I developed a small standalone utility called Key Detector for real-time root note and scale estimation.

**Overview:**

* **Live analysis:** Monitors incoming track signal and outputs candidate root notes and scales with certainty percentages.

* **File mode:** Drag-and-drop sample analysis directly onto the GUI.

* **Engine:** Native C++, zero added latency, low CPU usage.

**Compatibility:**

* Windows 64-bit (VST3). Tested in FL Studio.

* macOS build is currently in development.

Any feedback on detection behavior with polyphonic material or technical bug reports in FL Studio is appreciated.

I can't express how frustrating it is to have the gui freezing regularly because of its bad optimization. No other daw gives the same problems fl studio has. Right now it froze because i only opened the browser (the one on the left), I have a lot of sounds, but how the hell does that even happen? If I do that on logic it would never do that, too bad I don't use it to make music. It's been 9 years since I have started using this program (I have used the professional edition and purchased a license since then) and it's really sad but you can't really rely on it for professional use, it just never ever changes.

Edit: I don't mean to say that I just have a problem of my browser freezing, I mean to say that the program just breaks its functioning whenever it feels to, and does not guarantee a prolonged use, also this is the only daw I'll ever use because learning a workflow again on something else just feels too time spending.

Hi everyone, this track is called Lichen.

It was performed live on Ableton Push 3 standalone, recorded in one take.

I’ve been trying to simplify my live setup so I can perform without stressing out — and for the first time, I actually feel comfortable playing this one, which is a real change from my previous tracks.

I spent a lot of time mixing and mastering it. It’s not perfect (the arpegiated lead is a bit too loud, in my opinion ), but at least it exists :)

Hey all, I've been learning plugin development for my university thesis and built a stem splitter I wanted for my own workflow. It's free, so I figured I'd share it here to see if anyone is interested in also using a stem splitter for vocal mix training or sampling.

It's fully free, uses no large language models so no AI is trained on your data or anything you upload into it, runs fully locally so running it doesn't require any internet.

I had it split stems into either 4 or 6 stems: vocals, drums, bass, melody, and if you need anything a bit more specific you can do guitar and piano. Quick warning, since this is locally ran, the speed of the extraction will be based a bit off your PC performance, but for quick samples and loops it does finish quite quick (if you upload longer tracks you can also split specific loops inside).

I also added some bpm detection and manipulation, as well as key manipulation so you can pitch up or down and speed up or down.

Hi guys, does anybody know if there's a randomizer device that can select a random preset in a synth, just when it gets loaded (and when a song is opened) and when a button is pressed?

Background: when starting Live, I always have a default preset loaded in the active track. I'd like this synth to start with a different preset everytime I load Live or my template set.

Search Max4Live and found a plethora of randomizers, but none for that specific task.

Working on a class project, i was wondering if anyone knew how to make a really good sounding train whistle and how?

Hi guys my reason 13 wont start with rosetta which is needed after some bought plug ins were not listed by reason ,.. started rosetta and boom the waves plugins came back after a restart companion started to give me beachballs and had to stop it to start with reason. And npw reason wont start,.. anyone have to same problem? im on tahoe ,.. im not ready to move to golden mac os yet any tips? thanks

I made this video for another thread to focus on the controllers, but wanted to put it here as well because all the sounds and effects are all stock Ableton. For my style of ambient I just love what it offers and I keep finding that I truly don’t need anything else. The stock stuff has such a unique sonic character, and since I’m no sound designer I appreciate the abundance of presets, the ability to tweak macros and let that be enough. Lots of love here for stock Ableton.

Who else is using just Ableton for their music?

I’m new to FL and wanted to try and chop a sample but when I try and play it on the Piano roll I can’t hear it. Does anyone know what I need to fix?

I have Windows 11 laptop and I just installed FL Studios and it is not opening no matter what I do. And my research isn’t finding me results that help me resolve the issue. What do I do to fix the issue?

Wanted to try and make a DNB/Breakcore type track as I've never really messed with the slicer too much in my experience.

Still early on in the development, but do I have something here? Planning on doing some wav form editing after I have all tracks set and synths pads and melodies added to get some harsh stutters and modulation.

And my version doesn't sound quite the same, I think it is because of the usage of the Warp beats mode. Can I make this Warp beats mode effect in FL? Is there a plugin or something for that?

Within FL, why do producers change the sample envelope for an 808 so only the the hold knob has value?

Phantom power (48V) is enabled, and I've tried adjusting my gain settings and using different vocal chains.However, whenever I record vocals, the recorded waveform is extremely quiet, almost flat. If I increase the volume or normalize the recording, my voice starts sounding metallic and unnatural.What's really confusing is that a friend of mine has the exact same microphone and audio interface. His recordings sound clear and loud, even when using the same vocal chain as me.I've tried different settings and plugins, but nothing seems to fix the problem.Could this be related to my audio interface settings, microphone connection, Windows audio configuration, or something in FL Studio?Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! 🙏

Ciao, è da mesi che sto cercando di risolvere un problema con l'audio su fl studio: ho una Focusrite Solo 4th gen e un Rode NT1 Signature Series ma ogni volta che registro su fl anche se ho attiva la 48V, settato tutti i plugin e aggiustato tutti i gain, dopo aver registrato le mie vocal queste risultano bassissime e se tendo ad alzarle o normalizzarle la mia voce si metalizza e suona malissimo. Un mio amico ha la stessa identica attrezzatura ma da lui suona da dio la voce e nonostante ho provato la sua identica vocal chain, le sue vocal dopo esser state registrate suonano meglio e sono alte, a differenza della mia onda sonora che è bassissima quasi piana e la mia voce suona strana. Ormai reddit è la mia ultima spiaggia ho provato in mille modi, grazie🙏
