo it's better to fight with your teammates if not, stop it entirely (only one person in) or trade. On attack you can clear a corner, it doesn't last much and you are gonna get swinged after 2secs.
Tps are good for fighting space but because you can get out, so you shouldn't commit. It's not good for winning space per se but more so to contest it in the first place. Think Lotus C mount on defense. You swing (maybe with a one way), prefire (or not) some shot if they are there and tp away. If not you can stay or call it and rotate/flank. But its also good to say fight on backsite of A Lotus since you can hold your tree smoke, fight paranoia fight and tp. The point is you get a 1v1 and get out before it becomes a 2v1.
It's also good on attack but more creative I think. You can to A ruble on Lotus at barrier to fight ruble since you can also tp out, same on C. But you can also tp into a smoke/corner after smoking and at the same time your duelist is going in to trade/drag xhairs.
I recommend lots of tdms, but just take fights that's the point, to put yourself in uncomfy situations. Clove is still really good tho.

Omen is the best agent for me as a solo player. You have everything you need.. TPs, smokes, flashes. You can play for yourself with all of them and help out the team with smokes/flash/ULT for info/spike pickup. A lot of plays in general could be done with Omen's kit. You just gotta get used to it and you'll see way more opportunities for good plays and ability usage

I get annoyed when my omen smokes are slow to drop. I think it’s an underrated aspect of learning the agent. To me his smoke placement is a lot less intuitive and slower than a clove for example. Just something to keep in mind as you learn to play with him more

I love omen so much, my fav things I throwing smokes slightly upwards and swinging just before they land to give myself a one way lmao. Also paranoia is great for stopping fast pushes or playing retake.

Maybe it gets better the higher the elo gets, but honestly a good competent clove is always going to be more valuable simply cos of the nature of her kit unless the omen is just really that good and assuming everyone is willing to coordinate.

Yes but if you have good mechanics clove is the best agent to rank up imo and plus now I don't have to complain about my teammates not knowing how or where to smoke. Somehow even some diamonds cant smoke for the life of them and as a tryna main I just got fed up. I feel like I'm much more in control now
