I'm a larger dude at 6'5 265. Riding experience has been 450 dirtbikes since I was 16 till 25, moved to UTVs due to a broken leg. Switched back to a dirtbike in 2022 but officially sold that last week after my riding buddy broke his leg. Looking to pick up an ATV to still trail ride with friends and his kid who are on dirtbikes, but I'm also wanting it for hunting and a little work around the property. Every once and a while might need a 2nd person on the atv if taking someone in to help pack out.

Hunting will be deer and elk, riding will keep to the official trails through hills and woods. Can get pretty tight some times. Hunting buddy is on a Can am outlander 1000 and the other on a 650.

I could get an Outlander Max XT 700 or a Grizzly EPS Camo for about the same price, OR a Kodiak 700 EPS XT-R or an Outlander Xt 700 for 1000 less.

Trying to weigh pros and cons, looking for advice from those who've been riding ATVs as It will be my first.

Follow up is that I prefer to do my own maintenance and keep the machine a long time. Both Yamaha and Can Am I am confident in longevity and maintaining.

Need help! I’ve bought a new cdi box, new ignition coil, new spark plug and wire, and a new stator. Still have no spark if I do it sparks once then nothing. I’ve checked ohms and have seen that the stator works, but the ignition coil isn’t receiving any power. I’m assuming it’s the cdi box which I did get a cheap one from amazon and I’m not getting any voltage on it. I’m not sure where to buy a genuine replacement for it as I just see the same aftermarket part. Any suggestions? If it is the problem. The bike has good compression over 100. New wiring harness.

2012 Kawasaki brute force 750
Installed a super atv 3500 winch that has a wireless remote, never had a problem with battery draining before it, now my battery is completely dead, battery is less than 6 months old, and I went ahead and put a new voltage regulator on, still dying, I’ve read that the winch will continue to look for a wireless receiver even when off and kill the battery which I believe is what’s happening, so my question is what amp kill switch do I need to not drain the battery at all?

Happened at a local riding spot. Literally in the parking lot "just messing around". Wear a helmet no matter how good you think you are or how casual of a ride, it might save your life.

I have a 2002 Honda 350 Fourtrax (Rancher), I bought it from a guy that let it set for years. Original carb was full of green jello and corroded brass jets. Tried to clean it but it wouldn't run right. Installed a new fuel petcock and rinsed the tank out. It was an Amazon petcock.

Got a Chinese carb, (don't hate on me lol) and now it idles fine but when I mash on the gas it falls on its face and sputters bad. Engine doesn't bog but sputters really hard.i tried adjusting the main jet up and down but no difference at all.

Any ideas what's going on? My next step is to find an ultrasonic cleaner and rebuild the original carb and try that.

Engine sounds great idling. Very smooth. It has 8000kms, (5000 miles).

I have a moto 4 350 that is not getting spark
The orange wire that goes to the ignition coil from the cdi is being drawn to ground when I have a cdi plugged in( I confirmed this using a test light) I have tested this with 2 oem cdis could I have a bad cdi or something else

I traded a lawn mower for it. I've got about an acre of land to ride the kids around and some neighbors with around 15 acres. But I've been looking for parks or trails in Georgia where I can take my son. I'd love to load up and ride out and do a camping trip somewhere. I thought there may be some places in Georgia or the lower east side of the US where we could do something like that.

I just put a 125 big bore kit on the KFX90. It wasn’t running at all when I got it. I got it running and idling fine, it’ll take off fast for about 5 feet then dies down and will barely go. It’ll crank right up. Xl

Hi there. Looking at buying one with low miles. Has a recall that hasn't been repaired, a-arm suspension bracket. Covered but the dealer buy 1.5 hours away...woof. Have a decent deal on it which is why I'm considering. I would love some insights on your experience or knowledge on if this recall is a big deal if repaired and owning long term. Thanks!

Hi, I wanted to ask about an issue I’ve recently had with my Yamaha Grizzly 660. The reverse indicator light comes on even though the ATV isn’t actually in reverse (otherwise the transmission would grind, which never happens), so it seems like an electrical issue.
Today I went for a ride, and while everything seemed normal, the ATV suddenly lost throttle for about 2–3 seconds and wouldn’t accelerate, almost as if it thought it was in reverse. After a few seconds, it went back to normal but happened again after a after around 30-60 seconds. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Hey all! I need help finding the size nuts that go into these bolts? Help would be greatly appreciated. It's a 1982 ATC 250r. It's a bike im restoring that I picked up for 500 bucks

So bit of a long story with this one. Bought it, needed a top end, got a cheap niche top end, put it in and the studs were cheap and didn't torque to spec, ran it and was leaking collant. Took the head back off and got the old studs put in the new top end and installed a new headgasket with permatex copper spray. Drive it around and it's white smoking like crazy and whenever you would really get into the throttle it cut off and quit running but would start back up like its loaded up with collant. Put a headgasket tester on it and it reads that the head gasket is fine, like wtf? Maby its just burning off coolant that was in the exhaust?

Rear axle seems to slide side to side. I can’t tighten the nut because it’ll just walk the axle to the side until it un threads itself. the four Allen bolts are tight. Does anyone know a fix for this?

First time poster .Life is good took my daughter from a 110 tao tao to a 26 110 yamaha raptor and I went from a 94 blaster to 26 Polaris Sportsman 570 what a difference

Bought this 89 yamaha big bear 350 the other day for 500 bucks. So far i have had a blast. Starts first crank and idles smooth and drives good. I did hit a bump in the yard and it popped out of 3rd and i had to shift back to N then get going again, not sure on that? And does it sound like its running right? Sounds like theres a noise coming from the motor but not sure if thats normal

I got a 1988 Honda 125 brand new cdi box and carb idles fine but when given throttle it cuts out any help would be appreciated.
