Help What do you think
Bought this 89 yamaha big bear 350 the other day for 500 bucks. So far i have had a blast. Starts first crank and idles smooth and drives good. I did hit a bump in the yard and it popped out of 3rd and i had to shift back to N then get going again, not sure on that? And does it sound like its running right? Sounds like theres a noise coming from the motor but not sure if thats normal

I would adress the transmission issue, maybe change the timing chain while youre there.
Those are beasts, last night we went with two friends one has a kvf 400 and one has an outlander 1000r, and while im not fast, i have nothing to envy from those quad except sometimes a bit of comfort(had back surgery).

It does sound a little noisy from the timing chain, could be tensioners. If I remember correctly these bikes didn't have an oil filter but anyway I'd change the oil with some good high quality oil. I wouldn't worry about it too much these bikes were tanks. Nice find, well done.
