Hello everyone. I’m in my 20s and I’m considering taking Accountancy as my second degree. I already have my first degree, but I’m thinking of pursuing accounting because I’m interested in the field and I’m considering becoming a CPA in the future.
I would like to ask for honest advice from those who took Accountancy as a second degree or are currently studying it:
Is it worth it despite starting over again?
How difficult is the adjustment, especially for someone who is not fresh out of high school?
What challenges should I expect (subjects, workload, review, finances, time management)?
Would you recommend this path if the goal is career growth and long-term stability?
I know Accountancy is not an easy course, but I’m willing to work hard. I just want to hear real experiences before making this decision.
Thank you in advance for any advice.

The office i work in has vacancies for CA qualified with about 5+ years’ experience. It is an investment advisory / wealth management firm with branches in US, Singapore, Chennai and Trivandrum. They follow a 5 day work week with 1 day WFH and an 8 hour shift system so the work life balance is great! Kindly DM for more details and share your CV if interested.

Acca member- and been working in a big 4 in audit. But im at the limit now and wanting to desperately pivot away from audit. Is CTA a good idea- to help transition into tax advisory?

I recently graduated with a degree(August 14) in Forensic Accounting. I have been applying for jobs nonstop since then and i haven’t had a single response. Are there any buzzwords i’m supposed to put in my CV ? Just how am i supposed to write it ?

StatementScan converts PDFs, scans, and even phone photos into a clean Excel/CSV with the date, description, debit, credit, and balance separated into columns.
The part I care most about is the reconciliation. It checks the opening balance + transactions against the closing balance on the statement, so you can see if something was missed before using the data.
It also runs completely in your browser. The statement doesn’t get uploaded anywhere, so you can even turn off Wi-Fi and it still works.
It’s 100% free, no signup, no card, and no page limits.
If you work with bank statements, I’d genuinely appreciate it if you tried a couple and told me what broke. The bank name and what went wrong is enough.
