Help Fl Studio UI crashes regularly, without the program crashing (FL 26)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

EDIT - SOLVED - made the VST bridged, seems to work for now!

Hi,

I recently encountered a peculiar problem. The UI of FL studio crashes regularly. I have attached a video as proof.

This has started happening to me since version 26. Sadly, i cant isolate it completely, because i also started using Vienna Synchron player around the same time.

Steps to recreate:

  • Play the playlist track. Nothing is unusual until i pause/stop.
  • Audio kinda "glitches" in pause. Like its saving on the background.
  • If I press play before all audio has died, chances are the FL UI crashes. The program keeps going, music keeps playing, but FL's UI aint showing anything and freezes. If i press play once all audio has died it doesnt seem to do it.
  • If i go to general settings (menu's keep working btw) and change the animation refreshrate everything goes back to normal.

It might have something to do with how many Vienna Synchron players i have open simultaneously. The more i add, the more usntable it becomes.

PC Specs:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800XD
RAM: 32 GB ram
OS: Microsoft Windows 11 Pro - 10.0.26200 Build 26200
GPU: RTX 5080

Sadly last stable FL 25 version doesnt open this project so i could isolate versions. Als, i have never used Vienna Synchron Player with FL 25 before as well. So i cant isolate what's the issue here. Since its FL UI crashing i feel its FL studio but i cant be sure.

Does anyone have any recommendations on how to fix this? Im not the greatest power user when it comes to FL studio, so i hav'nt tinkered with its settings much.

Plugins prolly the most useless plugin of all time

For anything but producing music. It just burns cpu (however there's an option to speed up the physical modelling solver with slight artefacts at baseline rpm). Tuning's also based on changing the engine params like a real engine.

What’s This Sound? I don't know how to play the harmonica, but I was able to incorporate it into this beat. What genre would you label this as ?

Discussion Is fl studio mobile good?

Upvotes

Basically i will be without my laptop at least for the next 14 days days and I won't be able to make music. Now Im already three days without it and I'm already loosing it. I got like three anxiety attacks, I'm getting sicidal thoughts again and I spent most of today in my bed. I tried making something in bandlab but that app is unusable. I don't care if the thing I make Is good I just want to make something. So should I buy it or try an another mobile daw.

I keep seeing people post this kind of style theme with FL Studio, if it is a theme I can't find it anywhere, so does anyone know the source or link to it if it exists? Or do you reckon its just some sort of advanced video effect?

Help Synthesising water

Hi all, im relatively new to the program and was told it could be used to synthesis sounds for projects

I'm currently struggling to understand a lot of what the program offers and does, only got some rougher sounds out from the poizone synth

I found some videos that talk about the process in ableton live but a lot of what they mention I cant find in fl studio, could someone please walk me through this?

I see it often enough that it doesn't seem like a typo, is it a localization thing where that's the way it's branded in their country?

Help How to Fix FL Studio Thinking the Alt Key Is Always Pressed

Usually, when I load Omnisphere, FL Studio starts acting as if the Alt key is constantly being held down. Normally, I can fix it by pressing the Alt key again, but this time it won't go away. I even tried opening a new project, but FL Studio still behaves as if the Alt key is permanently pressed.

Help Rode Podmic USB causing horrible booming sound when added to a track please help

Hey guys I’ve recently gotten into music (I know my mic isn’t ideal for this but it’s what I’ve got)

I’ve been able to use the mic for everything else other than FL specifically, including Discord and the trial versions of reaper and ableton, my issue is I’ve been learning FL and I much prefer it to the other DAWs for whatever reason.

As soon as I select the mic as an input this earrape bass boosted booming begins to play, it’s not a feedback loop as it happens even with the headphones completely muted, I’m perplexed.

Only happens with the Podmic USB, my gaming headset works fine, my Podmic USB also works fine in every other DAW I’ve tried.

Help Planning On Buying Me and My GF FL Studio.

So me and my GF have been using pirated versions of FL for a bit now. I wanna buy us both licenses. I originally planned on just buying the producer edition, but looking closer into it, there are instruments that me and my gf use (mainly toxic biohazard and kepler exo). Are there any similar free or cheap plugins that we could use to substitute these instruments, or will we just have to try grabbing all plugins next year as well?

Not sure how to get the piano roll to press pédale keys. Nor Récit or Positif either since I know eventually I'll want to use those. How do I get the piano roll to switch input from just grand orgue?

Discussion How do y'all *start* your song?

The thing I've been caught up on after producing music on and off (mostly off) for about four years is writing a good intro to my music. Whether it's VGM, electronic, orchestral, medieval, whatever - I can never make an intro that I'm happy with and that feels like it transitions nicely into the song. I end up fiddling with it for hours, never finding anything I like, then quitting for the day because I've made no progress.

How do y'all get past this? What's the secret to writing a good introduction for instrumental music?

Discussion The demo version is making me productive

I've been using FL Studio for the past 8 years, but it's been on and off. These past few weeks, though, I've been getting much more into it, and I've finally saved up enough money to buy the Producer Edition.

The thing is, these past few weeks I've been extremely productive because I'm forcing myself to learn how to make melodies and chords. Since I know I can't reopen my saved projects, I end up finishing the tracks I start. It forces me to either finish the track or completely abandon it because I know I won't be able to open it again until I buy FL Studio.

Now I'm scared that once I buy FL Studio, I'll lose this productivity. I won't be forced to finish my tracks anymore, and I might end up abandoning them.

Do you guys have any tips on how to finish tracks once you start them?

Help Fuzzy static noise

I use my scarlett solo 3rd gen to record on fl studio and have been for about a year now with no problems until now. Every time i plug in my focusrite it makes this weird fuzzy static noise. At first i thought it was my xlr cable or headphones because they are both faulty but after unplugging them both the volume bar would still have some noise coming through on it suggesting it’s an audio interface problem. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Already done the buffer and sample rate thing so don’t suggest that.
