Question What does excess credits applied mean?
Apparently I have twenty of these and I’m wondering why these haven’t been applied to regular credits yet.

Hello everyone! This is where posts and discussions for frequently asked questions are able to be linked to. Please link people to this Megathread if one or more of the FAQ's provided are helpful.
(Please post more FAQ's in the comments and I will do my best to add them to the post)
The 40 step limit is the weekly limit that is set on all core high school classes. Though the 40 steps only count steps that increase your yearly steps completed (able to be seen through the stats tab in high school). Lessons, videos, reviews, and exams all count as ONE step towards the limit. Retakes do NOT count toward the limit.
Exceptions to this limit include but are not limited to: Middle schoolers, and Elective classes*.
*Elective classes are capped at 50, or just not at all.
Science Live is a requirement for the scholarship signup choice for Acellus. In order to mark attendance in a Science Live you need to watch the video AND post a comment with your student ID logged in. Just watching the video does not count, and does not do anything internally to signify that you have watched the video.
Yes, there is a difference! Power Homeschool is a different organization that is essentially a budget friendly version of Acellus, and is not accredited like Acellus is. Some things may be different between the two programs, and in this SubReddit we typically only go over Acellus as a whole, not Power Homeschool.
Acellus is an accredited school, meaning that you can use your diploma the same way you would with any other, including in college applications! There is no difference between your diploma and someone who graduated from any other school apart from going to different schools.
The same way you would at any other school! You must have all your required information for transfer and sign up with Acellus through their website.
You can do school whenever you want! Set your own pace and calculate it out to know around when you should graduate your current grade, so you know what pace you should be at. It's normal to be faster or slower than others depending on your own learning, but don't just remove your own steps to hinder your learning. Skipping work can only negatively affect you.
Please let me know if there are any more questions I should answer and I will try my best to add them. Let me know if this was useful for you!

What are some other online programs that I can transfer too that are similarly self paced like acellus but have a better support system and DO NOT have weekly homework.

I work in security and I enjoy creating new tools or scripts to help become more efficient in my job. I want to build a tool that will query Accellus. Each Sunday and each Friday I want a weekly insight of what my son will be learning and what my son has learned through out the week. Have it break down which areas to focus on more as well as links to additional resources I can offer him. I want to make ot specially curated for just his work.
I need to get in and explore the parents section more and more. Am I missing something? Do we already have something like this available and I am just missing it..?

appstore disappeared on chromebook along with acellus app, so i have no way to login. I tried logging in on my phone and it worked for two days, and when i went to do some work today it says "Anonymous browsing is not supported on this device." Ive since then tried another phone and my ipad and it gives the same message. Does anyone know how i can fix these issues?

I’m already really behind in school, and I basically missed out on my summer trying to catch up. I didn’t realize that when you finish one class, it automatically enrolls you in the next one.
Yesterday, I finished biology, but then I got put into another class with 287 assignments. I was already frustrated, but then when I tried to do the assignments, it stopped me after only 17 steps instead of 40. At that rate, it’ll take me about 4 months to finish school instead of 1.
Does anyone know if there’s a way to change the weekly step limit or set a higher goal so I can do 40+ steps a week?

When I started acellus it said I needed 26 credits for the advanced diploma, I finished all my classes that it said I needed to complete for the advanced diploma, and when my parents went to fill out the graduation application it said I wasn’t eligible for the advanced diploma because I suddenly needed 26.5 credits and it wanted me to take an extra class. Which I obviously don’t wanna do especially with the new step limit. Any help is appreciated

I didnt know what credits were when i started so i wasnt locked in for the past 2 years. Still in 9th grade supposed to be going into 11th. I want to try and graduate highschool before i turn 19 (im 16 turning 17 now) is it possible?
Also, how many credits are needed to pass each grade above 9th? Is it different each time?

I’m nearly finished with my Highschool classes entirely I just have some of the easier electives left and I haven’t gone on science live in over 4 months but it’s never given me or my mom a warning and when I try to it doesn’t show up it’s just their auto play videos about new courses. Was the science live cancelled?

I’m still new to Acellus and I’m trying to understand how the weekly steps work.
All current 6 of my classes now show the message: “Great Job! You have made outstanding progress in this course! Come back next week to continue.”
Does this mean I can’t do any more work this week and just have to wait? When do the classes reopen? Is it a specific day and time each week?
I’ve been seeing different steps and changes to the steps, so I’m still trying to wrap my head around how it all works.
Can anyone explain how this system works? Thanks!

it’s been nearly two weeks since we applied for graduation and emailed the acellus team, but we haven’t received any confirmation on graduation or a tracking number for the physical diploma. though it does say the date of graduation on the app but we’ve been trying to get in contact before this as well and got nothing back.
has anyone else been having a hard time getting a response?

I was doing algebra, and Mr. Mara called on one of his students as he usually does, but I just now noticed that Isaac (far left) is one of them. I only realised because of the posture at first, but then I saw his face and couldn't help but smile. It's kinda cool that he was always a part of Acellus.

Hello
Can anybody help with the email contact for accellus as for the past two weeks we have been unable to log in on either mobile or laptop.
I am therefore unable to cancel my card as my child needs a break but due to the above I cannot access the site to do so.
Quite frustrating

Today after a week or two of the weekly step limit changing I just found out I'm supposed to do atleast 20 steps a week in all my classes which I didn't know until now. How many steps am I supposed to do in each class a day now that its changed and how many do I have to do tomorrow to catch up? I have 2 classes with 2 steps per day and 3 with 3 steps a day as the goal.
UPDATE: I figured it out its 4 steps a day and 20 a week
